Chapter 7: Chapter 7

If it's one thing that I hate, it's cliche shit. For instance, me passing out almost everywhere. Honestly, I am starting to think our goddess, Nyx, is finding it funny. My eyes start to stir from the sedation. I awake to a warm, heat caressing my body. It almost felt like a warm blanket had been placed on me. My vision clears to see Trevor's wolf wrapped around me. Where was everyone else? His body was covered in lacerations. I guess he fought off the people coming after me. Oh my god, I hope he didn't hurt my mom! I jump up and realize I am back in human form. I was naked in front of Trevor. I pulled long strands of my blue hair to cover my breast and let the rest cover my butt. I look for anything to cover my vagina but nothing in the cave stood out to use. I take another look at Trevor's gashed up body. He needs medical attention, I think to myself. I rush out of the cave, the bright sun meets me, and I find a vine with thorns. I pull the vine down and pick off the vine's thorns. Of course, one of them sticks me. I lick my finger from the dribble of blood and notice it heals instantly. Still gross. I shake my head and find some leaves to make a skirt with. I notice some herbs that I remember helps treat wounds. I pick them, find a half broken open log, and a sturdy stick to mash them up with. I grab a few more leaves to help stick to the wounds. I make my way back to the cave and find Trevor still passed out. His blood looks to be rushing out more than it was before. I immediately place the log on the ground with the other stuff. Then I slowly roll his wolf figure over to find a open wound. He should be dead with this wound! However, I remember shifters are different and the law of nature doesn't apply to them. I don't have time to build a fire. Then I remember that electricity can create fire! I zip back out of the cave and grab a long enough stick to light a blaze to cauterize the wound. I make my way back to him and his breathing becomes labored. I focus on moving the electricity all to one finger. I close my eyes tight and I pray to Nyx to please let me be able to save this man. Then I feel a spark of electricity at the tip of my finger. I open my eyes abruptly and the electricity shoots out and lights the stick on fire at the end. I take the stick and immediately burn his wound to close. He howls in pain. His sounds cause my wolf to become restless. I could feel her pacing within my mind. *Mine!* she growls. "I know! I know! I am doing all I can!" I shout at her. I focus back on Trevor. The wound is finally closed and he reverts back to being human. He was laying on his side, so I didn't see anything exposing. I take a deep breath and wipe the sweat from my brow. I walk over to the log and pick up all the stuff I dropped. I mash the herbs together to create a paste. I place the paste on the lacerations and put a leaf on top of each to seal it in. After doing so, I lay against the cave wall with my legs propped up covering myself. I wanted to wait until he woke up before falling asleep. My heart was in pieces because of him. He had a lot of explaining to do. Starting with the kiss. I couldn't stop thinking about it when I was dreaming. Just what game was he playing at? I place my head on my knees' not wanting to think about it any further.

I feel someone caressing my face. I guess I must've fell asleep. I turn my head to see Trevor in all his glory. I immediately cover my eyes. "Put something on!" I push him away. I am sure my face was red as red could be. I could hear him chuckling as he made his way out of the cave. Glad he could find some humor. I uncover my face and try to calm down. Unfortunately, the image of his body keeps popping in my head. After a few minutes, he comes back with a bear hide wrapped around his lower body. "Better?" "Much." My stomach growls and Trevor looks at me amused. I turn my face away. "You wanna go hunt some food?" I turn my face back to him and nod. It wouldn't be the first time I ate game, so I wasn't picky. "Turn away, so I can undress." He turns around and strips as well. I didn't want to ruin my makeshift clothes. I let my shift come naturally and rush out the cave to hunt. Trevor is not far behind. We spot a deer about a several minutes in. Trevor slowly corners it from one side, while I take up the other. He goes for the kill and misses. I feel electricity spark at my feet and I take off. I jump on a nearby boulder and catch it by the neck when I leap. Trevor catches up and helps haul it back to the cave. We get dressed and he tells me to wait inside. I didn't mind, considering I wasn't too fond of gutting animals. Ironic right? About a hour or two goes by as the sun sets, Trevor walks back in with cooked deer meat. He placed the warm meat in my hands and I dug in. "This is delicious!" I shout with excitement. "I am glad you like it. " he smiles and eats as well. "Where did you get spices?" I ask with intrigued thought. "You learn to use the land around you. It can get kinda bland over time. Trial and error I suppose." He shrugs. We both laugh and continue with our meal.

Night falls from the entrance of the cave, I sit outside and watch the stars. I found peace looking at them. "Enjoying the night sky?" Trevor sits down next to me. "Yeah, I find it peaceful." I continue to gaze at the stars when I remember what I wanted to talk about with Trevor. "Trevor?" I look at him. "Yeah? What's up?" "I wanted to talk to you about the Luna Summons." I rub my arm up and down. My wolf takes notice of my restlessness and tries to soothe me. "Ah. You're wondering about the sudden kiss, right?" He does a small laugh and looks at the sky. "Well...it's because you're my luna. It's customary for the Alpha to kiss the female he acknowledges as his other half." His voice suddenly started to sound sorrowful. "However, after you ran away...they took that as you rejecting me." I put my hand over my mouth from shock. "I, I didn't...oh my, I am so sorry." "It's not your fault. I am sure you had your own mixed feelings. Jessica didn't help with that. Speaking of, " he shakes his head in confusion, "why didn't you attack her?" I couldn't answer his question because even I didn't know. Maybe because I pitied her or because she would've pushed me off the cliff? This time I shake my head, "I am not exactly sure. It didn't exactly occur to me." Then I remembered the pain in her eyes. It was the same pain I felt when I figured out Trevor saw me as a tool. "Actually, I think it was because we shared the same pain. She acted out of a broken heart. I could understand where her frustrations were." He places a hand on my shoulder, "Still, it wasn't right for her to put your life in danger." I nod my head. I couldn't disagree with that. "So, I guess it's true, about you seeing me as tool huh?" I ask half-heartedly. "Orignally, yes...I was planning to destroy you after your purpose had been fulfilled. However, it all changed when my wolf saw exactly what you are." I give him a distasteful look, "I see, my life only became valuable, first for your agenda and secondly after figuring out I was your "True"" I quote with my fingers. Oh no Tix is rubbing off. "love. Huh? Well, I am not falling for that cheap excuse. It's absolute bullshit." I stand abruptly and walk back inside the cave. "That's not what I meant!" He runs his hand through his hair. "Then what did you mean? Because all I hear is how valuable my life is under circumstances. Hate to break it you, but I value me. Even if you don't." I start thinking of plan to get back to the mansion. "Shane. You are going to stay here with me." His voice was low and commanding. I snap my head up and walk up into his space. I could tell his wolf was in control. I cut my eyes at him, "I don't care if it's the wolf or the human. You both make my skin crawl. If you think for one moment being a domineering jack-ass Alpha will make me listen. I suggest you eat a piece of humble pie. Got me, Alpha?" I spit the last word out slowly. Letting the venom roll off my tongue. I bump his body out of the way with my shoulder and he grabs me. "Get your fucking claws off me!" I could feel the electricity popping on my skin. I knew Trevor did too because he looked to be in pain but refused to let go. "You're staying." "Make me, Jack-ass." I say cool and collected. He throws me on the ground but made sure to protect my head. That's odd, why would he do that? It's better to knock me out...what is he trying to prove? I kick him off of me and he goes flying about two to three feet. We both get back on our feet and stare at eachother long and hard. "I don't want to fight, Shane." "Then what do you want?! What do you mean Trevor?! What does all of this mean?!" I couldn't hold back the tears any longer. They came rushing down my face. I was so stressed out from being torn from my job, parents, learning about what I am, Trevor, and so many other things. I just wanted everything to go back to normal. I crouch down and hug my knees'. I felt safe in this position. At least it felt like it was all a bad dream that I was going to be waking up from soon. I could hear footsteps coming near me. I send out a small warning wave of electricity. "Shane...I am sorry. I shouldn't have tried to control you. I know you want to be equals...my wolf will only allow that if we are mates...if you're not...then it's a dominance fight until one of us dies. He still sees you as a mate. I want to make up for my wrongs. Regardless of what he feels. Though, I know he does too. He loves your wolf and I...I...I love you too." He sits down on the ground baffled by what he said. I peek my eyes out over my knees' at him. My wolf and I can sense he isn't lying. "How do you know you love me? It could be the bond you feel. Plus, it's not like you had these feelings before hand." He shakes his head, "No, I did. When I saw you for the first time. I thought you were off-putting, i'll admit. However, after getting to know you more...I saw your real beauty. Not because of the blue hair and amber eyes. Hot, by the way." He smirks to himself. I took that as his way to lighten the mood. "Your real beauty shined when you showed you cared for others. Jessica being a good example. Anyone would've attacked without a second thought, but you saw something nobody else would've. There's also the part of you that sees others as equals until proven otherwise." I make a slight smile at his comment. I hadn't noticed he'd been watching all of that. "Not to mention, how intelligent you are. You saved my life. That, I will be forever grateful for. All in all. You're amazing, Shane. It just took a slow Jack-Ass Alpha of a wolf to figure it out." I giggle at his comment and unfold myself. "I'll tell you what," I tilt my head slightly, "I'll rethink this whole mate thing. As long as you and your wolf swear, to see me as a equal and never lay your hands on me again. Also, treat my friends with respect." "I think that's something that won't be a problem. You're my luna. No task or request is hard to accept. Outside of you rejecting me. Which still hurts by the way." He looks at me with a sarcastic expression. "Alright, since you are doing more in my request...I will do ONE thing you really want." I hold up my finger to express my seriousness. He rubs his chin in thought. "I want you to lay next to me tonight. For one night, I want to hold you close to me." My face explodes with redness. I've never laid next to or even had sex with a boy before. I know that's not what he meant, but still. This was something foreign to me. "I guess, I have no right to refuse." "Nope." He comes over to me and hugs me from behind. He picks me up and he lays up against a wall with me in the middle between his legs. My head was laid up against his bare chest. It was smooth and definitely toned. His muscles were curved and sculpted to perfection. I take my mind off his body by shutting my eyes tight. He wraps his arms around me encasing me. I guess he felt I might run away. Probably would've, smart on his part. I chuckle slightly to myself.
