Chapter 66: Chapter 66

Just after Ray left the cafe, her father called, "What about your unruly little brother?"

Yasmin rolled her eyes. "Why did you have to call me even though you already knew the answer?"

There was a soft groan from the other end of the phone.

"Your lackey left immediately after Ray left, you think I don't remember his face?"

Yasmin was really tired of her own father. The old man was clearly much more worried about Ray than the others, but when they met he only talked with muscles!

Richard cleared his throat again. "Who? I don't understand what you mean."

Yasmin didn't want to argue with him. "Get ready to be introduced to your new future daughter-in-law, Dad."

Before he could answer, she hung up the call and sighed.

She should have known that her father would do this. Since entering the cafe, there was a strange person who was probably following her. So she took a seat near the window and watched the person. It was clearly her father's errand boy who was as loyal as a guard dog.

When Ray arrived, that person also entered the cafe, blending in as if he were a stranger.

But in reality he was eavesdropping.

Her father really wanted a spanking!

If there were things he could do himself, then he should do them himself. Why bother asking her to persuade Ray? Her father was actually not the same as her grandfather, he was just too carried away by his grandfather's emotions, so it was not uncommon for him to take it out on Ray too.

The parents at home really haven't changed. Yasmin would really scold them if Ray refused to come home because of them again!

Elsewhere, Ray had arrived at the playground and left Adam waiting on the side of the road.

The head nurse who saw him immediately smiled and said, "Thank you for coming. Mr. Sanders. I've tried to contact Mrs. Greisy, but there was no answer from her. The school today held a parents gathering for a small meeting. From start to finish, Mrs. Greisy was not present."

Ray frowned. "School is over?"

"Yes. I think it doesn't matter if Mrs. Greisy is busy working. I might be able to tell her the results of the meeting later. It's just that the other children have gone home with their parents, but Mrs. Greisy didn't come and couldn't be contacted." The head nurse straightforwardly explained everything so that Ray understood why he had been called here.

When he picked up Fillo last time, he deliberately left his contacts so that the nurse could contact him if something happened.

He was thankful it was useful now.

He calmed her down. "Thank you for contacting me, um ..."

The nurse interrupted, "Call me Sister Lily."

"Okay, Sister Lily. Where's Fillo?"

"He's in the park, I'll take you."

The park was completely empty because the children had gone home. Fillo's small and petite figure was hidden in a colorful ball box, sitting on the edge with his hand supporting his chin. Looked lonely and sad.

"Fillo."

Fillo's head snapped up at the familiar voice. His eyes shone brightly. He got up and ran. "Daddy!!!"

Sister Lily, "..."

Ray immediately squatted down. "Wow! Wow! Don't run, Peanut. You'll fall."

"I'm sorry, Daddy." Fillo didn't look sorry at all, burying himself in Ray's neck.

Sister Lily was a little confused now. Alexa once said that Fillo didn't have a father, but with Ray's presence and Fillo's sudden change in mood, she started to wonder again.

Moreover, they were very similar, they both had blue eyes.

Was this Fillo's real father?

Fillo, who was being carried by Ray, immediately made himself comfortable.

"Sister Lily, I will take Fillo home now," said Ray, stroking the back of the boy head.

Sister Lily was still a little dazed, almost wanting to ask, but she swallowed again. Instead said, "Okay. Be careful on the way home."

"Fillo, say goodbye to Sister Lily."

Fillo's head peeked out from Ray's neck, somewhat embarrassed and isolated. "Goodbye, Sister Lily."

His voice was so small and adorable, it made the two adults want to swallow him alive.

"Goodbye and see you tomorrow, Fillo." Sister Lily waved at him.

After saying goodbye, Ray took him into the car and tried to call Alexa. While waiting for the connection, he asked Fillo, "Your mom doesn't know if there is a meeting at your school?"

Fillo shook his head quickly.

So what was this shaking head mean? Fillo didn't know about the matter, or did Alexa not know that there was a school meeting?

After several calls, Alexa's phone still couldn't be reached. The number was out of service. Her phone must have run out of battery. Ray finally decided to contact her office.

Melva answered, "Good afternoon, Papirus Wedding Organizer here."

Ray said in essence, "I'm Ray Sanders, I wonder if Alexa is in the office at the moment?"

"Ah," The person on the other end of the phone paused for a moment, long enough for Ray to glance at the phone to make sure the connection was still there. Then he heard the once firm voice become a little strange, "Um, I'm sorry, Mr. Sanders, my boss hasn't arrived yet. Is there anything urgent? I'll try to contact her for you."

Ray sighed. "No need, I already called her, but her phone was dead."

Melva sounded worried, "Boss isn't usually like that. Could it be that she's gone out of town?"

Ray, "..."

"Boss usually goes out of town, I don't know where, but she does every few months."

"!!!"

How could she possibly be out of town leaving Fillo behind? That was not possible!

Ray became nervous. "Who did she meet out of town? Was that her boyfriend?"

There was another long pause, there was a voice whispering on the other end of the phone which was unclear and vague. Ray didn't catch anything and became more uneasy.

"Mr. Sanders, I'm sorry, but I can't give Boss's information to strangers." Melva sounded sorry.

Ray frowned. Strangers? So Alexa didn't tell her that Ray was her boyfriend?

But he didn't reveal it. He wanted to learn to be a reliable informant like Adam, starting to try to get useful information about his little girlfriend.

"I'm his close friend, you remember me, right?" said Ray, even though Ray himself didn't know which employee was talking to him now. He was been to Alexa's office before, at least someone knew him, right? "I'm with her son right now. She can't be contacted at all. If something like this happens in the future and I'm not there, what will happen to the kid if the mother isn't there?"

"Yes, I remember you, Mr. Sanders. Is Fillo with you?" Melva said.

"Yeah, he's with me. Fillo, say 'hello'."

"Hellooooo." The little boy cooperated innocently.

"Did you hear? You definitely know this is Fillo's voice and I'm not lying. If you might have her boyfriend's number, give it to me, I'll call him to ask about her."

This was right. Ray abandoned his gentle character to become impatient and somewhat demanding—threatening as well. He was sure this would work.

He didn't believe that Alexa had another lover, but he couldn't help but feel worried and wanted to confirm himself.

In the quiet office at this time, Melva was nervous at her desk. She glanced at the new employee next to her and made a gesture. The new employee named Sora typed something on her phone and showed it to Melva.

'Will our Majesty tolerate gossiping officials?'

Melva glared at her, which didn't help. All employees would be skinned alive if even just one person made a mistake. She was experienced and knew what her boss was like.

However, Melva also clearly remembered who Ray Sanders was. This man was a charming man who finally turned his boss's small company into a multipurpose planner. What previously only accepted wedding planning has now expanded to planning birthday parties, office events and other events that require decoration.

Their small office was now rich in such a small building!

Remembering how rich and handsome Ray was, Melva forgot about Alexa for a moment and proposed to share the profits. She stroked her pregnant belly. "Mr. Sanders, I'll tell you, but could you pray for my unborn child instead?"

Actually, Melva wanted him to rub her tummy, but that was imposible.

She heard a gasp. "I didn't know you were pregnant, congratulations to you. I sincerely wish the best for your future child, if they are a boy, he will be handsome and kind like me, if they are a girl she will be like your boss."

"!!!"

"I mean, it would be beautiful like her."

Melva was relieved to hear that, she had just thought that if her daughter had a fierce character like her boss, she would probably jump from the twentieth floor.

But Ray was apparently very confident in praising himself.

"Thank you, Mr. Sanders, for your prayers." Melva blushed.
