Chapter 173: Chapter 173

The following afternoon. Jhonia was inside her own apartment sleeping in her bed, while Mrs. Pinnock was doing laundry for her, and cooking. Mrs. Pinnock knew just how tired she was, but she was happy that she was asleep. After some time, she begins searching through Jhonia’s things and soon finds what she seeks.

An old looking notebook from a box of other books inside Jhonia’s closet. She opened the book and saw what she was not expecting. She flipped through some of the pages in shock. She sat on her legs and soon began to tear up. She returned the book and placed back the box, she continued to do what she was doing.

Time passed and Jhonia woke up, but she was alone in the bed. She sat up after a minute and then got up. She went to the bathroom and cleaned up and came out, but she heard no sound of Mrs. Pinnock and thought she must be in the kitchen. Jhonia spread her bed and decided to take a shower, after taking her shower she got dressed and came out looking for Mrs. Pinnock but did not see her.

“Ms. Jhonia, I know you are inside, please open the door.” Orean voice said after knocking for some time, instead of opening the door Jhonia went to get her phone. She found that it was dead and decided to put it on charge and then went to open the door.

“Can I come in?” Orean asked, looking at her. She then stepped aside and let him in.

“Mrs. Pinnock was here, I'm sure of it. But when I woke up, she was gone.” She said to him with surety, then said in a softer tone of voice.

“I know and she is not gone. She is at your house, I'm not sure what happened but she showed up in tears. And I have known her for years. The only time she cried like that was when she lost her mother, I know because I was the one who told her about the passing. However, when I inquired for answers, she told me that from now on I should be around you twenty-four seven, and if Nearce is seen close by I'm permitted to shoot him in defense of protecting you. So, I came here hoping to find answers from you.” Orean said to her, telling how he knows of her tears and so he told her what he witnessed for the first time in a long time, and that he was ordered to be her bodyguard. In other words, Nearce is to be shot down whether or not he is threatening towards her, a question waves on her mind but with Orean explanation he too knows little to nothing.

“Nearce, might go to jail for a company name Baco. It’s not registered, and it is scamming a lot of people. Sky almost fell victim for it, and you know how that went. But Orean, he is pulling down his friends with him, and something tells me that if i don’t out with him i’ll go down with him or for him without knowing what for nor why.” Jhonia went over to the couch and sat down. She then said to Orean reminding him of what almost happened to Sky if not for her, but now it’s gone bad because Nearce is turning his scam towards his friends. Things are not looking up for her as his wife, she fears she will go down with him or for him because of Baco. Orean was getting ready to sit when her door was knocked on angrily.

“I will get it.” Orean said walking towards the door.

“It’s not Nearce.” Jhonia said, she seemed so sure about who it was. Soon after the password to the lock she put on the door was being punched in, Orean flinched and soon afterwards the door was open.

“You are little. How dare you go back to the worm that somehow manages to be above dirt.” Jae said he changed his tone saying to her calling Nearce a worm living about dirt.

“Tell me it’s not true.” Jae added to her waiting for her to look at him.

“I spent the night with Kyhe. We were interrupted by the girls but still slept together. Nearce made that post without my knowledge.” She said to him he looked at Orean with surprise but so was Orean, both surprised to hear her words. She then added a post about them getting back together on his own.

“That disgusting thing of a human being, how dare he act like he is a good apple when on the inside he is completely rotten. How dare they allow him to live among us, the gods and their balancing. Jhonia, i got some news that i know you are not ready to hear about and most importantly i don’t wish to give you hope without being sure, so i’m going to go away for a week and i want you to be good until i return okay, i will tell you all about it then.” He said to her, holding her hand into his with a faint smile, she paid it no mind because she needs to put her and Nearce apart and for real and in public eyes this time. Jae shared with her that he has news, but she won’t be hearing because he wishes not to give her false hope, he then told her he is going away for a week, and she must be good.

“As if I'm a bad person who makes trouble all the time.” She said to him, but Jae has yet to notice that his little sissy will not glance up at him.

“I know but trouble sometimes finds you.” He said to her, rubbing the back of her hand.

“And that is why I'm here. I will be protecting her on guard around the clock unless you know who is here.” Orean said to Jae butting in telling he will be there to protect her unless Kyhe is there, he will not back down.

“Well, that is good to hear. And thank you for always looking out for her.” Jae said to Orean, he then thanked him for being there for Jhonia.

“You need not to thank me, my wife would take my head if anything were to happen to her, not to mention the girls, Mr. Knight and his family and the one who ordered me here, i don’t have enough life to die that much time.” Orean said to him, explaining how things would turn out for him, and made Jhonia chuckle. She turned looking at Orean with a smile.

“That’s good to know. But most importantly Orean, you wouldn’t forgive yourself.” Jhonia said to him, and he smiled shyly at her. Suddenly Jae's phone rings and he takes it with a signal as he gets up.

“Hello.” He answered the phone making his way to the kitchen.

“Where are you? Never mind that, I have been calling Jhonia but she won’t pick up. I’m headed- “

“I am with her as we speak. You and I need to talk about something and that Alshane guy. I found out something strange about him.” Jae cut him and said to him, he told him they need to speak and that something about Alshane he has found out.

“I’m on my way there. Is she okay?” He said to him then asked him if she was okay.

“She looks at it from the outside, but she is worried, and I don't know what to do.” He responded to him with his explanation and what he sees which is what she allowed him to see but he knows not what to do.

“Nearce is doing some fuck up shit and she might go down with him if its come’s to that point. Please talk to her, will you question her, as a brother figure.” Kyhe said to him, and his eyes popped out as he looked out from the kitchen at Jhonia, suddenly running her fingers through her hair with a loud sign. Kyhe added words that were dimmed in sounds to Jae’s ears.
