Chapter 80: Chapter 80

''I love you more than any word can say, I love you more than every action I take, I'll be right here loving you till the end.'' - quotesgram.com

Azura's POV

I was very excited for Emmy. We planned her wedding down to the last detail. I was her maid of honor, so I coordinated with her and Theo's mom, aunt Seraphina to make arrangements for the wedding.

The wedding was taking place in the backyard of their huge sprawling mansion at Carnegie Hill. Theo lived with his parents since his father was unwell, recovering from a severe lung problem. Theo's brother too stayed with them. It was a magnificent four-storeyed building, with his parents occupying a whole floor. Theo also had a floor solely for him while his brother lived on the top floor.

Aunt Seraphina had hired the decorators and they coordinated with us.

"Azura, you're really good at event management dear," said aunt Seraphina as I blushed and thanked her.

"Seriously, why don't you pursue it?" She asked.

"I'm studying an undergraduate course in Culinary Arts," I said as aunt Seraphina nodded in understanding.

"You can always do a short-term course on event Management. You have bright prospects in it, dear. Mark my words," she said as I considered her advice.

"Ok aunt Seraphina, I will research the short-term courses," I said as she smiled appreciatively. I seriously wanted to consider her suggestion since I have always loved organizing such events.

The decorations came out well, just as I had suggested, and even Emmy nodded appreciatively. So did the menu, the cake, the floral decor, and the invitation cards. The wedding dresses for all had already been delivered by Noah and Denver.

I took nana and the twins to Emmy's bridal shower, which was organized by aunt Seraphina and me at their mansion. Theo, Adrian, and Xander didn't leave the mansion for a second. They were somewhere upstairs, I didn't know where. Emmy invited her bestie from work, Savannah Russell, who was doing an internship as an accountant at Theo's office.

She was a gorgeous woman of twenty-two with thick blonde, shoulder-length, wavy hair and light brown eyes and a model-like figure with a height to die for, nearly 5ft 9inches.

We both danced for Emmy, and she too joined us in our dance. Crystal and Zachary were busy playing hide and seek and running upstairs every now and then. We gave gifts to Emmy and had a delicious brunch as all the guests started to leave. They were Theo's relatives and aunt Seraphina's friends.

After the event, aunt Seraphina took nana to a room to rest as she updated nana about the wedding preparations. Emmy and I as well as Savannah carried the gifts to her would-be room upstairs.

Our eyes popped out to see the three musketeers, Theo, Adrian and Xander sitting hooked to Theo's laptop, watching a recording of our dance.

We went red with embarrassment, so that was what they were up to.

"Hey, that's us," said Emmy. Theo whirled around and the moment he saw Emmy, he quickly shut his laptop down. "You pervs were watching us?" She asked narrowing her eyes.

"Cool down baby, it was Adrian's idea," he said as I narrowed my eyes at Adrian.

He held up his hands, "Why didn't aunt Seraphina allow us? We wouldn't have to watch you this way!" He shrugged as if what he was doing wasn't at all creepy.

"Where is it written that men can't attend bridal showers?" Said Xander, "We all love the bride, so why can't we be there?"

Theo cleared his throat. "Only I get to love the bride," he said threateningly.

"Chill dude, I only meant as my sister," Xander said grinning. "Emmy, won't you introduce me to your friend?" He asked eyeing Savannah as he came forward to take the heavy packages from her hands.

She blushed and said, "I can manage, thanks."

Emmy dumped hers and mine too upon him, "We can't manage, thanks bro," she said grinning. "Meet my bestie, Savannah Russell. She's doing an internship as an accountant at Theo's office," she introduced.

"This is Xander Flores, Theo's best friend. That's Adrian Henderson, he's Azura's boyfriend," she said as Savannah smiled at me.

"Please could you keep the gifts in the walk-in closet?" Emmy said as Xander grinned walking to the closet with an awkward Savannah.

We stayed till the afternoon and then left for home. Theo dropped Emmy, nana, and the twins while Xander dropped Savannah.

There was no bachelorette party as Emmy didn't want one, so two days before the wedding day, I brought nana, Emmy, and the twins home to Adrian's house, as it was nearer to the wedding venue and we wanted to bond together more.

After work, we went to a spa and groomed ourselves for the big day. When we returned, Adrian was at Theo's house, and nana and the twins were asleep, so Emmy and I sat down with a can of beer on the wrap-around terrace of Adrian's penthouse, watching the lights strewn all around the city and the sparkling water of the Hudson at night.

"Theo's hurrying so much with the wedding that I'm scared," Emmy said as I looked at her.

"You both really love each other, don't you?" I asked.

"Yeah, we do. But I'm scared of the wedding night." She said fiddling with her fingers.

"You didn't do the deed yet?" I asked surprised at her statement.

"No, I'm scared, I don't want to do anything before my wedding. Theo's frustrated with me, I don't know what to do," she said as big fat teardrops fell from her eyes.

"Emmy, hush honey. It's okay." I said hugging her, "Look, Theo is a good guy. He loves you. He's marrying you. Physical relationship is an essential part of your life. You have to open up to him. It won't hurt much, believe me. You will love it." I told her as she nodded.

"Are you sure?" She asked.

"Yes. Just relax and enjoy your beautiful relationship with Theo. Don't disappoint him. He already has a lot to worry about, with his dad being unwell. Give him the happiness he deserves, Emmy," I said and she nodded.

"Yeah, I know, I will. Thanks, Azzee. I'm glad that we talked," she said squeezing my hands.

Her wedding was a really emotional moment as nana allowed a few tears of happiness to slip down her cheeks. Crystal looked lovely as the flower girl and Zach looked handsome as ever as the ring boy. I was the maid of honor and Savannah was her bridesmaid. We wore beautiful lavender off-shoulder gowns as we walked down after Crystal and Zach.

Adrian and Xander stood beside Theo as his groomsmen and Theo's brother was his best man.

After the wedding ceremony, they went to get blessings from Theo's dad who was confined to his bed until his condition improved. He saw the whole ceremony on CCTV.

After a short photography session, we had a formal reception, and then after reminding Emmy about our discussion, we left. Nana and the twins stayed with us, till the twins would have to return to school.
