The day was bright and beautiful the birds were chirping, people were going about doing their jobs and me what was I doing getting bored at of my mind but also excited about the ball, it's going to be my first masquerade ball.......... am elated.

Back home no much exciting thing to do the same routine every day especially when Mia my only source of fun left, I just go to work, eat, sleep, bath, ... that's it and we are back to another day of repetition.....my only source of consolation and insanity was Netflix so when it was time to come here I hurriedly packed my bags.

"Does that mean am a joke to you since you were always bored" my wolf questioned me?

"of course not, you know I love you" she just rolled her wolfy eyes at me.

"I feel the love" she retorted Sarcastically.

I was about to respond but I was interrupted by a scream and bang on my door.

Mia walked inside slamming the poor door and sat close to me on the bed.... feels like deja vu.

"Jess aren't you excited about the party, my mate says there going to be witches like I haven't seen a witch before, how are they going to look like, do they have a magic wand, are what we see on tv through about their flying broom and all those bullshit true, are they going to be other supernatural creatures present like vampires...nope I don't like them or faires," she rambled on and on about those creatures.

The girl sure loves talking when she wants to I didn't even stop her rather let her cause I find it kind of cute.

"am talking too again am I," she asked trying to calm her already racing heart.

"yes but if it helps I find it kind of cute though and am sure Johnathan does," I said wiggling my eyebrows at her.

she laughed and said "I can't wait for you to find your mate so I can also tease you too, hopefully, this ball you get to meet him" I just nodded my head in response.

"Jessica I told my mate to speak to Alex about his behavior towards you," she said seriously sitting up straight like a mother talking to a child about puberty.

"Why did you do that Mia that asshole will probably think I always run to my best friend and mate to fight my battles for me" she shook her head.

"No Mia, I don't know why you guys suddenly hate each other guts when you don't know each other but all I know is he's not a bad guy" she defended the asshole.

"he's not a bad guy my foot, that guy is the most rudest and annoying creature I have ever met in my life" before I could continue I was cut off by her.

"you forgot only creature, technically you only meet werewolf "she added.

"that besides the point "I inhaled then continue talking," the point is on less he change his damn attitude, face, and annoying scents then there nothing to talk about"I breathed out.

"Annoying scents how he is scents annoying, don't all werewolf in the same pack has the scent and him been like the alpha king his scent is the best so what are you talking about" she crossed her hands eager to know what am saying

"you mean you don't smell that annoying scent he carries and anytime he touches he kind of burns me like some magical powers he has, I mean doesn't he burn you too?" I asked confused by her statement.

she laughed out loud like I just said the funniest joke of the century"Jess is either you going crazy or made because I can assure you that Alexander doesn't have magical powers that I know of and certainly don't burn people" she continued laughing, I don't see what funny does she think am joking.

"Anyway Ma just mind linked me she needs some help at the packed kitchen with the children and since we are both less busy and jobless, I offered her our support, so come on let go".

It not like I was doing anything important anyway and had a choice when it comes to Mia the girl can be demanding at times......... Johnathan has his hands full.

with that we both went to the packhouse, I just hoped it won't see that annoying asshole girlfriend.

I can only hope and pray cause this time so help me God I slap that bitch plastic face.
