"The fuck?! Don’t break down on me you accursed system! I nearly died and when it’s time for you to deliver, you want to go out on me?! You better not play rough with me." Zen roared as he glared at the system screen in front of him, fuming with immense anger.

Suddenly, the screen changed and a laughing emoji was displayed in front of him for a few seconds.

Zen clutched his chest as he fell on his backside heaving a sigh of relief. Blood still dripping down his mouth.

"You nearly gave me a heartache." He mumbled in anger as he changed the screen to see the rewards he was given.

"Bomboclat!" Zen thundered in shock as he shot out of where he sat a moment ago. He rubbed his eyes continuously as if he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

And that was because he couldn’t actually believe it. The system was been overly generous with him. For the past month he got the system, he has never seen such an exuberant reward from the system before.

This was the first time, he was seeing such. And that was because the system was stingy on a normal. It barely scraped out rewards for him and now, he was recieving such a huge reward?

"Yoo! It’s actually real! The system gave me the rewards truly. Fuck! I leveled up twice from it, and in the process, looks like I got a plus two points to all stats with each level up. Damn it! System, you have just gone and outdone yourself to be honest.

With these stats, I don’t think that B ranked beasts would be a problem to me anymore. Now this is a stat befitting a true B ranked Reaver." Zen chuckled loudly as he clenched his hands in and out and the difference in it was massive.

Too massive that he decided to put it to the test. He carefully walked to the boss’ carcass, crouched down and extracted it’s core and when he was done, he jerked his leg back for a second as a grin flashed across his face.

"This is for nearly killing me!" He yelled as he swung his leg forward with all his might causing a small bang to be heard as if a gun was shot.

His leg smashed into the beast’s side with all the strength he had causing a much more louder bang to echo out as its body went flying several metres away. Ten metres away to be precise.

"Woah! That was fun." He grinned widely.

"Just know that you are next if I get my hands on you." Zen scoffed as he turned back to his rewards. "Show me my new skills."

[Description: Lets host scan an opponent’s skill/ability and instantly copy a weakened version (say 30–50% power) for just ten minutes.]

"System, please tell me that what I’m seeing here is really real." Zen called out with a wide grin on his face as he was already imagining what he could do with this single skill.

"Did you just get married? Because firstly, it looks like you are in a good mood with all these rewards about getting married and secondly, you sound irritated. Is your wife nagging you? Because trust me, humans do suffer that a lot." Zen chuckled at his own poor joke.

"Sheesh! Sounds like your wife is really giving you a tough time huh. Best of luck my friend." Zen muttered with a slight smirk on his face as he fully turned his gaze to the system.

’Right! You said something about me receiving a second veil skill. I mean, it’s about time because I noticed something. This game lord dude is running this whole world in a systematic format.

Reavers might not have a system, but this world sure does has one. Because when one becomes a C ranker and awakens their veil, they get a single skill. No matter how hard they push, they aren’t able to get another.

Only when they officially rank up and have the strength to back their rank up, do they get another skill. Automatically because tell me how Jace became a B ranker and instantly knows how to use another skill as if it was second nature to him.

And I became a B ranked a few days ago but no second skill and now, I just got it. Hmm! If this world truly functions like a system, there should be a way to break the rules of the game. But how can I do that? When the game lord controls all.’

Zen paused for a few seconds as he read through this and unconsciously, a smile flashed across his face at what he was seeing.

"Now this is a convenient skill. I don’t have to activate the other one and cancel out every single person’s veil around me. With this, I can cancel out a specific veil only based on contact.

And it costs less compared to the other skill. Mehn! This system has just lifted my mood. Let’s return back because this was well worth it." Zen yawned with a wide grin on his face as he began walking away while fantasizing about who would be unlucky to cross his path at his current strength.
