Chapter 29: Chapter 29

"I wasn't leaving you Roy " Beryl whimpered. He held her roughly by the chin.

"I know you won't, you love me so much isn't ?" He was moving towards the bathroom door. He opened the door, with the other hand and dragged her in. Removing his hands from her chin. He led her into the bathroom. And turn on the shower. Placing her under the tube.

"Ye--ah l love you Roy, please stop hurting me.”

“Hurting you, I’m not hurting you baby.”

He caresses her cheek with his thumb. And twisted her nipple from her dress, she whine.

"I don't want to hurt you babe but you keep forcing me to, am not the kind of person to hurt you or anyone.

Am loving and sweet you know that right "

His hands moved from his cheek to her neck and grip her.

"Ye--ah"

Tears prickled her eyes.

"When this is all over we'll go far away from here, visit Vietnam, you always wanted to go there for vacation."

His grip tighten.

"You're hurting me Roy "

She tried removing his hands from her neck but it only worsened the situation.

"I won't hurt you anymore "

"Roy please "

He sunk her head into the water. She gabble, swallowing the waters, she struggled with it. But his grip on her hair was tightened.

He brought his lips closer to her ear and in a low threatening voice he said.

"If you dare move an inch from her here, I won't hesitate to snapped your pretty neck "

And he kissed her forcefully, on her body and draw her head out of the water.

"You shouldn't go against my orders, whenever I say something that's what you're gonna do"

"Please Roy "

"I won't hurt you I promise "

Beryl cried.

She was doomed.

And there was no way she ever gonna get out of this.

He pulled her dress of her body, and began running his hands down her nakedness.

He cupped her breast. And brought his lips closer to it and bite it. She only cried.

He deep her head into the waters again.

And allow her stay for minutes. She kept on hitting his hands to let go but it wasn’t working.

“Are you gonna leave me?”

He asked.

She shook her head. Severally, and he pulled her head out of it.

She gasped.

She was still alive.

“I did I hurt you babe.”

“You didn’t.”

She gasped.

“Come on, Let’s have some fun. In here.”

She shook her head.

“No please!” She shouted.

“Did you just tell me no!” Bam! His five fingers appeared on her face. He slapped her hard on the face and slapped her again and again. Her lips broke. And began bleeding.

“You don’t tell me no. Understand!” She pulled her hair backwards. The water had filled the tube to the brim. It was easier now, since her body was already covered with the waters. With a hand he pressed her down, so she wasn’t able to get out of the waters without his aide.

“Enjoying it, you always like water. I’m giving you enough now, ain’t I just the perfect boyfriend for you. You can’t see anyone like me. When I say let’s have some fun time together, you say yes. You don’t question me or say no.”

Her legs were dancing in the air.

“An gonna ask again. Let’s have some fun?”

She nodded.

He smiled and lift her off from the waters and turn off the shower. He took her in his arms towards the room. Hurled her on the bed. And quickly pulled off his pants and jumped on the bed, on top of her.

Dixon stare at her as her head was leaned on the window of the bus, they took. She hasn’t spoken a word since they left the place they were stranded on. She was lost in thought, whatever she was thinking, he shouldn’t let her be this gloomy, but he doesn’t know what to do, he had tried talking to her but she wasn’t responding, she didn’t even stare at him. But look away anytime he says something. And now, her gaze was outside the window.

Reached out and touched her hands. She flinched when he did that, and her fingers came out, now looking like claws, almost dipping them into his hands. Which got Dixon startled. Guilt flashed in her eyes, she looked away immediately, pulling her hands into the hoodie she wore.

“What was that?.” He whispered.

She didn’t know it was him. Couldn’t she sense him anymore, what was wrong, he has to talk to Green immediately they get back. His phone was dead already, and he had to charge them to make a call.

He had to talk to Bruce too.

He run his hands over his body, up and down. Still feeling the shivers. At least no one has seen them. They didn’t get to see her claws came out.

He knew something was wrong, but he doesn’t know, what ain’t they telling him.

He would find out anyway.

She didn’t want him to find out, but she guess she couldn’t hide it anymore. She was gonna die. She nearly hurt him. Just now, her sense of him was very faint. Not as strong as it was, that she could easily senses him when he was coming, or close home.

She sniffed, and blinked the blood from her eyes. She doesn’t have much days left. And she was scared of that day, the day she had to leave him.

The day she wouldn’t see him anymore. That day. She didn’t want it to happen, but she couldn’t stop it.

She wants to be human again..

she sobs quietly. Bringing her head down and cried.

Dixon heard her softly cries. He wanted to reached out again but, he couldn’t, he couldn’t hug her or pat her, that’s it’s gonna be okay, instead he watched her cried. While he was hurting inside.

They came down from the bus. And began walking down to their home. Maeve walked sluggishly behind him. He had to wait for her to meet up with him. When she was close enough, he pulled out her hands from the pocket in the hoodie and wrapped his hands around it. Then slowly intertwined their fingers.

She looked at him.

He spun her around to face him. And kissed her lips. Shortly though. He withdrew from the kiss. But she pulled him back. To resume kissing her. Her hands were up to his neck. Dwelling in the kiss. He smiled as he kissed her.

He pulled back, placing his forehead on hers. She smiled.

He lift her off her feet and carried her in bridal style.

“I’ll take you home.”

He kissed her forehead.

“Rest for a while.”

She nodded, placing her head on his chest. And shut her eyes.

He held her closer and began walking home.

When he stare down at her again she was fast asleep.

“I want you to tell me what’s wrong?”

“What do you mean?”

“She’s been so weak, and gloomy. And always sleepy, isn’t as she was before. What’s wrong. I know something is wrong, don’t tell me it isn’t. Isn’t the blood I gave her enough?”

“It isn’t that.” Green replied with his hand on his head.

“Then what. What ain’t you telling me.”

“Maybe she’s just worried about we not being able to find a cure for her.”

“Is that why she’s weak and gloomy, always in thought, her claws came out today, almost hurt me. Though her eyes still held the normal blue. But her body changed..”

“I don’t know about..”

“Don’t tell me that, you and I know, you’re the only person who got to tell us what to expect and get prepared for. You know more about her than I do. You’ve studied her, you people made her who she is!” He yelled standing up the couch.

“That’s way I did what I could, to let her go.”

“You could have done more. You saw what they did to her, you didn’t help her when you could, you let them have their way with her. You didn’t say a word. Instead you worked with that monster Lucas and made her a demon. You did!”

He shouted.

“If you really did helped, the very first time you saw there you would have helped her out of there. Five years you were there with her. In that same house. Feeding her injection, killing her soul. If anything happens to her. I swear Green... I wouldn’t spare you.”

He darted out of the room. Into the bathroom upstairs and shut the door. Facing the wall, he began punching it. Hard. Until he bleeds.

The only way he could get the thought off his head.

Whatever was happening to her. He couldn’t help, he couldn’t do anything.

Aargh!

He continued punching the wall. He turned on the shower, standing under it. And stare at his reflection. He groaned and continued punching it.

Why was he kept in the dark. Why?

Why, wasn’t she human?

The first time he finally met someone, who he truly likes. And this has to happen, she wasn’t human, they couldn’t help be human.

Even when he was dying to save her.

Help her, and always see that smile on her face.

For days now, he hadn’t seen her smile. He hadn’t seen her smile so brightly at him.

That was what he wants.

He wanted her to be human and always be by his side, and never leave him.

“What was going on, I heard Dixon voice.”

Maeve said climbing down the stairs and holding a bottle of soda. Green was sniffing when she met up with him. He quickly wiped his eyes with the back of his hands.

She dropped the half drink soda. On the table in front of Green.

“I thought you were asleep.” His voice was hoarse.

“What’s wrong, were you crying?”

“I’m sorry, I just couldn’t helped it. My greatest sin, was that, I couldn’t do what I should have done. To help that girl. I was scared of Lucas.”

“You shouldn’t blame yourself for what happened. It’s all in the past, don’t let it reflect on your future, which is now. You saved me, that’s all that matters and thanks to you, I’ve got to experience what life as a human feels like.”

She hugged him.

She didn’t thought she would ever see him this way.

“You should tell him. It just two more weeks. Let him know. The reason you’re always so weak and gloomy. Tell him.”

“I would tell him. But not now.”

They disengaged.

“I don’t want to see you like this Green.”

“I’ll be fine, you should go to him. He needs you.”

She nods and stood up from the chair. Green took the soda from the table and watched her running upstairs. He sipped from the soda.

He wasn’t able to do anything, but now, he was gonna do his best. There has to be something. A way for her to be human and that he’s gonna find before the full eclipse, what was the antidote for her.

He chugged down everything and stood up, taking up his hat. And place them on his head. This was his mission. First find a way and make that way possible even if it seems impossible.

He opened the door and walked out. Quietly shutting it behind him.

Maeve stand in front of the door of the bathroom and held the door knob. Then opens. She was him. Drenched in the T-shirt and short he wore. She watched the shower runs down his body.

Then her eyes spot the blood dripping from his hands. She flinched and run to meet him. Entering the shower she grip his hands.

Dixon lift his head up and stare at her. He smiled softly.

“You’re awake?”

“Yes..” her voice quavers.

“What’s wrong?”

“Why did you hurt yourself.” She was on the edge of breaking down.

He cupped her cheeks. With a faint smile. And leaned closer to kiss her. She sniffed and wrapped her hands on his body.

Her body was already drenched by the shower. Her hair was wet and stuck to her face, he pushed them off her face and and embraced her lips in his.

He kissed her deeply, like he had never done before. Her hands went into his hair. And began running her hands through them.

He pulled her off her feet. Her legs wrapped around his waist. Placing her back against the wall.

He brought his head down to her neck and kissed her.

She shivers under his touch. This feeling she was never getting enough of it. Her stomach knots, and tighten.

She kissed him back. Just the way he did to

her. She moaned in the kiss.

Hw dropped her down on her feet, though he didn’t want to stop kissing her.

“Don’t ever leave me, Maeve. Make sure you don’t.”

He whispered.

Which only got her emotional. She smiled and touched his cheeks. Affectionately.

Tiptoeing, she kissed him. As an reply to what he said.
