I stood in front of the mirror admiring the beautiful red dress that clung to my body, I paired it with four inches black heels.
Mia had done my makeup as naturally as possible which made me look simple but classic since my face will be covered in a mask.
"I already told you, you look stunning, no man will be able to keep their eyes off you except my man of course". Mia said walking into my room, she had someone else who could do her makeup knowing for a fact I can't do makeup even if it's life and death.
We both laughed and walked out of my room to the entrance.
"Oh...I forgot to tell you that since you don't have an escort, I asked my mate to demand that he will take you there".
My mouth jaw practically dropped on the floor, Why would she do that knowing how much I disliked that asshole.
I gave her a deadpanned look.
Rushing and continued talking before I could say a word "And before you say why did I do that knowing how much you loathe that guy, let me just tell you the party is going to have a lot of guys and seeing how you are and not use to meeting new people, I won't always be with you throughout the, I will be with my mate, I don't want you standing all alone ".
She rambled cutely, I knew she was nervous because she only rambles when she's happy, sad, angry, and nervous.

I spoke too soon, this night is going to be been with him all through.
I felt my wolf whimper at my thought.
I turned my face towards the ass hoe direction, he hooked pretty clean up in his tuxedo suit paired with a black mask just like his heart.

"So ladies can we go we getting late ", Johnathan said coming in and stopping me from replying to that asshole.

"Jess you are riding with Alex and I with Johnathan", she didn't even wait for me to reply and dragged her mate to the car both of them zooming off.
"Are we going or are you going to continue standing here acting like a moron".
I forgot the asshole was standing beside me.

None of us said anything either, when we got to our destination I hurriedly left the car slamming the door in the process.

Walking into the ballroom, the room was decorated in a festive appearance, you could tell a lot of effort was expertly put in place, the bright chandelier was hanging at the center of the room, the chairs and glass tables were beautifully decorated with a cream color.
Distinguished guests were dressed elegantly in their stylish custom and masks on.
I jolt in shock when I felt something like an electric current pass through my body.
"we're do you think you are going, have you forgotten that we are each other's escort for today" he spoke angrily and was shocked.
I'm sure he also noticed what happened when he touched me, removing his hands quickly from my body the spot where he touch immediately turned cold like something is already missing.
This is the second time this is happening only that this time his touch feels different good, I almost moaned at the thought.
shaking my hand to clear my stupid thought, I turned to look at him, he was already looking at me with an unreadable expression.
We were both cut starring at each other by Johnathan and Mia again.
