Chapter 83: Chapter 83

''As you dissolve into love, your ego fades. You're not thinking of loving; you're just being in love, radiating warmth like the sun.'' - Rituparna Darolia

Azura's POV

A whole week passed by and my casting was taken off thankfully but I was put on crutches. I didn't join work yet as Adrian strictly didn't want me to. I was getting bored at home so Adrian took me to see Max. He was ecstatic to see me and hugged me tightly."Are you a superhero?" he asked me as I laughed.

"No sweetie, I'm not a superhero, I'm just your aunt Azura,"

"Ok, aunty zura, you're the best, " he said, stealing my heart with his adorable words and I kissed him.

Cassie was better and chatted a lot. She was just two years older than I was, yet she had been through so much in life. We bonded so well that it would seem that I had known her and Max all my life.

By the next weekend, I was much better and could walk without support and joined work too, much to Adrian's disapproval. Cassie and Julian announced their wedding plans to the whole family over dinner. Mom wanted me to help her with the wedding preparations as Anna, Amelia and Cassandra were pregnant. I happily helped her as that was what I loved the most.

The wedding would take place at mom and dad's Southampton home and we were busy with the wedding preparations for the whole month.

Despite my busy schedule, I completed my semester and Adrian completed his MBA as well. We had performed well so we treated each other to a lavish dinner, which I prepared. I invited Nana, the twins, mom, and dad to our celebrations.

"I'm really proud of the two of you," said mom, while nana beamed at me, her eyes shining with appreciation.

"Thank you, mom," I said while Adrian pulled his collars up and demanded gifts from his parents. Of course, he later took us out in the brand new BMW which was his gift from his parents.

Five days prior to the wedding, we reached mom and dad's house in Southampton. The house looked beautiful in the glowing light of the setting sun, with an all-white painted gazebo built at the end of a paved pathway, just as I had suggested.

Decorative lights and foliage were being installed everywhere. Lots of white chairs and tables were present beside the gazebo, to be arranged later. White, plum, and purple-colored tulle fabric were being bunched and fixed together with artificial floral garlands. It was mom's and my suggestion that plum and purple would look better than the pink and white combination as suggested by the decorators.

A tent was being fixed on the lawn overlooking the private beach for the reception party. We wanted a covered reception area as it was pretty windy and our hairstyles would be damaged. Mom and I giggled at our reasoning while the decorators gave in finally. A grand entrance was being constructed too for the tented reception party area with curtains elegantly pulled back by foliage and accented by topiaries and candles.

Adrian appreciated my efforts looking around, taking in every detail."It's decided, you'll decorate our wedding venue too," he said suddenly as I stared at him open-mouthed.

"Our wedding?" I asked trying to confirm what he said.

"Yeah," he said as he greeted mom's gardener.

"You didn't ask," I said confusedly.

"I will soon babe," he said grinning as I smiled.

I knew in my heart that we were meant to be together. My heart was happy and with a smile on my face, I helped mom with the preparations. Tomorrow was the bridal shower and gran wanted to perform a dance with me. We both practiced when the others were busy with something or the other. We hurriedly got ready, I wore an ocean blue maxi dress with a jeweled neckline, cinched at the waist, accentuating my figure while gran wore a white version of the same dress. We had floral hair accessories matching our dresses.

My eyes popped out seeing Adrian, Stefan, Tristan, Jason, and Julian too sitting amidst the audience. We were supposed to dance for the women, how did they come in? The music was played and we swayed and danced in perfect harmony and synchronization. Adrian's constant hot gaze embarrassed me as Claire, Amelia, Cassandra, and Anna kept on teasing Adrian.

After our performance, the men performed for us dancing perfectly to DJ Snake and Justin Bieber's song, "Let me love you."

"When did you guys practice?" Asked Claire puzzled.

"It was gran's idea, and we all practiced yesterday night after you people went off to sleep," Stefan said as Claire glared at him.

"Not fair, you left me out," she grumbled.

"You dance at my wedding, sis," Adrian said with a wink as he turned to stare at me.

"When's your wedding, Addy?" Claire asked grinning as she too turned towards me.

"Soon, soon," he said as I excused myself and escaped to the bathroom. Adrian too followed me and they all chuckled.

"How was my dance?" He asked trapping me against the wall, outside the bathroom.

"It was good, how was mine?" I asked as he traced his fingers along my jawline.

"Your's was ravishing, were you tempting me babe? You have succeeded. I want to ravish you now," he said as I nodded, and blushing, I pushed him away and went inside the bathroom.

The next day was the pre-wedding party hosted jointly for both Cassandra and Julian together. We had fun events, musical chairs, karaoke, and more. At everyone's request, Adrian strummed the guitar and sang an old soulful number by Richard Marx, "Right here waiting for you." With his eyes fixed upon me as he sang putting his heart, soul, and emotions everything into the song, I was more in love with him than before.

On the day of the wedding, it was my responsibility to get Cassandra ready. Mom congratulated me on my efforts. Finally, they got married and I took care of Max for a while as he loved spending time with me.

After the wedding, they went home but Anna was due for delivery, her water bag broke and she was in pain. Stefan panicked, but mom sought my help and we both called the ambulance and took her to the hospital just in time. We were over the moon when she delivered twin babies.

After a hectic week, Adrian and I went back home.
