Chapter 19: Chapter 19

We caught Mark and Gabriel arguing just because of the food. Mark wants Gabriel to increase the contents of the plate that he will give to Angel while Gabriel doesn't want to because Angel doesn't eat that much.

If Mark and I were new and didn’t know about Angel, I might be upset with him because he cares so much about her, but since I've seen and experienced how caring Angel is, I understand him.

"Look at these two men, they act like children. When will you two grow up?" Angel said.

"It's because of Mark. He kept telling me what to do. Why doesn’t he bother himself with his own mate?”

"I'm just saying that you took less food. Add more to her plate and stop complaining." Mark said.

I would have said something but I felt someone holding me. Turning around I saw Allie frowning.

He's with Kayden but he’s not talking. He pretends to be careless to avoid getting Allie mad. It was obvious in his eyes that he wanted to say hello to Angel but he didn't want to hurt Allie.

"Allie, why are you frowning? You might get old sooner than that." I said to lighten her mood.

"You're not funny. Why are you always attached to that woman? Are you best friends now?" Her tone is obviously sullen.

"Not like that Allie. Soon Angel will be helping me with training and she's important to Mark. She's like his sister that I need to get to know with." I explained.

"If I know, she's just flirting with Alpha Mark. She's even flirting with my mate."

I knew Allie was pregnant but she was wrong. She was blinded by jealousy.

I felt Angel look our way and she was staring at Allie intently. She came over to us and hugged Kayden.

"Kayden, how are you? It's been a long time buddy." Angel greeted.

"A-Angel, it's been a long time. I'm good." Kayden looked at Allie who was almost blushing with anger. "This is my mate, Allie," Kayden said as he introduce his mate to Angel.

"Hi, Allie. Nice to meet you." Angel said with an emotionless tone. She probably heard what Allie said.

"Keep your hands to yourself, Luna Angel. I don't want you lurking around my mate." Allie said.

"Allie!!" Disbelief displays on my face. I didn’t expect her to answer Angel like that.

“You should watch your tongue little one. I'm not that kind of woman. Kayden and I are only friends. You're his mate now. You should trust him more. Especially with people who are already part of his life. "Angel said.

"I don't care whatever you're talking about. Just go to your mate and stay there. Stop being a b ** tch in front of my mate."

"Allie!" Both Kayden and I shouted at the same time.

Gabriel and Mark stops arguing and went to the commotion near them. Mark is at Angel's right while Gabriel's on the left.

Angel started to release her powers and it suffocates me. Mark hurriedly covered me with his own power and Gabriel tried to calm Angel.

"Angel calm down. Allie is just like that. Please understand." Kayden tried to protect her mate from Angel's uprising fury.

"Your mate should know better than to disrespect a Luna. Her bloodline might be from Beta's but I'm still the legendary wolf and Slade doesn't like to be humiliated like this. Know your place pup. I only tolerate you because of Kayden. If we weren't just friends, you would probably be dead by now. "

"Are you scaring me?"

"Angel calm down. People around us are starting to faint because of your power." Gabriel said.

That seems to help the situation. Angel slowly withdraws her murderous aura.

"You're lucky that I'm a changed woman now. You should focus on your health especially when you're pregnant."

Kayden was obviously shocked by the news. He didn't know that Allie’s pregnancy.

"My mate is pregnant?" Kayden asked.

"You do not know?" Angel asked.

"No," Kayden said. He feels disappointed in himself because he doesn't have any idea about Allie's pregnancy.

Allie seems to feel his mate's emotions and feel bad about it.

"I-I'm sorry Kayden, I wasn't able to tell it you it early. I-I ------"

"Is that why you showered our room with perfume? You don't want me to know about your pregnancy?" Kayden sounds hurt.

"It's not like that, wait Kayden!" Allie followed Kayden when he left us without saying anything.

"Your temper is getting out of hand Angel. You could make everyone kneel because of the power you release a while ago." Mark said.

"Slade was angry. You know my wolf. She didn't want other people to disrespect her. I was trying to push her back. If I hadn't stopped her, Allie and her child would probably be gone now."

"Let's go home now Angel. Let's talk to Mark some other time." Gabriel said.

Angel agreed with him.

"By the way Mark, I'll be back here from time to time."

"Why?" Gabriel asked.

"Yes, why?" Mark asked too.

"I'll train Wendy starting tomorrow." She said before she pulled his husband away and vanished in front of us.

She can freaking teleport!

"I'm surprised that you two got along. It's not easy to get Angel's heart."

"I was surprised too."

"But why would she train you? Why not me?" Mark questioned me.

"She's a female warrior. It's better for her to teach me than you; moreover, you have a lot of things to do in the pack. Teaching me will cause you a lot of trouble.” I explained.

“You know I can always make time for you. Especially now that everyone knows I have a mate to take care of. "

I blush at his bluntness. I know what he's up to and I swear I'm ready for that now.

"Then why not now?"

"We can ditch this party and go straight to our room."

"I like that."

But before we could leave, Arthur blocked our way.

I forgot he’s here.

“Can I speak with you, Luna Wendy?” Arthur asked.

I can feel Mark tense and block me from him.

“What do you want from my mate?” Mark asked. He sounds different. He is using his Alpha tone to show his dominance.

“I mean no harm Alpha Mark. I just want to talk to her for a moment.” Arthur insisted.

I put my hand on Mark’s shoulder. “It’s okay. Let me speak to him. We need proper closure too.” I said.

“I’ll be near, do it fast.” He said after claiming my lips then leave us.

“Speak,” I said.
