Ray didn't hear directly what Samuel said at the restaurant, but Alexa did. Since Samuel accidentally said it without knowing Alexa was there, it further indicated that the news was true. When Ray said he left his phone, how could she believe him? Samuel received the call that afternoon and it was clear that Ray had told him to accompany Hailey.

He contacted Samuel after she sent him a message! This man was clearly lying!

From this position Ray couldn't see Alexa's face, but he could imagine her annoyed expression. He said, "I'm not lying, Alexa."

"Of course you didn't lie to meet your beloved fiancé out there."

Ray was stunned. "How many times do I have to tell you that you misunderstood? Hailey and I have broken up."

"Misunderstood? So for you it's just me who misunderstood, right?" Alexa's voice was very scornful.

"Alexa ..." Ray hugged her stomach.

Alexa slapped his hands away and stood up. "Don't touch me!"

Her face was very red, indicating that she was completely overcome with anger. She stared at Ray with hatred, until he stood up and approached her but stepped back a bit to give her some distance.

"OK, fine, I was wrong. It was my fault for leaving my phone in a hurry, but I didn't mean to."

Alexa stared at him blankly. "You're still lying?"

"I'm not lying. You can ask Samuel or anyone at the office. They will know that I left my phone there."

Alexa snorted coldly.

Ray tried to take her hand, and was swatted away again. He explained in exasperation, "I only came back late at night to get the phone. When I got home, I saw your text. Because I was afraid you would be angry, I came here right away."

"I was waiting for you alone without certainty and suddenly heard that you were leaving with your fiancé. How do you think I felt at that time?" A single drop of her tear fell.

For a moment she was surprised why she was crying, why her heart was so torn and sore, why it seemed like the world would collapse on her head any minute.

"That's why I want to apologize to you, Lexa. I forgot to tell you before leaving." Ray said in a soft and low voice. He gripped her shoulders, looking her straight in the eyes. "Please believe me. I swear I'm not lying to you."

Alexa shook her head. More tears fell down her cheeks.

She imagined how Ray and Hailey had gone together and the wound in her heart was bleeding badly. She didn't know what kind of painful feeling this was.

Instead she could only continue to denounce, "How could she get hurt suddenly? Did you play rough enough in bed that she couldn't even walk?"

Ray couldn't believe Alexa could say that.

"You turned me down for sex, but you did it with your fiancé, didn't you?" She said.

Ray frowned. "I don't."

"What wouldn't be? When I think about it, this is the only valid reason."

"You're going too far! You're going too far with your own speculations."

"So what? Do you hate it? This is my true nature. Now that you know, what are you going to do now? Are you going to be angry?"

Ray ruffled his hair. "How can I make you believe me."

"Stay away from Hailey."

Ray was stunned.

"By not seeing her again, maybe I can believe your words."

"Me and Hailey don't have any problems, how could we not be allowed to meet?" Ray was confused.

"So you would rather meet her than listen to me?"

"Lexa, I told you I had nothing to do with her. She was injured and I helped her take her to the hospital. Nothing more."

"Well, if you're not lying, could it be that she is?" Alexa shouted. "Could she be pretending to be injured to attract your attention again?"

What kind of nonsense was this?

Ray was starting to get annoyed. "You can't look down on her like that, she was really injured. I saw the wounds. They were all real wounds."

"You're right, she's injured. And her needs are more important than mine. Please go, Ray. The door is over there."

"What the hell, I still don't understand where it went wrong?!" Ray's voice rose.

"I am jealous!" Alexa replied no less loudly. "I'm jealous of her. Why? Can't I even be jealous of my own boyfriend? That's if you still think of me as your girlfriend."

Ray couldn't say anything.

"Now that your business with her is over, you've been a good person to take her to the hospital. So you can stay away from her after this, right?"

Ray still couldn't understand Alexa's way of thinking. "What if I don't want to?"

His relationship with Hailey had indeed ended, but what would his grandfather say that they couldn't even be good friends after that. The first generation of his family had been indebted to the Tatum family. At least he will not show an arrogant attitude considering that his family could still stand because of the help of other people in the past.

Ray wanted Alexa to understand that.

She turned around, but before she could go far, a pair of hands grabbed her waist firmly. She didn't know what happened until her back hit the nearest wall, before she could protest, her lips were forcefully kissed by Ray. She was shocked. The hand on her waist was still there, pressing her against the body in front of her until their bodies were attached together. Thingking quickly, she tried to break free, but the more she struggled the tighter the kiss was.

Wet lips trapped her greedily as if they wanted to swallow her alive. Warm breath, hot tongue and lust mixed into one whole that held her hard.

Alexa moaned in pleasure. A hot tongue penetrated her mouth without mercy, struggling with her own tongue. Making splashing sounds that filled the air.

It was hot. But unexpectedly, great.

Her head was empty. The strong dominance of the man in front of her affected her movements. Her legs weakened and she almost fell, but a pair of hands held her thighs in place.

Ray kissed her. A passionate hot kiss as if he was invaded by lust. Alexa couldn't think straight like she was drunk. She knew her lips were being forcefully chewed and she could do nothing.

Her brain went blank.

It was as if she had returned to five years ago-where the same lips had kissed her so incredibly amazing.

No way. What was she thinking? She must be crazy she enjoyed this!

"Nngh." Alexa moaned once again. This time black spots started dancing on her eyes as her chest felt tight. Oxygen was taken away from her. She couldn't breathe.

Her eyes, which almost turning inside her head slapped her again into the earth, she finally came to her senses completely and managed to escape the deadly kiss. This time it worked.

-she was panting and coughing loudly.

She looked up with an angry red face, realizing that she wasn't the only one out of breath. At that moment, she realized that both her legs were already perched on someone else's waist.

"Let me down." She said irritably.

Ray put her down, his voice cold as he said, "Have you cleared your head?"

'Cleared your head, my ass. You almost made me go to hell!'

Of course she didn't voice this out loud. But she didn't hide her annoyance and still wanted him to feel the same annoyance as her, even angrier!

She said with finality, "Nope. But I will if you obey me this time."

"If you don't want to stay away from her, then our relationship has to end."
