"But, you can make it real Chloe. You can dam that. I've seen the connection between you two and I believe, you're the right one for Ken. Please, make him yours." She beseeches me in a desperate tone.

"Janet, I don't understand you. Do you even know what you're saying?."

"To be sincere with you, I do not want him to get back together with that gold digger." She hissed as she said that.

"Gold digger? Who are you talking about?."

"Vivian, his ex-girlfriend."

"What do you mean, you do not want them back together?."

"I heard, she has been visiting Ken's office for the past weeks now and trying to get his attention at all cost. Chloe, this is your chance to claim what's yours. If she successfully waves Ken's heart then, it's over. She's not the right one for him, please, you need to do something." She begged me.

I don't know what's wrong with me but, learning that another woman is trying to get his attention- that, his ex-girlfriend is making me boil in anger already.

Did he love her that much? Why is Janet scared of the two of them coming back together?

"Erm... Janet, is there anything I need to know about that girl? Why are you this tensed because of her?."

"That's because she's a stupid girl who knows nothing other than money. Ken used to love her so much and, even defy his parents because of her despite their warning and disapproval of their relationship. He proposed to her which, she accepted. But, a day before their wedding, she elope with Ken's best friend, Nathan."

"Ken's best friend? I thought, his only best is Andrew?."

"No. They used to be three. Ken, Nathan, and Andrew. They're all best friends like brothers but, that gold digger was able to come in between them. She elope with him and ruined Ken. Ever since she left, he became a different person. He was not ready for any commitments other than, to bed girls and use them."

"We were all surprised when we learn that he has a real girlfriend, which is you. Especially Aunt, she was so happy... I, also thought it was not until yesterday when I found out the whole truth."

"We learned that she left Ken for Nathan only because, at that time, Nathan has more wealth than Ken. She choose him over Ken because of his wealth and now, now that she realized he's swimming in wealth, now that she knows... He's the president son of this country, she wants to come back to him. Please Chloe, do not allow that to happen. That girl is no good news at all." She beseeches me again.

"I understand all that you've said but, what can I possibly do, Janet? I can't stop him from going back to his ex-lover! Ken and I are not in love with each other."

"I've seen the connection between you two. Everyone knows you two like each other, I do not know why you both can't see that?." She hissed and rolled her eyes.

"Okay, fine! You do not want her to come back into your brother's life, right?." I asked.

Even I, do not want her back for Ken for some strange reason. "Hmmm." She hummed.

"Okay, I'm going to try my best not to allow that to happen... Is that okay with you?."

"No, not yet."

"What again?."

"Can't you two get married?."

"Janet!!!" I exclaimed out her name.

"What?." She questioned back like, what she had just said is the best thing.

"Why? You can't do that?."

"Do I have to remind you that both Ken and I -"

"Have nothing going on between us." She finished off for me.  "Come on, girl! You can make him yours and even have kids with him if you play your card well."

"Is this now a game?."

"No! But, for Ken to be together with that crazy, gold digger girl. I would rather he spent the rest of his life single."

"Fine! I believe, something can be done about that. I can see, you're no longer upset at me anymore for wanting me to end up with your brother. You even wanted me to bear him kids."

"Of course, I like you and everyone in my family does so, becoming a daughter in Domanco's family will be the best for you... What do you think?." She asked whilst I look at her strangely.

I can't believe despite knowing everything about me, she's still hell-bent on making me end up being with her brother for real.

"Okay, I've heard you. Let's forget about that for now. Aren't you going to ask after your friend?." I meant, Tiana.

"Of course! I know she will be with Aunt by now. Besides, I phoned her hours ago and she told me she will be spending the weekend at her aunt's place. And that means I will also be spending the weekend here with you."

"What?!!"

"Tell me, you don't want me here."

"No. Of course, not. That's not what I meant to say. I was only surprised... That's all."

"You don't have to. Baby girl is here to take Tiana's place for some few days before she returns."

I smiled and shook my head at her. She's worse than Tiana.  "Actually, I was just about to reply to some emails before you came in. If you don't mind, I need to-"

"Go, and do your work while I go in there to do mine." She attempted to get up but I stopped her.

"Where are you going to and, what's that you're holding?."

"These... are the fruits and little grocery shopping I did before coming here. Since I will be staying here with you for a few days... I will be preparing today's lunch." She announced excitedly.

"Yo... You can cook?." I asked in s stunned tone.

"Girl! What do you take me for? Of course, I can cook. I'm not a spoilt brat you know. Mom taught us how to do everything including my brothers too."

"Brothers?."

"Ken and Joshua. Both guys are perfect for preparing any kind of meal... Especially, Ken."

"Are you serious?."

"I'm damn, serious Chloe."
