Chapter 52: Chapter 52

Just as expected, I received a message that the Lycan king and his warriors were coming over to the royal pack house a day after what I did to Carl, Jaden's personal messenger. I knew they were definitely going to come and prove their supremacy by killing me for using the demon's forbidden magic to poison him.

What they didn't know was that I didn't just learn it myself for mere defense; I was now like the right man of the demons, and I had a very good reason to do that to Carl.

I was going to use that opportunity to bring Jaden to meet me. I want to mock him for the death of his only mate so as to push him into a battle with me. I will break his bones and tie him up.

The demons won't only rule the wolf kingdom, but we will extend our reign to the Lycan.

A bright smile spread across my face while sitting on the throne with the alpha, his daughter, and every other royal official sitting on the ground in front of me. These are the only people who know my true identity and won't dare interfere with all I do.

My demons had already started trouping secretly without the pack members' knowledge. They are all living their lives normally, thinking they have got the best and most powerful alpha to protect them.

"You said the Lycans are coming?" I asked again, grinning, while the royal messager nodded with a shaky hand and a full bow, scared to look at me.

"We will be glad to have them in. Go tell them we are waiting for their arrival. " I replied to the messager, who was puzzled at some point. The fear was visible in his eyes and the eyes of everyone in the palace.

They knew something terrible was going to happen. They were all very scared of the Lycans because of how strong they were, but they were unaware of my plans.

"The messenger just announced to us that the Lycan king was coming not with his bodyguards but with his warriors. That is nothing but a bloody war looming, yet you are acting like he was here for mere sight-seeing. What did we do wrong to incur a fight with those powerful Lycans? " The Alpha lamented, staring at me with pure terror and frustration.

"Yes," Please don't allow the fight to go on. We can't take a chance with them. " Another person was added, and I didn't care to look at who it was. Nana, on the other hand, seemed to have gone mute as she barely spoke.

It must have hit her so hard after helping a demon to destroy their pack. She must feel a lot of guilt and regret that hunts her. It wasn't my fault, but her greed and desire to have what isn't hers.

"Why are you so afraid of the lycan? They are no match for you guys, especially you. Stand your ground and defeat them. " I purred in a mocking tone, and everyone of them fell to their belly, pleading with me.

"Please, negotiate and beg them. Don't trigger war on us. They aren't our match at all, and if we don't beg and request peace with what they ask for, they will angrily bring us down to ruins. " The Alpha explained, and I couldn't help but laugh at seeing how he was fretting.

"My plan had always been to destroy this pack. The Lycans can help me and the demons to do that. After you are all shattered and only a few remain. We, the demons, won't have to stress ourselves. Isn't that a good idea? " I grinned at them and it even made them raise their voices to beg me.

It seemed they were yet to know who I was for real.

"We are pleading for your mercy. " They continued to blabber.

"Alright, you all can go back to your seats. Come and enjoy the throne with Alpha and his daughter, Nana. Ask the Lycans what they want. I just hope you will be able to give it to them when they ask for it. If not, you will have no chance but to attack. " I laughed in satisfaction before leaving the throne and walking away immediately.

I could smell demon scents all around me, making it clear that they were all taking positions in the pack. The demon king will come only to rule because, before his arrival, I would be done with the Lycans and this pack.

I made my way to the room where Ava's mother's spirit was. It was time to laugh at her again for the death of her daughter. I was sure she would be feeling the heat already. The heartbreak of losing it all to me after putting all her hope in her daughter, who was blessed with powers by the moon goddess,

Ava has failed everyone, including the moon goddess, and it is simply my time to laugh as much as I can. I am really a genius to be able to win all this. The demon king will be very proud of me.

Ava's POV

It was morning, and I wasn't feeling too fine. The feelings were really strange, and I couldn't explain them when Jaden asked me what was wrong. I just lay there trying to control the powers surging within me.

Jaden had marked me last night after our deep moment of romance. I saw how he battled with himself to break that hatred for slavery that was deep rooted in him. He broke all the odds and we actually had sex.

He marked me before we slept, and I could still feel his mark beside my neck. It had replaced the slave mark already. I planned to help the Lycan king make preparations for the fight they were going to have today, but the sudden change in my body this morning made it impossible for me as I lay there in anxiety.

I was scared because I didn't know what I was about to become. My wolf that had never talked to me or shown her existence was suddenly there, moving around. I could feel it clearly, especially her hot breath and beautiful figure.

"You can shift now." She had whispered to me this morning, but I was afraid of trying to find out.

"You are a hybrid." She had tipped again, but I was all mute to her conversation. I was still trying to understand the new development happening inside me.

My eyes closed and I went into a deep sleep.

I don't know how long, but the next thing I heard was a bang on the door that left it flinging open. I jolted up and all I saw was an enraged and extremely furious Jaden sweating and puffing. His eyes were pure red, blazing with great anger.

"So Aurora really wanted to fight with me alone." That was why she and her demons trapped my parents and warriors, torturing them and sending the pictures and videos to us while daring me to come and save them!" His voice sounded like thunder as he said all this to me.

Instead of getting scared as always when Aurora's name was mentioned, I became angry instead and felt the two beasts in me rise as they howled. The sound of their howls was transferring something so powerful all through my body through my veins, and as I stepped out of the bed, I found myself growling as I began to shift.

It wasn't painful at all, just as I was told, and I didn't turn into an animal form. I only developed sharp fangs and claws. My back was seared on both sides and something began to grow in a rush. I didn't know what it was till Jaden gasped the word "wings."

I just grew wings, which I easily flapped. I was breathing heavily and sparks of fire were coming out of my nose like a dragon. My bones were now very hard like rock and I could feel the rigidity of my muscles. All this can't be compared to the extreme magical powers I felt inside me.

The confinement was broken and the two beasts seemed to have merged into something enormous.

My hair was now like fine gold, cascading down my back like a waterfall, and all I could feel was a burning desire to kill every demon on the planet.

My eyes were tight shut all this time, and when I opened them, I saw Jaden running away from me. He ran away, not in fear of what I had become, but of the horror of two enemies meeting each other.

He was so sure I would hurt him if he stayed back. The great pull of force swayed me off my feet as I flapped my wing, springing out with the speed of light. Killing Aurora was all that was ringing in my head.
