Chapter 19

When she said the word “ Mr.Cian” it was really cold. Her smiling face and the tone didn't match up together.

Cian looked in a different direction and said,”let’s go and sorry about the thing that happened earlier”.

Rose nodded and they started to walk towards Bred who was listening to their conversation without disturbing them.

When he saw Cian acting like that, he knitted his brow and thought something was quite different. But he didn't say it and endured in his heart.

They walked without knowing where that path leads to them. Every way looks the same. There was just a tree on their way and about the beast there was none. They didn't have any map nor a direction so they just wandered around.

After 1 hour of wandering around they see the water flowing in a downward direction. The water that they saw was really small.

Cian said,”the water is flowing in the downward direction so let’s go to the opposite side of the flowing water”.

They nodded at each other and started to walk in an upward direction. As they moved towards the upward direction, the water was getting bigger. After following the water flow for some time, they finally listened to the sound of the waterfall. They ran towards the sound and they saw a waterfall that was so big, the waterfall looked like the water was coming down straight from the sky. They didn't see any top part of the waterfall. It was like the top part was hidden in the sky.

The water was flowing down, the sound of water flowing was really big and even if they were a bit far from the waterfall, some of the water reached their body and they could feel it. Now they reach the waterfall but how to reach the statue that they saw in the den.

Cia came near to the river and started to wipe the blood that was in his jacket. While wiping it his gaze landed on the waterfall and he saw something.

He stood up and said, ”this waterfall is like a curtain that has blocked something which is inside”.

Bred said,”how could you say that?”.

Cain said by pointing towards the waterfall, ”if there was any waterfall in the human world with this height then there will be a kind of fog when it reaches the water in the river or will be like a cloud when it is flowing from this height. But in this waterfall, there is no fog and the thickness of the waterfall looks so light”.

Rose said,”so you want to say that this waterfall works like a curtain and is hiding something”.

Cian said,”yes”, while nodding his head.

Bred said, ”So what are we waiting for, let's go and see what it is?”.

They jumped in the river and started to swim and reach the waterfall. They get through the waterfall and as Cian says the waterfall was working like a curtain. They turned around and saw that the waterfall was still there. Then they stood up and the water was up to only up to their waist. The water and inside and outside the waterfall was different. Then they didn't swim and walk. They reach the bank and get out from the river. Then they start to squeeze the water from their clothes. Bred and Rose also squeezed their hair while Cian didn't have to do this as his hair was short. So he just rubbed it with his hands.

When they came out from the water there was nothing but just a tree on both sides but when they raised their heads they could see a palace.

The river was also there, they could still hear some of the sound of the waterfall, but the palace came out of nowhere.

They walked towards the palace, the palace gives a vibe that tries to tell, ”you come inside then never go back”.

They reached near the palace and there was a gate, they opened it. They took a step inside the gate and there was a dry leaf in the whole path that leads to the palace door.

They looked around and on both sides there was only a tree and there was no trace of any leaf in it. The tree looks like it was dead or the tree was just a prop that the humans use in the drama.

Cian said, ”where did this leaf come from?”.

Bred shrugged his shoulders and said, ”who knows?”.

They all kept silent and there was just the sound of wind and the sound of footsteps. Every time they took a step, the sound came like they were crushing the bones.

Finally they reached the door with all this sound. They looked at each other and Rose opened the door. There was no large hall like other palaces but directly a way with dim light and the way was so long that they could not see the end. They took their step toward the dim light which was hanging in the wall of the path and started to move forward. They could only hear the dripping of water from their clothes. They were on their guard if something happened then they could tackle it.

Cian felt that this way may lead to the door of hell. He felt he was going to hell straight from this way.

They walked and walked but there was no end to it. Cian turned back and the dim light that was on was off in their back side.

Cian said in a slow voice ,”the light is no more in the way that we came from”.

Bred and Rose turned their heads and saw there was no light and it looked like there was some kind of wall.

Bred said,”it looks like we can't go back now”.

Rose said,”it's alright till there is a light in front”.

After taking five steps, Rose said,”I feel like I have stepped on something”.

Bred said not moving ,”like what”.

Before Rose could answer, the three of them fell down from the floor as the floor opened suddenly and they all fell down.

The fall is so sudden and unexpected that they scream for a second and they see each other's faces and thank god that they were still together. But the thing was they were still in the air and they had not reached the ground. After some time they hit the floor and they all were groaning from the pain when they hit the floor with such force.

They slowly stood up and saw that no one got fractured in their bones nor did they have any wound. There was just a pain. When they saw the ground, the ground was full of sand.

Cian said, ”falling from those heights, we should have got some wounds or fractures but here we are just feeling pain in our body”.

Rose and bred said together, ”no idea about it”.

Then they started to look around and they were surrounded by the statue that they had seen in the wall of the den.

Bred said,”so we finally reached the statue”.

Rose said, ”umm”.

The statue was white. There were a total of five statues and they were kept at the same and equal distance. If it was in another palace then the statue would be of different pose but now in here, the statue was of the same pose and there was no any slight difference between them. The statue was sitting and taking the load of his head in one hand and looking at them. The statue made the people feel it was alive and it was staring at them. The statue was like a human was sitting but the face of the statue was not of human nor a vampire but of a beast that they just encountered on their way. The styling and pose of the statue was so not matchable

On the wall, there was a saying, ``Choose and touch the statue and you will get what you want but remember one slight mistake, all of you will face the consequences”.

Bred said,”the consequences should not be related to the death of us as in this world nothing will die, so it must be something else”.

Cian said,”let’s not go up to the consequences, it’s not your world nor mine so we don't know what will happen next second if we get it wrong”.

Rose was looking around the statue really carefully when they were talking and recognized the difference in the statue. She again checked twice to be sure and she had a feeling that this must be right and there was no other difference in this whole five statue.

She said,”I have found a statue that is different from others”.

Bred and Cian’s eyes sparkled when they heard this and they said in unison, ”which one is it?”.

Rose saw the sparkle of those eyes and ignored it and said, ”this one”, by pointing to the statue that was straight to them.

Bred said, ”what’s the difference between this and other?”.
