Chapter 51: Chapter 51
Chapter 50
Red Adamson ~
“Charlie, I know those lycans and calling the cops for protection or whatever you think they can offer wouldn’t be enough but neither would arguing work.”
“If Cassius actually possessed the mind of their leader, that means that nowhere is safe for us. We just need to create a long distance between us and them and the more we keep this whole thing to ourselves, the better because human and lycans were never created to meet….”
“I’ve had enough of this!” I yelled so loud that my voice echoed back to me. “Gar, pull the car over! Mom, I’m not going to run anymore until I know exactly what is after me and why. Everything that has happened this night ever since Gar placed his lips on mine have been nothing but confusing and I want answers. Why?”
“You have to tell us everything! You have to tell me everything!” I said with all urgency inscribed on my face.
So many unbelievable things have been happening and I want to know, why? I can’t take it anymore. It’s just a matter of time before things get even more complicated. My mom has to tell me what is going on. She needs to let go of whatever she claims to have been hiding from me. Everything that’s happening right now makes me wish that this was all a nightmare and I was about to awake from it.
Following my words, Gar slowly pulled over by the side of the road.
“You’re right! You deserve to know the truth! You deserve to know it all!” My mom said as the engine of the car came to a rest. “Gar, you remember that abandoned warehouse just by the theatre that your mom had her car parked at on the day she took yourself and Red for shopping?”
“Yeah, what about it?”
“Take us there. If you can get us there, in time, I would be able to tell Red all what she is yet to know about herself. If I can get her in unity with her true self, we can say goodbye to those lycans and their troubles.”
“What about Ryan? Isn’t he….” Charlie began.
“He’ll be fine. Cassius won’t kill him or hurt him. He definitely won’t risk the chance of having Ryan’s supernatural powers all to himself.”
“We’re not driving!” I said seeing Gar trying to put the car in ignition mode again.
“I’m going to try doing what I did back at the infirmary at school. If I have freakish powers, it’s high time I began putting them to good use besides, we won’t have much time before those lycans would have caught up with us if we travel by road.” I said looking at my mom straight in eyes.
I looked at her in a manner that suggested that I was seeking her approval. All she did was nod her head.
Hopefully, this time, my powers are going to show some light. I can’t waste the time my mom would have used to tell me everything on driving. A teleportation spell is the only way to get there as fast as possible. It would buy us some time before those lycans get to our necks again.
“For a starting which such as yourself, it’s not going to be easy but….”
“I’ve got it!” I closed my eyes and tried to replay the occurrences that took place back at the infirmary right before we left connecting to deepest part of the inner me. “Hang on!” I said right before I snapped my fingers and re-opened my eyes.
“You did it! You actually did it!” Gar exclaimed as he got out of the car and scanned the perimeter of inside the warehouse with his eyes.
It was quite spacious. It looked like an abandoned and rusty place. No one must have been here in years judging by the cobwebs but the lights seemed to work just fine.
“How did you…. What...”
“I have no idea mom but that’s why we’re here. So you can tell me all you said you have been hiding away from me all these years.” I said cutting my mom short of words.
My mom heaved a sigh and told Charlie to seal the entrances and exits out of the warehouse with the piles of old wood that were stacked up at certain places in the warehouse. In time, Gar and Charlie sealed them shut from the insides and they were back in the car with Gar holding some back up weapons.
“I’m sorry! I had to keep so many things secret from you.” My mom began putting my hands in hers and looking straight in my eyes.
“You have to listen carefully to every word I say.”
“For starters, your birth name isn’t Red Adamson. I gave you that name when I brought you into this world. Your birth name is ELENA. You are Elena Claw Wolfs, daughter of King Leonard Wolfs and Queen Alessia Claw, The Crown Princess of the Lycan kingdom.” She said with courtesy and the way she did made me think that she expected that I would be happy.
I was but that happiness wasn’t as big as I thought it would be. I was the crown princess of the lycan kingdom? I felt so many emotions all at once presiding all was anxiety. I tried to bring up a smile. The truth seems to be more interesting than I thought it would be. Who would have thought that someone like me has a destiny so… magical?
“So my name isn’t Red? Wow! That’s going to take some time to get used to. I am Elena.”
“It’s a very beautiful name.” my mom said with a smile on her face.
“That makes sense considering the fact that when I was on stage with Ryan, after my lycan appearance glitch, Ryan asked me specifically if I was ‘Elena’.” “I didn’t know so I denied having such name.” I said putting my palm on my head.
“You can’t be blamed for that.”
