Chapter 106: Chapter 106
Evans POV.
“Did you see her face?, I'm sorry to say this but she was beyond shocked she really had not expected we would both stand on our decision that much.” ciara chirped on happily, I didn't know what was the best at the moment.
Seeing how happy and fulfilled she was or, seeing how she finally got into a fight with my mom and won, although I knew it was not the best decision I could have made, I could have just done something else, something better but I had not, I pushed toward with something so senseless, either ways I felt way more achieved than I should have been.
“easy love, I think my little pal here is hungry, feed him now will you?.” I asked and tapped her slowly on the shoulder, I watched as she cheered on happily remaining with smiles while she made way into the kitchen, she passed Alfred into my hands and he cooed happily while playing around with my fingers.
Ciara on the other hand kept talking happily about everything, while I remained fixed to the spot, my eyes placed on her while I admired her beauty I knew she was proud of me, for the fact that I supported her not withstanding the whole thing and twist on events.
I felt bad for my mother, she had been nice enough to me, but she was not taking it and I knew I would support every wish and will of hers, but I could not push it, getting married to ciara is a new chapter in my life, one that no longer included her anymore, it was just about time that she cooled down a bit.
“What's with that look on your face? I know you've been a momma's boy but then again, I am proud of you… you know that right?.” she asked easing up to me and I nodded, I stared down at the little fella in my hands, he was everything to me at the moment, my new life, my son, this was my family now, for my mother I would tender an apology, but I was standing still with my wife.
“ciara?.” I called out as she walked toward me and took the baby in her hands. I could not tell which it was that she needed to hear but lines of worry formed on my face as she proceeded towards the couch.
“here little guy… my man.” she spoke teasingly as she fed Alfred from a bottle.
“about there..” I asked, trailing off at the end of my words seating right next to her, we were in a good position at the moment things were good and was certain getting knocked up into more trouble or crossing lanes with her was what I needed.
“about what?.” she asked curiously.
“I'm not so sure… I mean you were just pissed right?.” I asked slowly and she shot up a gaze at me.
“pissed at what? Evans speaks up, seriously what's with the freaking out, you scared of me now?.” she asked teasingly.
“it's just.. I know my mum may be a little bit of a pushover but she would respect your words, especially now that we've let her know our minds, but we are still pushing forth with the wedding right? Your way of course?.” I asked, cautiously and slowly as the words rolled off my lips.
“I don't know evans, I wanted a wedding, something so little, something peaceful but your family, there is nothing like little, can't we just have our peace? Without anything? Heck the press published news about me being your baby mam.before anything else, everyone knows we are together. What's the use in spending excess money, calling strangers all over? Is that really what you want?.” she asked and I drew a long sigh,
There she went about , saying things that never really mattered to her.
Why was she always so worried about me? I could not get it, when I stared down at her I saw nothing other than perfection, an angel sent into my life, the only thing that served as a gravity to me.
“common, let's go somewhere.” I responded to her words as she placed down the bottle of food from Alfred into the table, he looked full, judging from the drunken smiles on his face.
“where to.. What's with the moving all of a sudden?.” she questioned.
“no.. Let's head on out somewhere, we would have Alfred dropped off with flora okay?.” I questioned her again and a smile crawled up to the side of her cheeks.
“what's up with you, acting so mysterious and all now?.” she asked but I only smiled and picked the keys as we both headed out the door.
“Commonly say something, I'm getting worked up now you know.what is it that you are up to.. Common, just tell me already.” she pleaded but I said nothing, I ignited the engine to the car and she hopped in, soon after we both parked out to flora house.
Alfred had begun dozing, he was full and hardly stayed up late, he was one of the most peaceful children I've seen and he took after me my best guess, unlike his always energetic and vibrant mother who had always been restless.
“I'm guessing we are all set, Alfred had fallen asleep already and I told flora we would be picking him up soon, anyway I'm a little brother though, just tell me, I don't know where we are headed and I need rest you know…”
I left into her, kissed her moist lips slowly and passionately before pulling away from her, a blush settled in on her face as her breath got pitched up.
A smile settled easily into my face as I recalled how we both met and how things had changed and timed passed between us, I was lucky to have her within me, she just didn't know it yet and maybe I had been taking the wrong approach all along, it was about time I spoiled her rotten, she needed to know what she was truly worth to me.
“lets go on, it's a surprise.”
