Alshane had taken the seat between Nearce and Kyhe, to signify he would be the one handling the contract. Mrs. Maniak didn’t want to show herself just yet for it would upset Jhonia.

She would not want to see Kyhe walk away from what she would be asking of him, so it would be best to lay low until the public side of the contracts were signed by both parties.

“Why is it like this thought?” Kaylia asked, referring to Nearce, but his eyes were stuck on Jhonia the whole time he heard not a word Kaylia spoke out.

Jhonia, who was walking around and doing the necessary things needed on their hand, she was now finished with and began looking for Kyhe who should be seated but was not there.

“Looking for me, my love?” His words startled her, she twirls around into his arms.

“Please, be careful and be sure not to hurt yourself. I have finished with the other stuff. So, can now come and take your seat next to me where you belong.”

Her face glowed sweetly in Nearce’s eyes, the veins in his neck became visible for anyone to see just how angry he was. However, Kyhe was enjoying the fact that Jhonia was now his and it’s all thanks to him. He playful made Jhonia blush occasionally to justify Nearce's loss.

“Why do you go and take your seat? I will be there shortly. Ah, my seat is on the opposite side from your ex-husband.” He said to her and as she proceeded to leave his side he stopped and said, making Jhonia turn to see them and Alshane between. Jhonia flush before she turned back to Kyhe.

“Oh, you’re purposeful sometimes.” Jhonia said to him with a smirk.

“Can you blame me? I got the universe most favoured by my side.” He asked her with a smirk which turned into a smile with his last words. Jhonia couldn’t help but giggled before she walked.

And Mrs. Maniak watches from the crowd as she hides herself to see how the woman she hears complain and sniffles at her to be ex-husband mistress being his secretary. Now, plays sweetly with her boss as if they’re lovers.

“Oh God, she did it. Just like that she impressed me in a way I did not expect. She is truly her mother’s daughter.” Mrs. Manaik calls on God with how she was impressed with Jhonia, her sister’s child.

Kyhe caught a glance of her in the hide. He came to see that Jhonia was the one her eyes locked on, beaming with joy like a mother watching her child from afar. Proud but afraid to approach.

“If she wanted to be close to her like her son, she shouldn’t have done what she did.” He spoke before leaving the eyes of everyone.

“Hey.” Kyhe, who was standing on the stairs in a restricted area, turned around to Jae standing there as if he was waiting for him.

“How did everything go?” Kyhe asked as he took out a cigar and lit it.

“Because of Jhonia you didn’t quit but changed theme. Ha, it is as I thought. But boy you’re in for trouble.” Jae's sentence made him hesitant from pulling on the cigar. His eyes glared down at Jae who handed him a pile of files.

He took immediate action and as he went through the papers, suddenly he stopped and stared as if he could not see. He glances up at Jae who gave him a nod.

“Yes, she’s the missing heir. Actually. It was to be her mother, but she will be unable to take over, so her first daughter has to.” Jae explained that tears slowly filled his eyes.

Jhonia who had come to seek Kyhe for it time to get started. Meet his teared filled eyes. She wonders what it the matter but as she took another step Kyhe began walking down, slapping the pile of files on Jae’s chest.

He walked past Jhonia as if she was someone who he no longer knew, her world seemed to move slowly as he walked her by.

“kyhe” she called but he left her behind.

“Hey, give him some time. He just had a shock and so how it shut him down as you saw for yourself he too had tears in his eyes.” Jhonia listened to Jae speak. She took a deep breath and met his eyes.

“You know, I know, you know Kyhe long before me. A month maybe or a year. So, please answer me as honestly as you can. Does this shock-”

“Yes.” He responded to her, without finishing the sentence to her question.

“I was not finished.” She told him, and he nodded.

“I know but you know as much as I, that Kyhe has only fall madly in love with two person and they happen to be-”

“Me…Yes, I’m aware. Is it bad?” She asked him.

Jae thought whatever he and Jhonia will speak about now Kyhe should also hear it. He ought to record their conversation but called Kyhe instead. Time passed on as they stood in silence while Kyhe wanted to know why Jae was calling him so he decided to go back to the area.

“Yes, it is bad. You can walk away from him. That much I know he fears.”

Jhonia was sad hearing his response for sure she thought something was now wrong with her, but in that instant, she let out a laugh. Kyhe had arrived and began to listen.

“Does it make him in any kind of way feel like he would lose me?” She asked with a glare demanding the truth.

“What if I saw you’re a lost princess from another country?” He asked her.

“Did he ask you to look into me because he saw how I reacted to that woman I thought was my mother?” Jhonia wanted to know if it was Kyhe doing even when she believed he would not do so.

“You are not making sense.” Jae claims.

“And you can’t or rather you should never answer a question with one.” She said to him as her eyes showed she was now upset.

“Yes, because they came looking for you. No, he did not. And your mother is alive and I have the DNA test to show.”

Her eyes show how her world just shattered into pieces. She dropped herself to the ground. Kyhe proceeded to go to her but stopped when he heard her speak.

“Why the heavens would you go looking? Why on earth would you… Do that to me?” She questioned him. Kyhe, who felt her questions were for him, but Jae knew what Jhonia was asking.

“I didn’t mean t-”

“You did. You did, else you would have not done it. I just want to be happy. Can I just be happy?”

Kyhe glared at Jae questioningly because he is now confused about what is taking place between them. Jhonia words and questions and Jae’s silence made him wonder what he does not know.

“I had to. Jhoni-ni, look at me… That Alshane that you and Kyhe seem to hold close… I just wonder what and for why was he glued to you, you’re naturally adorable but he was somewhat different when it comes to you. I just wanted to know what he wasn’t telling.”

Jae said before asking for her attention. He goes on to speak of Alshane and how they seem to care for him and all but to him something about Alshane wasn’t right and he needed to be sure. Jhonia that he was just being jealous for thinking they would replace him. She just stayed and stared at him.

“I… Must go back out there and be at his side, even after you now have him thinking there is a possibility of me going off to seek the rich side of my family. Jae, that was something my mother ran off from. She had her reason, may her reason be the same reason, I won’t go. I will be there for him because he was there for me.”

She said as she stood and brushed herself. Jae, who was standing right in front of her, was now surprised because she was back to her confidence and nothing bothered me. Self! As she spoke to him, he too wonders why he showed Kyhe who the Maniak are to Jhonia, even if Jhonia knoweth not who they are to her. She made herself clear to Jae and turned around to see Kyhe.

“I would like to hear about it, but not now. We have a cooperation to secure.” Jhonia said, meeting Kyhe’s eyes. She then turned to Jae and left with a smile on her face.
