Chapter 20: Chapter 20

"Speak," I said. I want to hear his explanation which he didn't give me before. I know he wants to be an Alpha and that makes him reject me but I want him to apologize and move on.

"Wen I-I----"

He moves and pulled me closer to him. I can see Mark moving toward us but signal him to stop. I push Arthur away and slap him in the face. Thankfully we are out of the prying eyes of the pack.

"What's wrong with you? I thought you want to talk?"

"I just need to be near you."

"That's not gonna happen, Arthur. My mate will kill you if you try to do that again."

"I'm your mate too."

"WAS my mate, Arthur. You rejected me and I accepted it already."

"I know but I can't stop thinking about you these past few years. It's different without you." He admitted. If he told me that a year ago or before I met Mark, maybe I will feel something but he's too late. I'm happy with Mark now.

"Arthur doesn't do this. We already have our own mate. Don't ruin it."

"I still want you. Go back with me."

"You're crazy." I think this conversation will not go any further.

"I'm sorry that I rejected you to be the pack's Alpha. I was blinded by power. Seeing you now makes me realize that you're more important."

"Haha haha." I laughed hard at what he said. "D-Do y-you think I will just go back to you?" I can't stop myself from laughing.

"Please forgive me. I will find a way to break our bond to our mates now."

"Stop it, Arthur. Don't ruin the chance I'm given you to talk to me."

"D*mn it Wendy, I never thought that we will actually like this. You left all of the sudden and then when I see you again, you are with a new mate." Arthur keeps arguing.

I look in Marks' direction. He probably wants to kill Arthur now. He can hear him but respected me and did not interfere.

I can't take this anymore. I'm beginning to feel irritated.

"You should go back to your mate. Mark is waiting for me. You just wasted my time here." I was about to leave but Arthur grabbed my hand. Mark moves like the wind and pushes Arthur away from me.

Everyone heard the loud crash where Arthur flies.

"Don't you dare try to touch my mate again? I don't care if you're an Alpha of the allied pack. I will kill you." Mark warned him. I can feel the power radiating from his body and I can't stop my wolf to be excited.

'What the hell Lucy?!'

'I can't help him. He's too powerful and it excites me.'

'Stop it right now. It's embarrassing.'

Mark looks in my direction. He can sense my excitement, it darkens his eyes.

"D*mn it. How dare you attack me." Arthur said as he gets back to his feet.

"Arthur stop. Don't make things worst here." I said.

"What's happening here?"Claire asked as she arrived at the scene.

"Luna Claire, I think you and Alpha Arthur should leave now. Mark is not pleased with Arthur's action towards me." I explained.

"How dare are you kicking us out? is it your way of revenge after my mate rejected you?" Claire said.

I forgot how blinded this woman is. She wants my mate even before they are declared to be a choice mate to one another.

I forgot that everyone in the pack is now listening to us.

"Luna Claire, I do respect your position but do not embarrass me in front of my pack."

"You're not yet claimed. You're not yet a Luna." She said looking at my neck.

"If you do not stop there I will throw you out of this pack and remove you from our allied pack," Mark said. I feel like he's declaring war.

"This pack acts barbaric. Arthur let's go. I don't want to waste my time here anymore. Starting today, we are no longer in treaty with Wolf Fang pack." Claire said without thinking about it. It can cause Full-moon pack chaos.

"Luna Claire, you should reconsider your decision. It will not be beneficial for the Fullmoon pack." I said. Trying to make her understand the situation.

"Who are you to tell me what to do. It is decided. I will no longer be in alliance with this barbaric wolf."

It tickles my patience. I grab her hand and look straight into her eyes. If we were in the Fullmoon pack, I will not dare to answer back, but we are now in Wolf Fang and my mate will not be happy seeing how I was mistreated by my previous Luna. I don't want to look weak in front of his people. Angel is right, I should fight back.

"Do not belittle my pack, Luna Claire. This pack gives you protection for a very long time. If you wish to withdraw our alliance then fine but do not disrespect the wolf hereafter they helped your pack."

Claire was surprised by my actions and words.

"You will pay for this," Claire said.

"No, I'm not. You're the one who will pay for your harsh words toward my pack if you don't stop humiliating us. I will kill you myself if needed." Lucy's power engulfs me. Gives me the hint that she's ready to attack any minute.

"Claire it's enough. Let's go now." Arthur said. He looks at me like he will say something but refused to do it when Mark went on my side.

I saw some of the pack smiles at me because I defended them while Ysabelle was sending daggers my way.

I don't want to mind her. I want to rest now.

It seems that Mark reads my mind, he grabs my arm and we went inside the packhouse. I almost shout when he started to carry me.

"Put me down, Mark! It's embarrassing." I said.

"It's not going to happen. I can't bear to hear them saying that you're not yet the Luna of my pack. I will claim you now."

I shouted as he put me down and pins me against the closed door.

"You're going to be fully mine now," Mark whispers to my ears and it sends chills to my core.
