Chapter 90: Chapter 90

Amelia's POV

"I'm Julian and this is my twin, Adrian," said the one who resembled Tristan, extending his hand for a shake. Before I could put my hand into his for a shake, he was pushed aside and Tristan caught hold of my hand glaring at Julian. I stood gaping at him. Where did he come from?

"Easy bro, I was just introducing myself," he said cheekily, winking at me.

"Don't you dare," growled Tristan, although his eyes flashed playfully and I knew that he was just kidding with his brother.

Stefan came forward as Anna and Audrey giggled at all the drama. I blushed crimson, trying to extricate my poor hand from Tristan's iron-like grip. Was it always like this between them? Strangely, I loved Tristan's possessiveness as it showed that he did care about me. "Boys, cut it. Can we go ahead with the fitting?" said Audrey, and they all groaned and came forward to follow me into the trial room.

I cleared my throat and looked at them awkwardly. "The men's trial room is that way but you guys aren't trying on anything. So you can wait here till we're through," I told them but how could I budge an inch with Tristan's hand gripping mine?

I tried to extricate my hand and follow Anna and Audrey to the trial room but Tristan held on as if wanting to say something to me. I looked up into his eyes, gesturing to him to leave me, but he stayed rooted to the spot, much to my embarrassment. Thankfully Anna noticed my predicament since the others were too busy checking out the clothes and accessories on display.

"Tris, I won't keep her long," Anna said with a chuckle as she came towards me. Tristan let me go with a wink, his eyes never leaving mine for a second.

I turned beet red by now and rushed inside with Anna and Audrey while the men got busy with the tuxedos on display. All except Tristan of course.

Suddenly the door opened and two beautiful women came in breathlessly.

"Sorry mom, we got late. Alexander was so cranky today," said one of them who had electric blue eyes and deep chocolate-colored shoulder-length hair and resembled Anna's fiancé. She then turned to me and recognition flashed across her face. "Sorry, you must be Amelia, I'm Stefan's twin, Claire, and this is Cassandra, Julian's girlfriend. I'm the maid of honor and she is her bridesmaid," she said breathlessly with a smile on her face.

"Hi, just a moment. I'll get your dresses too," I said and I asked Cadence to get everyone's dresses. Everyone eagerly tried on the dresses as I watched nervously. Would they like my designs?

Anna looked angelic in her wedding dress, even Audrey had tears of happiness in her eyes. They loved the design and I was glad. However, I felt envious of Anna as I also wanted Tristan to acknowledge me just like Stefan did. I also wanted to get married and settle down and have a family. I was tired of watching lovely brides parade in my gowns, although it was my passion to create exclusive dresses to please them.

After the fitting, I noted the alterations neatly and left the file in the trial room, and followed them outside. Immediately Stefan came forward, taking Anna's hands and pecking her mouth lovingly. My eyes wandered towards Tristan who was again staring intently at me like I was his prey. My cheeks flushed with color under his minute scrutiny.

Audrey might have sensed my plight and raised an eyebrow at Tristan and then looked at me with a smile. "Amelia, I want you to be one of the bridesmaids. Design a dress for yourself just like the one you did for Cassandra," Audrey said, holding my hand. "I know it's short notice, but we would love to have you with us and celebrate this joyous occasion with our family," she added. My heart somersaulted with happiness thinking that I could spend more time with Tristan.

Anna grinned and said, "Please say yes, Amy." I was tongue-tied with the whole family looking at me expectantly.

"Of course, she'll be attending. She'll be your bridesmaid," said Tristan looking at me, coaxing me to agree which I would have anyway.

"Yeah, I will be honored. Thanks for inviting me," I said gratefully.

"Great, that's settled then? When will we have the second fitting, Amy dear?" Audrey asked.

"We can have it next Tuesday, same time?" I asked her. I wondered if Tristan would accompany them or not. I wanted to see him again so badly. Did he wish to see me too?

"Yeah, fine, that suits us," she confirmed.

"Yeah, suits me too," said Tristan as Anna giggled. His words made my heart skip a beat. I hope that I will be able to see Tristan again next week. I blushed and turned to Audrey as she had a smug look on her face. "See you on Tuesday then?" said Audrey with a smile. I smiled back at her, acutely aware of Tristan's hot gaze fixed upon me.

"Yeah, see you too," I said and they all left. I sighed and went to my office to continue with the rest of my day. However, my mind was still on Tristan and his flirting. Why was he behaving so weirdly? Did he feel the same way that I did for him? I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I was startled when the door flew open abruptly and Tristan walked in, locking the door after him. My eyes widened with surprise. What was he doing here? He had left already a few minutes back with his family, didn't he? A strange excitement coursed through my body and I just couldn't control my jumpy nerves anymore. I remembered the kiss we shared the last time he was here. It was a kiss I would never forget in all my life. Would he kiss me again?
