Chapter 145: Chapter 145

Amelia's POV

I watched as my husband slowly approached me while I sat on the bed eagerly waiting for him. My whole body was on fire and I knew it was the same for him as well. His eyes flashed with excitement as he followed me to the bed. "Amy!" he breathed, his tone soft, calling my name almost like an endearment. He pinned me to the bed with his arm around me while his hand tenderly touched my cheek, stroking them with the back of his hand.

I stared at him mesmerized, unable to utter a single word. "I'm so glad that we could make it through. I'm so glad that finally, our dreams have come true," he whispered. I could feel the contentment in his tone and I wrapped my arms around his neck, breathing him in.

"Me too, Jay. I never thought that I'd ever see this day. Thank you for pursuing me, and thank you for making it happen. I love you," I told him. He dipped his face and kissed me lingeringly as if I was precious to him. I knew that I was. The kiss was gentle yet passionate and I knew that I'd never get enough of it in my entire lifetime. I kissed him back with the same fervor making him groan with pleasure. He held onto my cheek tenderly and deepened the kiss, plunging his hot tongue inside my mouth. A moan of pleasure escaped me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and surrendered to him.

"I love you, my beautiful wife," said Tristan, when we finally broke apart for breath.

We hugged one another for quite some time as it was an ethereal feeling. It's not like you get married every day, do you? It's not like you have your dreams come true every day. "Are you ready for our wedded bliss? Are you ready to consummate our marriage, love?" he asked, his eyes shining with hope.

"Yes, Jay. I've been waiting all my life for this day. I'm ready," I told him, pulling at his shirt to discard it. He wasted no time, immediately taking the hint and discarding his shirt with a glint in his eye.

"We'll try the doggie style then?" he asked, his eyes flashing with excitement.

"No, please, normal," I told him.

"Normal is boring. Let's try the leapfrog pose then," he said, making me giggle.

"Jay, we aren't animals. Can we do something meant for humans?" I asked him with an eye roll.

"Unleash the animal in you, Amy. Then we'll have fun," he told me and I just removed my hands from his torso, looking horrified. I wasn't comfortable with what he was wanting me to do. He laughed seeing my expression.

"Okay, I take back my words. Let's do it your way," he said, placing my hands back on his body. His deft fingers eased the wedding gown out of me at last, making my heart thump with excitement. His eyes took me in, my whole body clad in my designer bridal lingerie. It seemed as if he was seeing me for the first time in his life, his eyes worshipping me. I felt so beautiful both inside as well as outside. He didn't need to tell me explicitly, no words were required, and our eyes did all the communication that we needed. He eagerly took off the last clothing that covered me. I helped him out of his clothes. As we lay with each other, skin to skin, heart to heart, exploring our bodies, making love to one another, we realized that this was eternal between us. We made love, we talked, we discussed our future children, and planned our honeymoon to Greece.

"Have you been to Greece before?" I asked him as we cuddled with one another, sated and blissfully happy.

"Yes, but I was on a work trip. This time I'm going to enjoy it because I'm going with you. In fact, this will be our first trip together," said Tristan. I grinned.

"Yes, I'm looking forward to it," I told him happily.

Tristan's POV

Today was the happiest day of our lives. Seeing Amelia in her bridal dress had been a long-time dream for me but she looked much more beautiful than I had ever imagined. And now taking it off her on our wedding night was another distant dream that had come true.

The next morning we woke up late in each other's arms. We laced around in bed for a while. The whole family was returning home while we would spend another night here and then go home to pack for our flight to Greece.

"I hope no one disturbs us till noon," I said but she rolled her eyes at me.

"Noon? I'm hungry already from all the exertion of last night. Freshen up quickly. We're going down for breakfast," she said, getting up and rushing to the en-suite to freshen up.

"Hey, wait! We'll take a shower together," I said but she had already closed the door. "If we take a shower together, we would never be able to go down on time for breakfast," she yelled, making me grin. After a few minutes, when she emerged looking hot as ever, I tried to grab her but she squealed and evaded me.

"No, my stomach's grumbling, please Jay," she said, quickly wearing her clothes. Of course, I was kidding. I was hungry too. I freshened up quickly and we went downstairs to the dining hall where the whole family was present.

Cassandra wiggled her eyebrows at me. She would be leaving with Julian after breakfast. I smiled at her. Amelia went to sit with her and I served us food and joined them.

"What a doting husband you are, Tristan!" gasped Anna, making me grin.

"I'm sure Stefan is one step more than what I am," I said with a shrug which made Anna grin.

"So, when are you planning to propose, Jules?" asked Claire. Julian shrugged.

"I can do it now if Cassie agrees," he said, making Cassandra choke on her spit.

"Please, spare me, Julian," she said, looking horrified.

"Okay, fine. We'll do it the proper way, the romantic way," said Julian, making Cassandra blush. We all chuckled knowing that another wedding was coming up soon. Jason gave us tips on what we could do on our honeymoon in Greece. We really looked forward to it. After all, a honeymoon happens only once in one's life!

"C'mon Azura, we're leaving," said Adrian, walking over to us. They had another wedding to attend and were in a hurry to leave.

The next few hours went by as all our family members left one by one. The resort was empty by lunchtime and we strolled along the narrow path that led toward the lake. "They've arranged for a special honeymoon lunch for us," I told Amelia and she giggled.

"What's a honeymoon lunch? I've heard of a romantic dinner, a candlelight dinner but never of a honeymoon lunch," she said curiously. I chuckled. I had no idea actually.

"Let's see for ourselves," I told her. We strolled for a while and sat under the shady oak watching the ducks and the geese around. "Hungry?" I asked her and she nodded. "Let's check out what this honeymoon lunch is all about," I said, holding out my hand to her. She placed her hand in mine and we walked hand in hand down the path back to our resort.
