CHAPTER 16: PREPARATION

The maids in Master Guang's house were busy preparing food because his only daughter Mrs. Jing Chin is coming together with her family as we are in the living room waiting for their arrival. Finally, two hours later, the family arrived.

Master Guang first approached the family. He was delighted to see the daughter, who had not been home for a long time.

"Dad, how are you? I miss you so much, daddy." The woman said while crying.

Master Guang also burst into tears at his daughter and hugged her tightly. "I miss you too, my daughter." Master Guang said.

"Hmmm, dad, meet your granddaughter Jia." She held his daughter as she introduced her to Master Guang.

I was amazed by my husband's cousin. She is so beautiful, and her height was just like a model, and the way she moves as a sophisticated woman.

"Hi, grandpa, how are you?" she greeted her grandfather, simultaneously hugging him.

"I'm okay, my granddaughter. Finally, we met. I can't believe that you're a lady now." Master Guang respond.

The aunt of Leonard continues to speak, "And, grandpa, your grandson Ru." Master Guang smiled at his grandson name Ru. It's also handsome like Leonard and Ethan, but its aura is a bit playboy and rude. Seeing his face, I can feel that Ru can't be trusted.

"Oh, my, Ru, I can't believe how tall you are and handsome." Master Guang praised his grandson.

"Thanks, grandpa," Ru replied.

The husband of the aunt of Leonard also quickly approached and greeted Master Guang. "Hi, father, how are you?"

Master Guang's face suddenly changes. "I'm okay," Master Guang replied.

While Master Guang enjoys talking to the newly arrived daughter, I noticed Ethan was staring differently at his aunt. He seems to be angry with it.

"Ahem, It looks like we need to eat." Leonard cut the conversation between the father and daughter.

Her aunt looked at him and smiled at him as she said, "Oh, Leonard, is that you? I can't believe that you're grown-up now and this girl?" her aunt asked as she raised her eyebrows at me.

I realized that my husband's aunt had an attitude. My desire to impress her seems vague to happen, but even so, I still introduced myself to her while smiling. "Hello, auntie, I'm Alyssa, the wife of Leonard. It's nice to see you." Simultaneously I brought my hand closer to her to shake hands, but I was disappointed because she didn't seem to pay attention to me.

Instead, she faces my husband again. "Oh, my nephew, you got married already? Why didn't you even invite me? My feelings hurt. Where did you get this woman? She looks ordinary to me. I didn't know that your taste towards women is just plain. I want to introduce you to someone who was the heiress, but I guess I'm late." The sarcastic response of her aunt to Leonard.

I was insulted by what his aunt said. I just bowed why holding back my tears. When suddenly my husband spoke, "Why didn't you ask grandpa about it, my dear aunt. Why did he choose an ordinary woman for me to marry? And whoever you want to introduce to me, why don't you just introduce it to Ru? Who knows, he might become an instant CEO of the company?"

Ru was angry at Leonard's treatment of his mother, so he spoke up, "How dare you treat my mother like that?"

Neither did my husband give up and answered it as well. "And how dare her insult, my wife!"

Master Guang approaches them to stop the feud. "Enough! Don't fight anymore! And Jing, my daughter, next time, I don't want to hear again that you will insult Alyssa in front of other people. Especially in front of me. Understood?" Master Guang commanded his daughter.

Leonard smirks at his aunt while her aunt glared at me. Seeing in the eyes of her aunt, who was furious with me, made me even more convinced that we would never really get along. Finally, after staring at me angrily, she approached Master Guang with a smile and said, "Okay, dad, sorry, Alyssa, will you forgive me?" she faked her smile to me and even her sorry to me, and to avoid trouble, I just nodded.

"Okay, let's eat," said Master Guang, so we all went to the dining room and Ethan, wasn't even given a chance to greet his aunt.

We are already sitting at a large table where a variety of food is on it. Then we ate together in silence. After we ate, my husband and I left the dining room table first and went to the bedroom. When we enter the room, I quickly sat on the bed. I feel like I'm relieved of being trapped.

When my husband suddenly undressed in front of me. That's why I shouted and put my hands over my eyes. "Ahhh...!"

My husband was stunned. He stopped what he was doing and turned to me. "What's wrong? Why did you shout?" he asked.

He saw my hands covering my face, so he was surprised.

He approached me and took my hands that covered my face. I noticed that his hand was already holding my hands covering my face, so I stiffened my hand from covering, but he is powerful than me, so he succeeded. That is why what I did was close my eyes tightly so I couldn't see his Adonis-like body.

"Hey, why are you afraid? Wait, is this your first time seeing a guy half-naked? Haven't you had a boyfriend before? No way!" he asked curiously.

I still didn't open my eyes when he said, "Come on, open your eyes, talk to me. It's no big deal! I'm just half-naked."

I don't want him to get angry, so I was forced to open my eyes and confesses to him the truth. "The truth is I haven't had a boyfriend since birth."

Leonard's eyes widened at what I said.

"What? You have never had a relationship before?" he asked in shock.

"Yes, I never had one," I answered him honestly.

He frowned and asked again, "How old are you again?"

"I-I'm twenty years old," I said.

"What, you're twenty years old and never even have a boyfriend before? You're not that ugly, though, but why?" he added.

"I'm focusing on my study," I answered.

"Oh, so you’re studying. I didn't know that, so that means you've been absent already for a few days?"

"Yeah, I am, and that's what I would like to ask you if you would allow me to go to school tomorrow?" I asked him.

"Of course you can," he answered.

I was so happy because he agreed, so I got to find an opportunity to ask for another request. "Ahm, Leonard, can I ask another request to you?"

He wondered what else I wanted, but he still agreed, "Okay, what is it?"

I sighed before I answered, "Hmmm, will you accompany me next week to our house? I want to visit grandma to tell her the truth that I am married."

My husband's eyes widened at what I admitted to him.

"What? Your grandmother didn't know you got married?"

I answered him with a nod. He even held his head in confusion but thank God he still agreed.
