yes, ma'am". I smiled my way to her, she recessed and sewed my eyes to Darren who kept chatting with a few of his friends from the party, returning it to me with a question, "so tell me, who are you to my son?".

I pinned a weak smile, recalling that the same question was asked by her husband, but his was attached to a little suspicion of his, while hers was based on curiosity, and seeing that I had no relationship with her son other than being his assistant, I told her just that, but the Minions in her head, tell her otherwise, she wears a funny look on and walked back to the party, apparently if that wasn't enough, a lady walks up to me and weaved out a warning, she says, "look, I have been seeing you next to my man, or you better stay clear from him or else I'll make you pay!".

And with the fury in her eyes, she meant every word being said, and after telling me what she wanted, the lady veers her back and walked away locking her fist in anger.

I turned my back and saw her warmly hug Darren, he lifted his eyes and saw me, as I walked away, disappearing into the crowds.

(12:00pm)

The party finally came to an end, Darren and his family thanked everyone for attending the party and wished us a safe journey, I pulled up and bag walked over to my car, and drove home without even saying goodbye to Darren.

I got home ten minutes past twelve, I figured aunt would be at sleep, as I noticed the light of the living room switched off.

I veered a step forward to my room, when suddenly the light turned on, "hello my dear niece, you're late!".

I ran a startled look, decerning her there, I didn't expect she would be awake at this ungodly hour.

"Good evening auntie! Why are you awake?". I asked wearing a weak smile.

"And why are you late?" She answered back with a question, looming her eyes suspiciously at it.

I veered a step back trying to shy away from her gaze, rather she dragged me forcefully and pulled my ears, "why are you late?". She copies back her initial words to me and watched as I scream out for help.

"Ouch! Aunt, you're hurting me? I cried out rather she did not attempt to let me go.

"Tell me why are you late? If you don't I won't stop dragging you by your ears!". She giggled out her words to me, after issuing a response to me.

"Okay wait, I'll tell you, aunt, just let me go!". I answered back to her, luckily she listens and let go of my ears.

"Am all ears" she waits for my response to her.

"Look, aunt".

I told everything to her and mostly the proposal Darren had for me, aunt veers her back and quietly left her mind to ponder on what I just said, as she recouped back her eyes wearing a smile on.

"Guess what?" She says

"What aunt?" I answered back waiting as she retorts back to me, aunt says, "it isn't a bad idea to get married to Darren, it will give us an upper hand to finally get what will want very fast!".

A weird look draped around my face, I still didn't understand where she was driving out, aunt must have figured out that I didn't understand a word she just said, as she rephrases her words, explaining bit by bit.
