Chapter 9: Chapter 9

Thiago and I spent the whole day shopping and walking around the main parts of Bangkok, it was honestly one of the most amazing places I've ever been to. It was very busy everywhere we went but that added to the buzzing atmosphere. We didn't mention the argument that happened last night so thankfully we hadn't argued about it yet. See this is our relationship, we argue about our arguments.

Whilst we walked through the shopping mall, Thiago had insisted that I buy something from almost every shop that I looked at, but I refused every time. I didn't want to spend my money on silly things and I definitely didn't want him to pay for me. I think he was getting frustrated with the fact that I wasn't buying anything which I didn't quite understand but I didn't question it, I was having a peaceful time without having to deal with his short temper.

We were in the elevator on the way back up to our room to get ready for dinner tonight when Thiago told me what the plans were. "We're meeting someone for dinner." I rose an eyebrow at this. "Who?" He shook his head and stepped out the elevator. "Just someone, so make sure you look good this time." He glanced down at my clothes and I scoffed at his comment. "You can go on your own Thiago." I walked past him making sure to hit him with my shoulder. My clothes weren't even that bad, he just has something against the way I dress because it's not posh.

I walked into our suite and went straight to the bedroom, I slipped off my shoes and dropped my handbag on the floor just as Thiago came into the room.

"You're coming with me. Don't piss me off Sophie I swear I'm not in the mood to deal with your shit." I turned around to glare at him. " My shit?! Clearly this was never a fucking honeymoon Thiago, you just came here for your pathetic Mafia shit!" He glared at me but stayed rooted to his spot by the door. "Shut the fuck up and get ready, you've got no fucking choice. I'm not leaving you here alone."

I knew better than to argue with Thiago, if I pushed him any further he would flip and I didn't need any more bruises on my body from him. He left the room to let me get ready and I changed into something more appropriate for the evening, and knowing we were meeting someone Thiago knows it meant I had to dress up even more than I wanted to.

Eventually I decided on wearing a nude satin dress. I quickly refreshed some of the curls in my hair and touched up my make up whilst Thiago got ready. I went into the living room where Thiago was sitting in his suit ready to go. He looked amazing in his suit but I wasn't ever going to tell him that. His ego was big enough. He gave me a once over before heading out the door without even so much as a nod. At that moment all I wanted to do was cry. No matter what I wore he was never going to be satisfied with how I looked, I would never be anything like his sisters or probably his exes too. Ever since I met him I've been second guessing my appearance, before I met him I never cared what anyone thought about how I dressed and now all I do is worry if I actually look nice or not. When you get married you expect your husband to tell you that you look beautiful and to make you feel special. Thiago just makes me feel like shit when he's in his moods. I took a deep breath before following him to the elevators, he was busy texting on his phone as we rode down stairs. We went out to his car which was already waiting for us when we got there.

Half an hour later we pulled up to a fancy restaurant, someone opened my door for me when the car stopped, I got out and Thiago was quickly by my side. He spoke to one of the waiters and they showed us to a private room where a table for six was set. There was already one person sitting at the table when we got there and he gave me a cold glare.

"What the hell is he doing here Thiago?" I glanced between the two brothers as Matteo stood up next to Thiago. "Just keep your mouth shut, don't speak at all, understand?" I glared at Matteo before turning to Thiago who nodded in agreement. "You're fucking unbelievable Thiago." He didn't even look remorseful knowing he had just brought me to a dinner with two mafia members and probably more to come.

"I hate you. I swear to God Thiago-" Before I could continue the door to our room opened and Thiago pulled me closer to him, his hand gripping my wrist tightly. "Shut up. Now." He gave me one last glare before turning to the people that had entered the room.

My eyes travelled to three seemingly Japanese men who all gave off a dangerous aura, not as bad as Thiago's but still, you know not to fuck with them.

"Thiago." Thiago nodded at the man who spoke, I'm assuming he was the leader. "Kaito."

"You're a hard Italian to contact." I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle when Kaito referred to Thiago as 'Italian' which is something I like to do. All eyes were instantly on me, Thiago and Matteo were glaring daggers at me whilst the other three men looked at me questioningly. "Something funny?" I shook my head and stepped a little closer to Thiago realising they had absolutely no sense of humour.

"Look at me, don't look at her." Thiago glared at Kaito who looked between the two of us and smirked before taking a seat at the table, his two men did the same. "So she's yours then? Clearly someone special if you're so protective of her." Thiago pulled out my chair gesturing for me to sit down before he and Matteo did the same, he purposely ignored Kaito's comment.

"Ignore her, she's just his bitch." I looked over at Matteo who was already glaring at me. "What the hell is your problem? Was trying to kill me and embarrassing me at my own wedding not enough for you?" Matteo opened his mouth to respond but Thiago beat him to it. "That's enough." His voice held so much authority and seriousness there was no way I was going to carry on talking. I looked back at Kaito who was leaning back in his chair watching us in amusement.

"Baby if you want someone to treat you properly, all you have to do is tell me." Kaito gave me a small smirk whilst eyeing me. He wasn't as good looking as Thiago but he was still handsome. I felt Thiago tense up next to me and I saw his hand clench into a fist on the table. "I'm fine, thank you. I'm married." Kaito nodded with a smug smile on his face. "To him?" He nodded over at Thiago questioningly. "Yep." I responded to him, popping the 'p'. He chuckled quietly and nodded, I glanced at Thiago questioningly, wondering why he wasn't saying anything, he had gone unusually quiet since Kaito walked in. The waiter came into our room interrupting the tense conversation. We gave our orders after quickly scanning the menu. After he left Thiago took over the conversation and began discussing business with Kaito, I didn't understand whatever he was going on about so I just zoned out.

The food came and I ate quietly whilst Thiago and Kaito spoke with Matteo occasionally dropping in a few comments. The dinner dragged on and eventually we were almost done but Kaito's attention turned back to me once again.

"So baby, you want to come back with me?" I frowned and shook my head, looking at Kaito in disgust. "Are you sure?" I nodded in response. "I'm not a cheater." He shifted his eyes to Thiago and gave him a mocking smile, Thiago was furious but once again he stayed quiet. "It's a shame your husband isn't as faithful as you are."

I frowned as I looked at the two who were staring each other in the eye as if they were having a silent conversation. "What?" Seconds later Kaito broke his stare with Thiago and turned to me. "Ask him who Antonia is baby." Kaito leaned back in his seat, picking up his glass and he sipped his drink with a smug grin on his face. I turned to Thiago who looked like he was ready to kill someone.

"Sophie be quiet." My eyes flashed to Matteo who gave me a warning look. "Someone tell me what I'm missing here." At this Kaito eagerly sat up. "Allow me. Your husband and Antonia-" Before Kaito could continue Thiago stood up and pulled a gun out of his suit jacket, pointing it directly at Kaito, almost simultaneously Kaito's men pulled out their guns and aimed them at Thiago. I sat there in shock as I watched the two glare daggers at each other.

"Sorry, it seems I've hit a sensitive spot." Kaito smiled, clearly enjoying the whole situation. He stood up after telling his men to drop their guns. "It was nice seeing you Thiago. I hope I haven't caused any issues between the two of you, that wasn't my intention." Kaito gave Thiago a sarcastic smile before turning to me. He took my hand and kissed it, keeping a tight grip on it. "Come back here if you decide you want someone who will treat you like you deserve to be treated my beautiful." His eyes held sincerity but I just pulled my hand out of his grip causing him to chuckle. He left the room with his men leaving Thiago, Matteo and I alone.

"I'm going back to the hotel." I left the restaurant before either of the brothers could speak, I just needed to get out of there and be alone for a while. I sat in the cab on the way back to our hotel thinking over what happened at the restaurant. Thiago probably stayed quiet through out the whole conversation hoping I wouldn't find out about Antonia. I have a good idea about who she could possibly be and trust me, it doesn't make me feel good.

I made my way up to our suite, taking off my make up and my dress, I put on some leggings and a tank top before going to brush my teeth. I had just got into bed when I heard Thiago come inside our room. He came into the bedroom but I refused to look at him. "Sophie I need to talk to you." I shook my head and reached over turning off the lamp.

I heard him sigh and come over to my side of the bed, he switched the lamp back on causing me to glare at him. "Please listen to me." I sat up and leaned against the headboard with a permanent glare on my face, I pulled my knees to my chest whilst waiting for

him to speak . "Hurry up then." He sat on the bed infront of me and sighed. "Antonia is my ex." I looked away from Thiago as he spoke, part of me didn't want to hear anymore. "We were together for four years before I found out she had been cheating on me, with Kaito. She's been on and off with him since I found out and ended it with her." Thiago went quiet and let out a deep sigh before he spoke again.

"I slept with her a week before the wedding." I felt a sharp pain in my heart when he said this. We sat in silence, his last words lingering in the air as a few tears made their way down my face but I didn't wipe them away. "What day?" Thiago didn't answer my question and I shook my head at him in disgust. "It was the day you hit me with your gun wasn't it?" His jaw clenched but he didn't speak to me, he kept his eyes on the floor, refusing to look at me which confirmed my thoughts.

"That's why you didn't speak up. You didn't want me to find out.." I spoke my thoughts out loud as all the pieces began to fall into place.

"I don't know why I did it. She just turned up out of no where with the mission of having sex with me, and I gave in. I shouldn't have but I did." I stayed silent, digesting the information.

"Why did you marry me Thiago? You had sex with your ex a week before our wedding and yet you still forced me to marry you. Then you took my virginity even though I warned you I would never forgive you if you went back to being a dick - which you did. Then you..I don't know what you planned to do when I slapped you, but I know it wasn't nice."

He looked at me with a hint of guilt in his eyes as a few more tears fell from mine. "Why would you want to hurt me this much Thiago?" He moved closer to me but I pushed him away from me. "I'm sorry Sophie." I shook my head at him. I spoke with so much anger and disgust there was no way he could think I was joking when I said my next sentence.

"I hate you Thiago."
