In less than a fortnight, Arianna was running to the kingdom of Corthin again and this time with some sad news. She witness the death of Flynn who was given a public shameful execution and then she and to run away from his home which she was staying because it was seized by Alexa's father and not only did that happen, everybody got to learn of what prince Flynn did with Alexa's maid and how he was responsible for Jared's injury and then in anger they started blazing Flynn home and everything, leaving Arianna a destitute. The only place for her to go to was Corthin and with her last coin. She got a horse and travelled to Corthin.

"The person I was expecting was my son." Flynn father said as him and his queen came to the study when they were informed that someone from Asteria was waiting for them.

"A thousand apologies your majesty." Arianna bowed low and when the queen raised an eyebrow, she offered another bow for the queen.

"Well where is my son, is the king planning negotiations for him?" Flynn father asked and Arianna shook her head. Another reason she hated to be the bearer of news is that sometimes she would have to deliver bad news along with the good one and the people who were waiting for the news will not take it lightly with her when she delivers news which they did not like.

"I am so sorry your majesties but Prince Flynn was publicly executed about three days ago." Arianna stated.

The room was deathly still for a second before the queen let out a harsh laugh.

"I am sorry but I seem to have trouble understanding what you are trying to say. Are you saying that they killed my second child? My Flynn?" The queen asked and then when Arianna nodded, the queen started crying and shouting as she lamented the loss of her second child. The only twin that was alive after Kythia killed off one a couple of years back.

"They will pay. They will pay with their blood." The king vowed as he clenched his hand while his eyes went red like his years would soon fall.

"Mother, what is wrong?" The crown prince of Corthin asked as he came into the room and when he saw his parents face, his fell.

"Flynn?" He asked in a choked tone.

"Dead. Murdered in cold blood." The king stated. "All because of a woman." The king spat before he turned his face to Arianna. "You, on what grounds did they execute him?"

"Raping the royal heir of Asteria..." Arianne replied quietly.

"The bitch would have probably wanted it." The queen commented.

"What do we do now?" The crown prince asked.

"We kill the princess. We might have allowed the person who killed Fallon to get away with it all in the name of delayed gratification but Flynn case will not be like that, we would fight and turn their streets barren and their rivers to blood." the queen spat out in anger and then stormed from the room.

"Thank you for sharing the information with us." The king stated before he nodded at his son and walked out after his wife.

Arianna heart slammed hard in her chest as she realized what was going on. They never intended in letting her go and even as Flynn older brother advanced towards her ignoring her screams. She knew she had made the bad decision towards the last stage of her life. When Flynn had asked if her. She would have ran and stirred clear from the royals of Corthin but in the end, her life ended with their hands wrapped around her neck until dark spots danced on her gaze and then she was no more.

"Brother. It has been long." Ken greeted Jared as he clasped Jared in an embrace , exempting the shoulder which was still giving Jared a little problem.

"Too long." Jared responded as he closed his eyes, head resting against Ken own before he let go. "Annabelle?"

"At home with Kendrick, she is with another." Ken smiled as Jared eyes widened.

"A father of two." Jared laughed.

"Not yet but it will be soon, she is already becoming wide and getting into all kind of mischief, I think Annabelle only tries half of the thing she does when she is pregnant and I think they are aimed mainly to shortened my life." Ken complained but Jared shook his head as he clapped Ken on the shoulders. "I am very proud to you, my brother, finally a full family man" Jared teased as Ken narrowed his eyes at his friend.

"Laugh all you want but I do believe that very soon, it will be your turn." Ken responded gesturing to Alexa who was training with some warriors.

Jared smiled at he looked at his wife who was very much in her element, enjoying the match even though he knew that she was about to get cocky and that would be the reason why her opponent would win against her. "And I will face my time with pride when it eventually comes." Jared responded still staring at his wife.

Ken looked at his friend well then and noticed the little difference about this Jared, still the same face but a different person behind the face. This Jared smiled more and Ken knew what happened.

"Still think that love is disgusting?" Ken asked Jared who shook his head.

"Please, I never thought it was disgusting, I thought you and Annabelle were." Ken hit Jared head but still chuckled at Jared words.

"But at least, you are happy. That I am glad of." Ken added.

"Me too." Jared replied just as the warrior knocked his wife sword away and Alexa kicked the ground in anger. Jared still cheered along with everybody else because Alexa would always have his support even when she was not at her best.

"I am not understanding what you are trying to say." Alexa growled at Jared, fighting the urge to hit him and have him back in the sick ward where he would not be trying to control her actions with words that clearly does nothing but infuriated her all the more.

Jared sighed, he knew he was going to have a battle in his hands when he brought up the issue that Alexa should remain behind with the women. "Some people need to remain behind to protect the women and children..."

"Then have some people do it, my name is not some people and I do not want to be left behind while everybody else go and fight." Alexa snapped.

"Not everybody is going to fight Alexa, Mona is staying behind." Jared pointed out.

"Because it is her choice and you respected it. You just need to do the same in my case. I have made my choice now, you respect it." Alexa fired back while Ken leaned into his chair to watch the word exchange between Jared and his wife, already knowing before hand that Jared was going to lose this argument so fast that he would be left reeling.

"It is different in your case. You did not make the same choice." Jared returned.

"Your sister chose to fight and she is allowed, why is my case different?" Alexa asked.

"Because you will be a target for Corthin." Jared snapped at Alexa.

"You mean just like how you and prince Ken are? Come on Jared, you can think of other ways to keep me from going, I even think that I should be offended by these silly excuses that you are giving and if there is any other excuse that does not cross out you, Ken or Jasmine going, especially since people of less skill than me are going then you can inform me of it then and I would cross it out too because I am going to fight at the warfront and you cannot hold me back." Alexa ranted and then stormed out of the room.

Jared leaned back into his seat and turned to look at Ken who was silently laughing to himself. "What just happened?"

"Your wife just told you off in public and won. You were better off not having that fight with her in the first place." Ken replied.

"I just wanted to protect her. I do not know how I would be like if she is hurt because of the war and I was not able to protect her." Jared mumbled.

"And you should have started with that instead of trying to be overbearing." Ken answered before he tapped Jared shoulder. "I suggest that you stick close to your wife in battle that will help your mind and focus on the battle."

Jared frowned and just as he was about to reply, a shout went out and someone rushed into the room.

"Corthin army has been sighted in the horizon. What do we do?"

"We lead them to the forest and have a massacre." Jared answered.

"I will go and be with my army, good luck brother." Ken said as he left the room.

"Jasmine, please keep an eye on Alexa for me." Jared begged and Jasmine nodded before she spun in her heels and left the room, possible to find her sister in-law.

Today was the day in which they got to wipe out the scum that came in form of Corthin royals from the face of the Earth.

They were unprepared. Flynn father realized as he watched as his soldiers were being slaughtered, left and right by warriors which he did not know that Asteria had, not to mention the additional Army from Kythia which no one was aware that they had.

Asteria has been acting friendly with them for a while when they had already made up their minds that they were going to wat with Corthin and now, Corthin was dominated. There was no way in which Corthin could get theirself back ever again, not when it will be divided between the two kingdoms and Corthin army would die for nothing. At least he had drilled revenged into the head of his warriors and so he was certain that even if he was no longer in the war, his captain of guards or any member of his army would kill the bitch that was the reason why Flynn died.

The king grabbed his son's arms. "Time we make our escape." He spoke into his son ear and then the location where they were supposed to meet Flynn father disappeared from the thick of the battle and after a few moments the only child remaining to Corthin royal disappeared too and a little while later, a lonely carriage sped away from Asteria and into the docks where a ship was waiting there and after the three royal of Corthin had stowaway, escaping with their lives to fight another day.
