Edgar's P.O.V

Where did he go? Is there some kind of hidden door on the wall or something? I should have done a research on the structure of his base before jumping in here, what a fool.

Suddenly, I hear a scream from downstairs, all of my men hear it too, so I'm sure I am not imagining it, and that scream sounds similar to Phoebe's screaming, I mean they are sister and their voice aren't that different either, so I follow the screaming sound into the underground area, and as I expected, his men are there again to welcome me.

Seriously, when will they learn that they are no match for me or my man, I begin to get rid of them, one by one, and then suddenly, I feel a scratch on my arms, I turn to look at who has given me this scratch, when I feel a quick pressure on my stomach causing me to step back.

I look up and find a gorgeous black woman with short hair and skinny and tall body, she is wearing the female version of Pietro's men outfit and she has a strong hatred and coldness coming through from her eyes.

"Remember me, Edgar?" I look at her and try to observe her, and it hits me, she is the woman who used to shoot me from to rooftop and caused me the injury which Phoebe tended for me, right, I remember her as the woman who almost killed me back then.

"Uh, yeah, you shot me from the rooftop, I admit, your skill is pretty amazing, but not as great as me." I say as I pin her to the wall before choking her neck. That is for kicking me.

She slaps me and pushes me with all her strength, and when I have my guard down, she punches my face and then she pushes me so hard and kick me again, I swear I have no clue why none of my men are taking action right now, maybe they are half amused by the fact I am getting beaten by a woman, really, I need to show them the consequences later.

"You bastard! How can you forget me after what we have been through! You got me pregnant that night and I had to suffer all by myself when I lost the baby, you bastard! You don't even know you almost had a baby, you man from hell!"

Her words kind of surprised me, I don't even remember knowing her, but if what she says is the truth, I do feel sorry for it, but then again, she said she lost the baby, so it's gone, and I have nothing to do with it now.

I know, I have no heart, except for Phoebe.

She pulls out a gun, and is about to shoot me, and when my men see this, they immediately take action, and they strain the woman.

"Sorry, but you are a nuisance to me." I say as I pull out my gun and shoot her, I cannot feel anything, not even sadness or guilt, and it's better this way.

My men stare at me as if I am crazy, but of course, they should know it by now already. The woman is now starting to lose her breath and a few seconds later, she is dead.

"Let's go." I tell my men, and Matvey, the most genius one of us all, try to hack the basement door's lock which uses password and within minutes, it's opened. I barge in, and I find Pietro, surprisingly, alone, only with Phoebe's sister beside him.

She is tied in a chair, her arms and legs are tied to the chair, her mouth is wrapped with black tape, and her

"Pietro, I'm pretty sure this is another one of your trick, are there going to be men coming out from the walls again after this?"

"Well, surprisingly for me, no, it's just me, and this pretty lady right here."

"You would be a fool if you think I trust that." I pull out my gun, about to shoot him, when he pulls out his gun and put it in Phoebe's sister's head.

"You wouldn't want to hurt this pretty woman, would you? What if her sister find out about this ? Wouldn't she hate you for life?"

"Edgar, just shoot him." Viktor says from beside me, I have never hesitated in my whole life, but something about his words make me hesitate.

"Edgar, now." Matvey says with desperation, as he is about to pull out his gun as well.

Pietro laughs, and his face certainly shows a huge amusement.

"Can't do it, huh?" I can see Phoebe's sister flinch, and it pisses me off the most how someone I don't care about become a hindrance to me in getting rid of the man I despise the most in the world, just because she is a precious person for a woman I love the most in the world.

All of a sudden, there is a sound of gun being triggered, and I turn to look where it came from, and I see someone I didn't expect to see here.

"What the hell?" I can see Pietro murmurs, as he turns to look at the side of his stomach, he uses his hand to touch it, and I can see red liquid, a.k.a blood, slowly staining the side of his vest.

I take this opportunity to shoot his hand and the gun drops from it, thank goodness I am an expert shooter, and with this, I shoot Pietro, twice at the heart, and once on his stomach.

And with a final blow, I shoot his head, claiming my victory over his death.

I can't believe this day has finally come.

I finally kill him, he is lifeless and breathless now, on the floor. The great man who used to be my father's most trusted man, who betrayed him who ruined my family, who nearly killed me, and who turned me into a monster I am today, is dead.

Nikolai immediately goes and help Phoebe's sister get rid of the rope and the tape on her, while I approach the beautiful woman in front of me.

"Phoebe, what are you doing here?"
