Azura's POV

I lay on my bed for nearly two long hours but couldn't sleep, twisting and turning every five minutes. I was so used to cuddling into him that I couldn't sleep without his warmth. 'Oh, Adrian what have you done to me?' I just couldn't help the self-pity. The whole day's excitement waned off and now I was missing Adrian more than I ever imagined I would. Was he missing me too? I didn't have his number. I am such a fool since I should have taken his number at least before he left.

"Azzee, count sheep. You'll give me a sleepless night too. I have a date tomorrow with Theo," mumbled a sleepy Emmy.

"Sorry, I'm trying," I said awkwardly.

"Missing Adrian? Why don't you call him?" she said sleepily.

Suddenly my phone buzzed with a message from an unknown number. Checking, I saw that it was a message from Adrian. Smiling happily I read what he wrote,

Can't sleep? - A

No, you? - Az

No. I'm missing you - A

Me too - Az

Where did you get my number from? - Az

Theo asked Emerald, she gave - A

I sat there surprised. Emmy didn't tell me she gave my number to him already! I smiled at her sweetness.

Smiling and dreaming about him I went to sleep, a lot happier than I was before.

The next day I went to work as usual. Bob came to collect me as I had instructed him to. Emerald also came along with me. I dropped her in front of Theo's office before going to my cafe.

By evening, I was eager to go home to nana's apartment and sleep. Emerald had a date and she was busy getting ready when I entered my room.

"Azzee, you have to come with us," she said while putting on the navy blue dress that I gave her.

"No way, why would I? It's your date," I said surprised that she could even suggest it.

"Theo's friend Xander's coming and they both insisted that I ask you to come along," she said but I shook my head.

"I'm tired Emmy, you go ahead. I'll sleep," I said but she rummaged through my luggage and fished out a beautiful red full-sleeved dress for me.

"Wear this and get ready. I'm not going without you," she insisted as she pushed me to the bathroom to freshen up.

I took a quick shower and wore the dress and got ready. Theo rang the doorbell and we drove off. Theo took us to an upscale restaurant with a contemporary look and friendly service. He had booked us a private dining space with a huge six-seater table and plush seating arrangements.

As we were shown to our table, a tall, blonde-haired man with light blue eyes walked into our space and greeted Theo with a grin and a fist bump.

"Ladies meet Xander Flores, Adrian's, and my third musketeer, our childhood buddy," said Theo as Xander grinned at us.

He held my hand and kissed my knuckles before I could remove my hand from his. "What's your name, love?" he asked staring at me while I looked at Theo for help. However, before I could say a single word, a booming voice echoed in the small dining space. "Hands off her Xander, she's mine. Only mine."

I gasped at the sound of his voice. Am I dreaming or was he really back? He said he would come back in three days. Still, in a daze, I turned around, and there stood my Adrian, looking sinfully gorgeous in a navy blue suit. My eyes met his and time stood still for the two of us. He came out of his momentary daze and opened his arms for me. I flew into his arms and hugged him tightly, sinking my face into his chest as I breathed in his smell. He caught me to him, crushing me to him.

"Aren't you guys cute?" said Emerald as I blushed crimson realizing that we were not alone.

"Xander, this is Azura Hayes, my girlfriend," said Adrian as Xander's eyes widened in realization.

"I didn't know bro. No offense. Guys this is torture. Emmy find me, someone, please. I also want to settle down and produce lots of children," he said as we all laughed.

Apparently, Theo had invited us all tonight to announce his wedding plans.

"Guys, Emerald and I have decided to take our relationship to another level. We are getting married next month," he said as we all cheered and shouted our congratulations.

"So, my parents have fixed the date for the 6th of next month, I want you both to be my groomsmen. My brother Daxton will be my best man," he said. "So, just mark the date and be free two days before and after."

"Aye aye captain," said Xander as he asked Emmy. "Do you have any other cousins?"

"No, only Azura here," she said as Xander's face fell.

"I have beautiful and single friends though," she said as Xander's spirits soared higher and he grinned.

"You really do? Great, I'll go get the best tux for the wedding then," he said as we all laughed.

We ate a lavish dinner. It was Theo's treat and we enjoyed the meal and discussed their wedding plans. Adrian sat by my side with his hand on my thigh as he stroked me slowly.

He wiped the cream off my lips after the dessert and licked it off his thumb. I blushed as Xander choked on his drink. Theo simply chuckled and stared at Emerald while she looked away.

Finally, dinner was over and we all went to nana's apartment to collect my stuff and go back home with Adrian.

The twins were asleep, and we kissed nana and left for home.

"You were supposed to come tomorrow?" I asked him as he drove.

"Yeah, Theo wanted to announce his wedding plans. I was about to miss it but when he said you were also coming, I just wrapped up fast and came back," he said as he glanced at me, his eyes sweeping over my entire body, settling on my mouth and neckline and then finally on the road.

We reached home in record time and parking his car he escorted me up the elevator to our apartment. Once inside, he just locked the main door and dropped all the luggage near the door, and picking me up bridal style, carried me to the bedroom.

He put me down on the bed and followed me there, hovering over me, his eyes holding my gaze.

"I've missed you so much," he said with raw emotions reflected in his.

"I've missed you more," I said as his mouth claimed mine in a searingly hot kiss.
