Chapter 71: Chapter 71
Matthew
"Why is she not answering my call?"
"Where is she?"
Where did she go? I should have messaged her to tell her to wait for me. I forgot to text her because I was busy preparing for my surprise.
I tried to contact Claire. "Sir?" she answered from the other line.
"Ahh, is Traizle there?" I asked.
"She's not here, Sir. She didn't go here all day. I thought you were together." Claire answered on the other line.
"Yeah, we are together—a while ago. I returned to our room to prepare something, but she was nowhere to be found." I shared.
I returned to our room to contact someone to prepare our dinner date. We prepared everything, and I made sure to help and see it myself. That's why it took me long.
She is not answering my calls or text me. Where the hell is she?
I toured around to see if she was outside. I visited every restaurant and store I could see, but she was still nowhere to be found.
I returned to our hotel and waited for her in the lobby, but no Traizle came in.
I decided to go back to our hotel room.
"Please cancel my reservation. I am really sorry. I will just pay for it." I told the service clerk and ended the call.
"We should be eating our dinner right now. And this is our first time sleeping together in just one room."
"Just... where is she?"
I woke up in the morning and fell asleep while waiting for Traizle. She didn't come home. I went out to see if she was sleeping in her friend's room, but they were packing their stuff. I have told her friends and the other employees about Traizle's disappearance.
"Please contact me if you see her." I told them.
They all nodded. "We will help you to find her, Sir. We will be leaving in a few hours." Sonia answered.
"Does something happen before she goes away?" Alessa asked.
I shake my head. "We are okay. I went back to our room to prepare for our dinner date secretly. When I went back, I couldn't find her anywhere. I toured around and waited for her in the lobby, but she didn't come in," I explained. "I am getting worried."
"You can call her brothers. Maybe she will call and tell you where she is." Claire suggested.
"Yeah, I should do that. Please help me find her. I will go outside first." I said before leaving.
I dialed Lyndon's number. "Matthew, why?"
"Did Traizle call you?" I asked right away.
There was a short pause before he answered. "Yeah, she called in your first and second day there. Why?"
"How about last night?" I asked again.
"No, she didn't call, but she left a text that you are dating while her co-workers are busy with team building. Why? Is there any problem?"
I sighed. "She didn't come home last night. I thought she would return after a few hours, but she did not." I shared.
The other line went quiet for a while. "Matthew, ask your employees to find her right now." Lyndon said, panicking.
"Why?" I asked back.
"Last day, somebody tried to get Layzen from his school. Luckily, Zac came to fetch him and called for help." Lyndon explained.
No, that can't be. "I will ask a police officer to search for her. Tell your Dad about this, okay?" I told him.
"I will call him. Matthew," he called. "Please find her." he added, almost sounds he was begging.
"I will," I answered back. "I am sorry. I didn't take care of her properly. I will promise to look for her anywhere." I said before ending the call.
There's a big possibility that her mother tried to get her. But if they are the ones who planned to do this, how did they know about it—they might have read about it on social media.
Damn.
I asked for a police team to look for her. My employees also helped me find her, but they didn't see her anywhere. I also think that her mother did this. Traizle won't leave without saying anything. She knows that we will get worried. There are no other people who are mad at her.
My phone vibrated. I get my phone to see if there's any news about her. An unknown number flashed on my screen.
"Traizle is with me. I guess you know what to do."
I showed the message I received to the officer to tell him about the text.
"I guess they didn't know I asked for your help." I told them.
"If that's the situation, then you can contact them to ask for what they need. We will try to locate them if they try to call you." the police officer suggested.
They should not try to hurt her, or I will give them ten times what they did.
I hope she is okay. I missed her already. Why must they get her when we have our moment in life? That's too much.
I tried to call the number. After a few rings, they answered my call. I signed a gesture, telling them that they had answered my call.
"Just tell me what you guys need, and I will give it to you. Where is she? Don't dare to hurt her." I bombarded them.
"I have been struggling with Isabel's wants and needs because I thought she could help me grow my money." A man answered.
The investigators signed me to make our conversation longer.
"I hope you are not with any police officer right now."
"Mr. Limede, I don't need their help if you will make our deal easier. Where is she?" I asked. "I need to make sure that she is okay."
"She is talking with her mother. I just gave you a message to let you know she is here," he answered. "All I want to happen is to have a billion pesos. Can you give it to me?" he asked.
"When and where?" I asked.
"I will text you the time and address. Remember that I don't want to see or hear police personnel beside you. Our deal will be off when I see anyone." he warned.
"No worries, I don't go back to my promise," I answered. The investigators also signed me that they had finished tracking them down. "I will be waiting for your text." I added before he ended the call.
"Did you just say, Mr. Limede?" The police asked after they made sure the call ended. They were shocked by the news of Mr. Limede being involved in this case.
I nodded. "There is a reason why this happened. I think, now that the Limede Corporation is facing bankruptcy, he and Traizle's mother abducted her," I answered. "They knew about our relationship, and Mr. Limede was trying to deal with my company, but I haven't accepted his proposals for years already." I added and shared the connection between Traizle’s mother and Mr. Limede and the essential information they need to know.
"We will send our team to the place where we located it. We will get her as soon as possible." the police officer answered.
"Thank you, please make it more quickly. If they notice I am doing this, something bad may happen to her." I begged.
How can her mother do this to her daughter? I hope she is okay.
Please, Traizle. Be okay. I will save you soon.
