Chapter 172: Chapter 172

“What is she doing here?” Kyhe asked Jhonia in a lower tone of voice, Jhonia shrugged her shoulders answering him. Jhonia then closed the door and together they went back to the room, unfortunately this room was different from Jhonia’s. There was no sofa, hall area, kitchen, nor chairs, just the bed, a bedside table, a television attached to the wall with a stand beneath it. However, it had space, but it was not an apartment catch.

“We three will sleep together, the bed is big enough. And let me get to the point of why I'm here... I went home, and a young lady was outside in Nearce’s car. I went to her because the door was open.”

Flashback!

“So, Jhonia found out about the reason he was acting nice?” Mrs. Pinnock asked, looking at Orean, she was seated in the living room of the house she bought Jhonia.

“Yes, and he was not happy about it after she gave him a call.” Orean responded to her and explained, she stood to her feet immediately.

“I should get going then, also make sure you drive her to work from now on. Don’t ever let her walk home, do you understand?” She said walking over to the single couch picking up her stuff to leave, she added telling him to protect Jhonia at all costs from Nearce in other words and asked him if he understood her.

“Wait, Mrs. Pinnock” She walked out and left the house, Orean words were unheard. He went after but she was getting into her car.

“Should I stop her and tell her or let her go?” Orean questioned and even, so he let her go, he went back to the room of his wife and child. Mrs. Pinnock on the other hand arrived home after some time. When her car drove inside the residence, she noticed a figure inside Nearce’s car.

“Dim the lights.” She told her driver, and he did exactly that. He slowly drove the car to its parking rage and parked the car. Mrs. Pinnock stepped out from the car and walked over to Nearce's car where she saw the woman. She knocked on the car window and the female jumped in fright.

“Oh my god. I thought it was Nearce. How can I help you?” She said in shock along with her thoughts of who she thought it was, she then asked Mrs. Pinnock.

“I’m Nearce’s mother, unfortunately. And you are?” Mrs. Pinnock said to her and asked her, immediately Kaylia stepped out of the car.

“Good night, ma’am. My name is Kaylia and I'm his new Secretary.” She said goodnight, addressed Mrs. Pinnock as ma’am and introduced herself as Nearce secretary.

“Oh, I see. But why are you, and outside in his car? For a secretary you have access to his personal car!?” Mrs. Pinnock said and then asked her, before she started in an asking way.

“Ah, well. You see we had work to finish, and he wanted to be at home, he said; he had plans with his wife. However, she didn’t show, and he got mad about it, and I ended up staying longer than I should have but then I told him about a message from one he saved as Jhonia. At first, he was smiling, and I went to get him something to drink and the next thing I knew was that he was mashing things and yelling for Jhonia, i can’t say for sure but whatever it is? But it was not good.” She hesitated to speak but decided to. She went into details on how Nearce brought her there to finish office work, he wanted to be at home because he had plans with his wife. However, his wife did not come, and he was upset about it, and she stayed away from him and ended up staying when she shouldn’t have. But then she did something stupid and Nearce was okay one minute and the next he was enraged and smashing things badly while yelling for Jhonia. She then asked whatever it was that he watched but it couldn't have been good.

“I see. Go home then or not. I will go and take a look for myself.” Mrs. Pinnock said to her, turning her body and face to face at the house entrance. She told Kaylia she could go or not however, she’s going to look at things for herself. She leaves her there and walks towards the house, after entering.

She went upstairs and walked past Jhonia’s and her room, she stopped at Nearce’s door. She hesitated for a few seconds then she opened the door, the huge window space was broken down completely. She entered further into the room and began looking around.

“Found it.” She said to herself after seeing Nearce's phone, she walked back to the door and picked it up. She heard the shower turned on, she looked at the phone and it was a mess but still working. She smiled at the thought as she began to top the screen until the video began to play. She gasped then smirked, it was amusing for her.

“Oh, baby you’re dangerous.” Mrs. Pinnock said with a smile. She took a look around and smiled, she felt at ease with all that she saw.

“Mom, when did you get here?” Nearce, who came out from the bathroom and saw his mother, asked her.

“Oh, Me. Well, I just did.” She said to him, she kept looking around.

“I picked your phone. It’s a fact, yet still it’s much better than in here, also your secretary is outside in your car. You must have scared her but not enough for her to leave you, regular people wouldn’t have gone to your car of all places.” Mrs. Pinnock said to him, showing him his phone in her hand. She then added that it’s better compared to his room and told him his secretary is still around and what most people would have not done.

“Jhonia... She- She sent me a video.” He said her name and stopped but then he then seemed unable to speak, he pulled himself together and said,

“Yes, I'm aware and have watched it. Compared to the pain of multiple things you did to her, countless times beneath and on top of another woman, also, taking your mistress shopping when you could not find time for her. This small video is nothing compared to what you have done to Jhonia.” His mother answered him, he was shocked. Then she explained to him what Jhonia did, was nothing compared to all that he did to her, in her own words. Nearce couldn’t believe the woman who stood by him, protected him, took his side, watched over him, guided him upon till that moment turned against him. She said that to him reminding him of his wrong he stood in regrets and shame.

“I ended up here because I didn't want to go back to that of yours, Jhonia. My dear, I should have noticed it long ago but seeing you treat him the way you did and the way you acted from time to time. I should know but believing you two are getting closer after a fight is what blinded me from the bitter truth, for that i want to ask you to forgive me.” Mrs. Pinnock said to them, explain how she should have seen through their act but her beliefs for them being in love blinded her and because of that she wished for Jhonia to forgive her.

“It’s okay, you did nothing wrong. Nothing is wrong with a mother for wanting the best for her son.” Jhonia said to her with a smile, she then said nothing is wrong with a mother who wants the best for her son.

“But that is what made him the way he is, he never had to earn anything, it was always given to him. I should have tried to raise him better.” Mrs. Pinnock said to her, reminding Jhonia of similar words she Jhonia, once used and said she should have done better as a mother.

“It’s not your fault, honestly. My mother treated me like I was the only thing in her life, anything i wanted, i got but i didn’t turn out like him. So, what I'm trying to say is that parents are never really at fault for their children’s future behavior but the child who took things for granted.” Kyhe decided to speak and told her it was not her fault, he told her about how his mother treated him, but he didn’t turn out like Nearce, so she shouldn’t blame herself in other words. It’s just that Nearce took things for granted.

“With all that, you two do know that I will be sleeping between you, right?” She said to them, asking and they both looked at her in surprise.

“Well, then. Ah, Jhonia you should rest, you have plans... I heard it from the girls.” Mrs. Pinnoack stood from the end of the bed saying as she removed her coat, she said taking a moment before she faces Jhonia and Kyhe with a smile and told them.
