I woke up early because I could barely sleep last night. I'm nervous about what will happen today. It's my birthday and at the same time, Mark will tell the pack that I'm his mate.

Many will attend this celebration and I am nervous that they might not accept me as Luna of this pack because my own mate rejected me. They might think I had a flaw so he was able to leave me.

“Cheer up Luna,” Allie said.

“I’m not yet Luna, Allie.”

"That's where it's going, Wendy."

"I still can't believe I'm going to have any hope of having a new mate again after I'm rejected, and then one of the surprises is he's an Alpha."

"That's really how life is Wendy. Look at me, who's to say that I'll meet Kayden and have a family. Before, I almost gave up on the hope of meeting him because of the human place we live."

"So be nice to Kayden. You guys are always fighting. He's a good guy and I'm sure he loves you very much."

"I know that."

"Wait, does he already know about your pregnancy? It’s impossible for him to miss that."

"Not yet and I sprayed perfume inside the room so he wouldn't notice."

"You're a really crazy woman. By the way, Luna Angel and Alpha Gabriel will come later. Mark and I invited them to my birthday as we saw them yesterday." I said. It's better to let her know sooner than if she finds out later. It may cause more misunderstanding, Allie is pregnant. I can't risk her health. She’s very aggressive which might cause problems with her baby.

"You saw her yesterday? Why didn't you tell me?"

"How can I tell you? Mark and I got home last night and I fell asleep right away. So now that I woke up and we met I told you." I explain.

"She's nice Allie. I'm sure you'll get along once you meet her."

"I don't know. I don't really like her. Kayden used to love her and what do we know if she still loves Angel until now."

"Kayden used to love her but there’s you in his life now. You shouldn't even think about that thing and focus on your pregnancy."

"I don't know. Let's not talk about that right now. I need to help you to get ready. It’s almost time for your party. Also, I've seen Ysabelle yesterday. To be honest she's beautiful and very graceful. Everyone seems to dote her to being the next Luna. They don’t know that Alpha Mark already found one.” Allie said.

Mark's ex-girlfriend is another problem for me. But I have to handle everything. Mark loves me and he is doing everything to prove it to me.

"Don't worry about Ysabelle, I know Mark won't do bad things. He's not like my Ex." I said.

I have to trust Mark. He is my mate after all.

Allie and I first forgot the things that were bothering our minds. It’s important we finish on time so as not to get caught up in the party later.

She puts a lot of effort to fix my hair and make-up. I don't even recognize myself when I look in the mirror. Allie braided my hair and let me wear an ash gray dress that matches Mark's eyes.

"I look good. You really do your best Allie." I said as I hug her.

“I know right!”

We both laugh before she leaves my room and ready herself too. She will handle outside chores so I’ll meet her later at the party. I’m waiting for Mark now. He said that he will come to escort me outside.

I heard a knock on the door and I immediately opened it.

I see my mate standing outside my door looking devilishly handsome. He's wearing a gray polo shirt like mine and a pair of faded jeans. His scent invaded my nose and I can't stop thinking about how it felt to be in his arms at the moment.

"Hello, beautiful." He said before he moves to plant a kiss on my lips.

The electricity that came from his lips traveled in my entire body. Why I am being so responsive to his touch all of a sudden?

"Hi, handsome." I greeted back.

"If we weren't needed outside I definitely wouldn't be able to stop myself from claiming you," Mark said as he pulls me closer to his body. He puts both his hands on my waist and I can't seem to think properly.

“Behave properly Mister. We have a birthday to celebrate too.” I said while trying to calm my nerves. The longer we stay here the sooner I’ll give in to this temptation.

Our hormones are colliding with each other.

“Let’s go and make this over. I want them to know who you are to my life so we can proceed to fulfill our mate bond.”

I was just laughing at Mark. I know I'm ready to be claimed later and I want him very much. I want every inch of him too.

Almost everyone was already waiting for Mark outside. They didn’t know it was my birthday today. I tried to look for Angel among the guests but I couldn’t find him. Some unfamiliar faces are here too and to my surprise, my ex-mate and his chosen mate are present at this party. My whole body trembled at the sight of him. I don't love him anymore but he reminds me of the pain of being rejected.

"Wendy are you alright?" Mark asked. He feels my discomfort.

"Why is he here?" I asked.

"Who?"

"Arthur."

"I-I don't know. I didn't invite the Full Moon pack here."

"Then why are they here?"

Mark called Kayden using the pack link and ask him about the Full Moon pack.

"I'm sorry Wendy, I forgot to mention to Kayden about your history. He invited all the pack Alpha and Luna as an announcement of my Luna." Mark explained.

“I-I understand.” I avoided Arthur’s eyes when he finally acknowledges my presence in the area. Claire, his mate also looks at my direction. She looks annoyed seeing me here.

‘Don’t be afraid Wendy. Remember who and what you are now.’ Lucy said inside my head.

‘I know. We can do this.’ I said back to her.

She’s right. I’m not the same girl they used to bully before. I am no longer the rejected mate. I am now Mark’s mate and will be the Luna of the Wolf Fang pack.

“Let’s go,” I said while holding Mark’s hand.
