Chapter 43: Chapter 43

Emil and Emily walked with Emma towards her hostel.

"Emma. What do you think about staying in an apartment?" Emily asked thoughtfully.

"Which apartment? With you two?" Emma asked curiously and excitedly.

"Not really. Cousin brother Adam will be joining us next month. So I was thinking we could rent a new apartment. You and me. We could ask Zada too." Emily said with a thoughtful look on her face.

"It will be awesome. There will be no hostel warden to always glare at me. There will be no restrictions. We can order food even at midnight. Yesterday, I ordered a chocolate truffle brownie at night. I was craving for it as I saw it on an Instagram page. That evil warden didn't allow the delivery boy inside as it was past the gate closing time. I couldn't eat it. Can you believe it, Emily? She was behaving as if I was smuggling drugs. I simply had to go to bed without fulfilling my craving. Wait a minute. I will order now. She won't be able to stop me now, right." Emma said and took her phone to order the brownie.

Emil shook his head with a soft smile and Emily looked heavenwards praying for patience.

"Yes. It will arrive in twenty minutes. I will sit in front of that evil lady and eat. Let me see how she stops me today. I have even seen the making video, Emily. It's so drool worthy. You should-" Emma had started her ramblings again and before she could go further, Emily interrupted.

"Emma? What about the apartment? Are you ready for that?" Emily asked, effectively bringing Emma back to the topic.

"Of course. But momma might not agree." Emma said sulkily, remembering her strict mother.

"You leave that to me. I will talk to Aunt Gianna." Emily said, making Emma happy.

"Yay. You are the best." Emma said and hugged her cousin sister making Emily smile.

"Emily. You stay here. I will go get the motorcycle." Emil said and walked away to get it.

"So? Tell me how college life is going? All good?" Emily asked curiously.

"Damn good! Tonight we are going for dinner at Freddy bro’s home." Emma said happily.

"Who is Freddy bro?" Emily asked in confusion. This was the first time she was hearing that name.

"Liam Fredrick. Zada's boyfriend." Emma said without thinking.

"Zada has a boyfriend? Her brothers let her have a boyfriend?" Emily asked in surprise. She couldn’t imagine how Zahir and Zian let her have a boyfriend.

"Ooops. It is a secret. Don't tell anyone." Emma whispered.

"Wait a second. This Liam Fredrick was there at the cafe right? With the triplets?" Emily asked, trying to remember the face of the guy who was with them at the cafe.

"Yeah. He is bestfriends with Zahir and Zi - Zi.i" Emma said cheekily.

"Oh my! The guy is damn brave if he went ahead and tuned his best friends’ sister. That too such over protective brothers.." Emily was impressed by the above mentioned Freddy bro.

"Freddy bro didn't know that Zada is their sister. He only came to know on the day you came." Emma said with a casual shrug.

"Oh okay. Now tell me about this Zi - Zi of yours." Emily said in a teasing voice and Emma blushed.

"Zi - Zi is the best." Emma declared happily.

"I think I already heard that phrase quite a few times. Tell me something else about him. I don't remember much about him. We were together in kindergarten." Emily said.

"You only remember about Zahir? You always fight with him." Emma said cheekily.

"It's him who fights with me," Emily protested.

Before Emma could respond, Emil reached there. They bid goodbyes to Emma and left.

"Give me Emily's number." Liam asked, making Zada frown.

"Why do you need her number?" She asked, narrowing her eyes at him.

"I thought I would ask her out for a date." Liam said playfully, earning a glare in return.

"Come on Mirrie. I just want to invite her for dinner at home." Liam said with a cheeky smile.

"You only know her for two days. And you are already taking her home?" Zada asked angrily.

Liam rolled his eyes.

"I just need a distraction, Mirrie." Liam said, trying to put some sense into his possessive girlfriend.

"Distraction? How can Emily be a distraction for you?" She asked with hands on her hips.

"Oh God! Not for me. For your brother, Zahir. I don't want him to ask me what why when how and all sorts of questions if I so much as look at you. With Emily there, he would be busy fighting with her." Liam said making Zada laugh.

"You want to turn your home into a battlefield?" Zada asked.

"Well I prefer them being at each other's throat rather than having your brothers at mine." Liam said with a casual shrug of his shoulders.

"I didn't realise you are such a scaredy cat." Zada teased.

"We both know who the scaredy cat is. I would have happily let them know about our relationship earlier. It was you who stopped me. And about distracting Zahir. I want it to be you or me who tells them about us, rather than them finding out themselves." Liam said in a serious tone.

"Okay cool. I will text you her number. You could have just called Emil though." Zada pointed out.

"I could have. But Emily seems like a girl with ego problems. And Emil the sweet one. So I guess calling Emily would be better." Liam defended himself.

"Right! You are an expert in the girls' matter. I should have known." Zada taunted.

"Mirrie, I can't change my past. But I can promise you that there will be no other girl in my life in the future. It will be only you." Liam vowed and leaned forwards and gave a sweet peck on her lips making her blush.

"I love you, Liam Fredrick." Zada whispered, placing her head on her shoulder and hugging his arms.

"I love you more, Mirrie." Liam said as he dropped a kiss on top of her head.

"Okay. I think you should leave before someone spots you." Zada said and Liam stood up reluctantly.

"Okay. Will see you at home." Liam said and left for home, with the sole purpose of giving his mother a lecture on what to say and what not to say.

All he could pray was that the dinner would be over without the twins skinning him alive.

He suddenly had a vivid imagination of the boys hunting him down and giving him a painful death.

Liam shuddered slightly

"Liam Fredrick. You had the courage to fall in love? Why fear now? You will just have to cross them. There is no question of giving up Mirrie." He told himself, as he drove towards him home.
