Chapter 14: Chapter 14
Kevin drove Laura back home,the ride back home was quiet,laura was looking out the window,she didn't want to look at Kevin right now because only being close to him was intoxicating her,she didn't want to even imagine what would have happened back there if she hadn't stopped him.
They arrived the mansion and Laura got out of the car, Kevin also got out of the car to see her off
"Um so.....?" He began but was cut off by Laura
"Kevin please don't say anything" she said,he just nodded at her request
"I'll be leaving in a week" she continued taking Kevin by surprise
"Laura if its because of what happened earlier,I'm..."
"It's not that Kevin, I already made that decision, I'm only letting you know so I don't leave without your knowledge"
Laura noticed that Kevin's eyes were already saddened, she felt deeply hurt,she sighed deeply and said
"So I don't think we would be seeing after tonight because I'd be really busy tidying up some things at the company"
Kevin was already clenching his teeth trying to hold back his tears
"Goodnight" was the only thing he said making Laura feel hurt because she sincerely wanted him to say something more like stopping her from leaving, her eyes betrayed her as a tear that she was trying to hold back rolled down her cheek. She walked closer to Kevin,their noses only inches apart,she stared into his eyes hoping he'd beg her to stay but he said nothing. Laura planted a soft kiss at the corner of his lips,she let the kiss linger for a awhile before whispering goodnight and walking into the mansion.
Kevin remained at the spot where he stood,he wanted her back in his life,he needed her so bad but at the same time he didn't want to ruin her present relationship because he knew if it hadn't been because of him they'd still be together.

"Do you really have to go?" Laura's mom asked her with a sad face
"Mom I've been with you for two months now,my company needs me and so does Scott" Laura replied while putting on her underwear,the maids were already taking her luggage's downstairs
"I'm really lonely here" her mom said,Laura walked up to her mom and gave her a hug
"Mom I'll come visit. I promise" she said into the hug
"That's a promise you just made,so you better keep it" her mom replied with a chuckle,Laura just rolled her eyes and went back to putting on the rest of her outfit,she wore black skinny pants and a nude pink blouse with matching heels and purse,she wrapped her hair in a bun and put on a light makeup.
When she was done dressing Laura and her mom walked out of her room,when coming down the stairs the driver informed Laura that the car was ready
"There will be no need for that"
Laura was startled by that voice,she couldn't believe she was still going to see Kevin before she leaves,she turned towards the direction of the voice and saw him staring directly at her
"Kevin!" She exclaimed
"I figured it won't be a bad idea to drop you off at the airport" he continued
Laura kept staring at him,her feelings were mixed up,seeing Kevin right in front of her offering to give her a ride made her wonder if leaving was a right choice, her mom broke the sudden silence
"Honey,what are you still waiting for? Go on so you don't miss your flight" that brought Laura out of her thoughts,she gave her mom a goodbye hug and left with Kevin. They got to the airport and Laura thanked him
"I'll give you a call from time to time to know how you're fairing, okay?" Kevin said
"Okay" Laura replied,just moments later they heard the announcement that the flight to New Orleans was ready for departure, Laura felt sad,she turned and gave Kevin a hug,the hug was longer than she planned because she didn't want to let go,after finally releasing herself from the hug she said a final goodbye before boarding the plane.
