Chapter 51: Chapter 51

"Brute! Very arrogant and so full of himself! Annoying jerk!" I couldn't stop assaulting the poor burger in front of me with the fork in my hand as I aggressively stab the fried egg on my plate.

"Hey! Is everything okay? Can you pity your food already? You keep on stabbing the poor thing like the burger has offended you or something." I heard Janet chuckled as she said that, bringing me out of my thought.

"I wish I never meet him. He's the worst nightmare for me." I said again.

" And, who are you talking about?."

"Who else if not your crazy brother." I answered in a frustrated tone.

" What did he do? You two seem to get along very well with me. So, what's going on?. "

I look at her and sneered. Get along my foot!" I said. "You won't believe he's forcing me to go on a business trip with him. I mean, why should I go with him in the first place? From where did that thought come from? I'm just his business partner.. well, to the world, I'm but between us... I'm just his worker but, I can't even control how I live anymore. It's more like, he's the one controlling everything in my life now. I can't eat the way I want to, I can't talk with people the way I want to above all, and I can't even control my hair! My hair, Janet!!!"  I let everything out in a frustrated tone.

This man is killing me little by little. The worst part is that I can't seem to get him off my head. I think about him every second! Every given minute, I think about this man. The kiss he had with Vivian earlier is still fresh and clean in my head, I can't seem to get it off my head. The thought of the two getting back together is making me boil in anger and I don't even know why I'm feeling this way!

"Look, I see no wrong in what he did. You just said it... His worker. He employed you. You should be beside him wherever he goes... That's supposed to be your work according to what you two signed in your contract, right? You can't leave his side at any minute." She said.

I knew it! She will support him no matter what.

Betrayal!

"How about, you ask me to follow him into the bathroom? I should be with him if he's going to pee and take his bath, right?." I hissed which made her chuckle in return.

"Come on, you know, I'm right. I didn't see anything wrong in you following him to Toronto. Besides, it's only normal for you to go with him after all, the other business investors know you to be in co-partner with brother.. so, it's normal else, there's something you're not telling to me."

" Wh... what do you mean, there's something else? Of..of course, nothing is going on between us." I stuttered.

She chuckled. " Chloe, I never said anything is going on between you two.  Come on, finish your food so we can leave. It's almost 2 pm." She said as she look at her wristwatch.

We're to meet mom and Tiana at the hospital and then go home together. And Janet refused to go back home. She insists on staying with us, well, I have no problem with that. She's my friend and truly, I considered her a sister. "So, what time will your plane take off?." She asked.

"I haven't checked yet because his boy came earlier to give me my passport. He said morning, somewhat like that. You can't imagine how much I wanted to slap that face of his."

"Then be ready to be fired. You can't do anything about it, Chloe. I don't know why you're taking this too personal as It's not a hard thing to do. It's just a trip. Knowing how my brother is, do you know a lot of girls will be delighted to be in your shoes right now? It's just like a new exploration for you. You will be able to see a lot of things... You haven't been there, you should be happy."

" I would have been happy if it's not him." I hissed.

" I don't seem to understand you. One moment, you praise him and the other moment, you look like you're about to murder him if you see him... You're acting weird."

" You think so? Am I acting weird?."

" Yes... Like someone, who's in love?." It's a question, not a statement.

" What?!" I exclaimed. "Are you crazy?! Why would I be in love with a jerk like him? He's not even my type of man."

Lies! Lies!! Lies!!!

Deep down, I know I'm not saying the truth. The feeling I started to develop for him recently is different. I've never felt that way towards any man before, not even Farhan. Sometimes, when I got nothing to do, I stalk him on social media and even google him just to see his face.

"You know, I don't know what's wrong with you two. You two seem like two people who are in love with each other. You're denying your feelings for him and he's doing the same thing too. Look Chloe, I like you... everyone does in my family and-"

"They still do because they had no idea I'm Chloe. They believe I'm Vivian."

"And they'll never find out anything about you. No one is going to tell them about you. Besides, you can't say. They might not get upset at you eventually if they find out the real truth about you.. Just like me. I might be upset at you for lying but, that was all. You've been through a lot and you deserve to be happy too."

"I plan on telling them the truth only after Ken gets his company. I can't keep on deceiving them."

"You can't be serious! You still believe, you and Ken can't work out?."

"I'm serious, Janet. They need to know the truth. Besides, it's not like your brother and I loved each other and, we're going to get married... It's simply a contract and that's all."

"You think, all this is nothing but a contract between you two? Okay, I'm not going to say anything about this anymore. Let's just see, how things go between you two. Hurry up and finish your food." She said.

Once we were done, we paid for our meal and left for the hospital but, I couldn't stop thinking about what she said to me.
