Chapter 103: Chapter 103
“yes.” I answered as I adjusted my arms.
“then we should not be doing all of this? Now tell me, he grows and asks for our wedding pictures and the likes then what?, or asks about our story and we tell him we bailed on our wedding ceremony because we could not understand each other and communicate our worries fluently?.” he asked.
I felt a pang of guilt as it struck me almost immediately having heard as he spoke, I had not thought in that dimension but I knew immediately as soon as he spoke what it was that he meant.
“Well it's your fault and you have to admit it, was I not vocal enough? “ I asked and he said nothing, he held on to his breath and pulled closer to me, a light peck on my forehead.
“I'm sorry love. I really am sorry, I should have understood you and everything that you meant, I should have communicated my worries well with you, I just didn't think it was so much of a big deal, I always do whatever my mother asks of me you know that by now, I always feel I debated to her as she gave up a whole lot while training me up to be this man that I am.”
He stood in his words and with a smile on his face, he reached for the strands of my hair which fell off as bangs in the sides and tucked them gently behind my ears.
“I know you may not see to understand me/, but when it got down to our wedding plans and the likes I did all I could and listened to her words because I thought she knew better.” he admitted and lines of confusion formed on my head, the words he spoke only three me the more off balance.
“I don't know, how about we start off from here?, you check it yourself all I wanted was the best for you and I didn't want time to pass by, when we grow a little older then you get regrets and begin to wish that you could have done something more fancy, you are my fiance, you deserve the best ciara and all that I did, I did for us.”
My heart melted upon hearing that part of his apology had a streak of tears gliding down from my cheeks, that was all I wanted to hear, a genuine heartfelt apology, not the likes of running from door to door.
He leaned in for a kiss and I placed my index finger over his lips.
“this is not our home you know.” I reminded him and he nodded , pulled away with a grin and he related his greedy eyes upon me.
“common, will you come home with me now?.” he asked and I nodded in joy with a smile plastered to my face.
“luis.” I called out and the door creaked as a sign of the door being opened as his footsteps approached us.
“I'm leaving now, and thank you for having me in.” I answered as he pulled me into a hug and pulled away almost immediately, best guess it was because of evans.
“okay, thank you for having her but should have just turned her right out and back home as soon as she got here.'' Evans complained, when I was still bitter of the fact that I had left home but I never knew him to be those that were so jealous and petty.
“bye ciara, kiss Alfred goodbye for me will you?” he asked and totally ignored evans words which I understood, Evan scoffed as we both made our way out the door.
“I will.” I responds to luis who's last sight was he looking somewhat sad about it, was it about me leaving, or the part where I had explained to him that I was not getting married and had it all sorted out in a matter of sys, or perhaps it could be that he felt somewhat lonely , but all that had happened I was still thankful for him.
“Really, luis? His place of all places?." Evans asked as he settled into the car and I passed him a knowing look before nodding slowly.
“your choice though.” he added in and ignited the engine of the car while I tapped against his shoulder playfully.
“stop being a jealous asshole.” I teased and he stared at me when he turned the wheels.
“me, jealous? Of what or who? Him? Luis?” he asked playfully as a call settled into his phone..
“its mother.” he spoke, turned to me, I nodded as he asked the car by a side and picked up the call.
“bring up your ass for dinner this instant, both you and your fiance… there's a family dinner and you had better be here.” she ended the call before evans got a chance to talk, he looked at me, seeming confused..
“it's okay, well not…”
“Let's go, it's about time I cleared off some boundaries either way.” I added in, cutting into Evan's words.
