''I chose you for life,
I promise to be faithful to you,
I promise to love you
To commit to you and support you
My heart will be your shelter
And my arms will be your home.'' - www.thebridalbox.com
Azura's POV
Two weeks passed since we returned from our little vacation. Amelia delivered a beautiful baby boy and we all went to visit her at the hospital.
I was busy with my new job as a trainee in the event management team at Parkland Manor. After returning home, we announced our wedding plans to the entire family. Mom and dad wanted us to get married after two months instead of one as Amelia was about to deliver soon.
We decided to host our wedding on the sprawling lawns of Parkland Manor. It was the place where we met, where we worked and where our dreams came true. So Parkland Manor held a special place in our hearts. Since Anna and Amelia had just given birth, they couldn't travel far with their newborn babies. Cassie was pregnant and wouldn't be able to go far, with Max to take care of too. A date was fixed after two months and we booked the entire hotel for four days.
We the event management team would be arranging everything for my wedding. Mom coordinated with us. Since Amelia was still recovering from childbirth, my entire wedding collection would be designed by Noah and Denver.
My online classes were also progressing well. Nana and the twins were excited too. Adrian took the twins to the shopping mall while I was at work. They were excited to wear their new outfits for the wedding.
Emmy would be my maid of honor and Theo and Xander would be Adrian's best men. He couldn't choose between them. Claire, Anna, Amelia, Cassandra, and Savannah were my bridesmaids while Jason, Stefan, Tristan, and Julian were Adrian's groomsmen. Crystal would be my flower girl while Zach and Max would be my ring bearer. Adrian already bought them their special dresses. Nana, mom, and dad would walk me down the aisle.
I was excited about my wedding but relaxed at the same time. Adrian and I talked about my plans for the wedding every day. He also gave me his suggestions. Sometimes he came down from the head office to check our progress. Dad was a frequent visitor, he took an active interest in organizing my wedding. We had a blast tasting different specialty dishes and selecting the menu for the reception party. He also took me to select my wedding gown. Noah thought he was my biological father, I didn't correct him though. Dad loved me just like my father did when he was alive.
As the days progressed, and the preparations were nearly complete, down to the last detail, I was more relaxed. Gran, nana, and the twins came down too to check out my wedding venue.
Four days prior to our wedding, we all shifted to Parkland Manor. Everyone appreciated the effort that we put in to decorate the place giving the whole garden area a romantic look and feel with abundant flowers decorating the venue, along with draped chiffon, candles, and fairy lights.
The color theme was white, soft grey, and light blush, which we carried out throughout the decorations.
The wedding ceremony would take place on the sprawling lawns. We created a beautiful floral wall at the end, facing the aisle. It was completely green with ferns and the top of the wall was stuffed with white and light blush buds with grey tulle fabric bunched in between. It would serve as a backdrop when we exchanged vows and later serve as a beautiful backdrop for the wedding photoshoot. There was a small wall waterfall opposite the floral wall. Large vases fitted with floating candles set the romantic mood at the ceremony along the aisle.
The reception would be hosted at the banquet hall of the hotel. We placed blush floral centerpieces on tall gold stands to bring about a romantic feel to the reception party area. At the head table, we placed a breathtaking backdrop consisting of blush draping and three white wainscot panels decorated with orchids, hydrangeas, and roses. At the center of the room was a personalized dance floor monogrammed with Adrian's and my name.
My bridal shower party was held on the second-floor terrace. We had a big blast. This time we included the whole family, even the men. So we all had fun, dancing, and singing and everyone gave me wonderful gifts. Dad also performed a song on his ukulele for me. All the boys danced along with Max. It was a unique performance.
Mom, nana, and gran danced for me too. The twins also recited a poem dedicated to me. Anna, Amelia, and Claire came with their cutie pies and made the event so memorable. Adrian also sang a beautiful old evergreen number, "Nothing's gonna change my love for you" by Glenn Madeiros. I felt so special and cherished that I felt tears of happiness prick my eyes.
The next day they all hosted a pre-wedding party for us. It was another memorable moment of my life. Dad and I checked out the food preparations for the party as usual. This time Adrian too joined us. We received lots of wonderful gifts. The twins bonded well with Arielle, Stefan's daughter, and Alexander, Claire's firstborn.
Adrian and I went to bed and talked so much. It was our last night together as an engaged couple. Tomorrow we would be a married couple and embark on a lifelong journey together, with more responsibilities, more hardships, career, children, and everything that came with marriage, but I wasn't complaining. I am ready to experience life with Adrian.
The next day, I woke up early. It was our wedding day. Emmy got me ready in an organza ivory white a-line gown with a jeweled belt. It had an alluring v-neck and was backless with appliques all over.
Nana gave me a ruby and diamond pendant which belonged to my great nana. Gran gave me a pair of beautiful ruby and diamond earrings that matched my gown and nana's pendant. How exactly I'm not sure about.
Claire and Cassandra helped with my hair and makeup. Savannah and Anna got the twins and Max ready while mom fixed my veil. Amelia looked on giving suggestions while carrying her one-month-old baby boy in her arms.
Dad came in to escort me to the venue for the wedding ceremony. "Let's get you married," he said as I nodded. He held out his arm for me to take and I placed my hand in the crook of his arm, ready to go.
We all left together. The music played and Crystal walked in followed by Zach and Max, then went Emmy and then my bridesmaids looking fabulous in ivory off-shoulder gowns.
"It's time Azzee," said nana as she, mom, and dad walked me down the aisle. Adrian stood at the end, looking like a dashing prince in his charcoal grey tuxedo. Only he was my dashing prince. As the ceremony progressed, I really couldn't believe that I was finally getting married. I had never ever imagined I would marry like a normal girl and settle down. Adrian made it possible and I was forever indebted to God Almighty for making my destiny of love happen.
After our wedding, we went through the reception party like robots and then escaped to our haven, the hotel suite especially reserved for our wedding night. Tomorrow we'll be leaving for Bali for a seven-day honeymoon trip.
