Chapter 144: Chapter 144

Amelia's POV

"Are you nervous?" Asked Cassandra. I took a deep breath and smiled at her.

"A little," I said honestly. I was nervous that I would somehow trip in my heavy bridal attire.

"I'd be a lot more nervous if I were you," she said with a grin. Claire grinned too.

"You wouldn't. I'm sure Julian would go for a first look and calm you down," said Claire. Cassandra smiled knowingly. Julian was a go-getter and more desperate than Tristan. He didn't have the word patience in his dictionary and was more impulsive than the others. No one knew him better than Claire did.

"I think so too," I said, making Cassandra smile too.

"He hasn't proposed yet and you guys have already started speculating," she said with an eye roll. We all giggled.

"He will soon. I'm sure the next wedding will be yours. We're going chronologically it seems," said Anna with a laugh.

"Maybe," said Cassandra, joining in.

"I'm waiting for the day when all my children will settle down and give me grandchildren to play with. Your dad and I would simply visit each one of you and spend fifteen days at each of your places," said mom in a dreamy voice. They all blushed and Claire smiled at mom.

"You have a long time to wait, mom. Amy's just getting married. Jules and Addy haven't even proposed," she pointed out. Cassandra and Azura blushed and so did I.

The officiant had arrived and we got ready for the procession to start. After everyone had walked down it was finally my turn to walk down. I grasped Leo's arm tightly. With Brandon on the other side, I took a deep breath to calm my jumpy nerves.

"C'mon let's get you married," Leo said as he held out his arm for me to take. Mom also helped me with my train and kept her hand on my back, giving me silent support. I smiled at her and nodded, as we started down the aisle. Although it was my initial wish that dad should give me away, he stepped down at the last minute since Leo and Brandon wanted to do the honor but I wanted dad also to be there with me. So here I was walking down the aisle with Leo, Brandon, mom, and dad. I was busy taking careful steps down the aisle when I looked up and my eyes met with Tristan's.

He was on the dais, a few steps away from me, holding his breath as he stared at me. I smiled at him nervously, as I walked carefully, ensuring that I didn't trip. He smiled back, his face brightening up as he took in my look. I saw how gorgeous he looked in his charcoal black tuxedo with a pale pink rosebud boutonniere. His hair was combed and for the first time looked all set and proper. His jade green eyes looked happy and content. It set my heart at peace and calmed the flutter in my heart. We reached near the altar and Tristan came down to take my hand from Leo's.

"Take good care of my little sister, Tris," said Leo. Tristan nodded and placed a hand on his heart.

"I always will," he promised. He led me up the steps towards the officiant to get ready for the ceremony to start. We looked into each other's eyes and held hands as we waited.

The wedding ceremony went on in a daze as we said our vows and were proclaimed man and wife. Tristan kissed me hard and amidst loud cheers, picked me up, and carried me bridal style down the stage, through the aisle, and to the venue for our photography session. I wrapped my arms around his neck and laid my head on his shoulder. I had always dreamed of being married to him since I was a young girl and he used to come over to our house being Caleb's best friend. I felt blissfully happy to finally have dreams come true. I was now a married woman. I was Mrs. Amelia Henderson. I saw Caleb smiling as he wiped a tear from his eye, seeing me finally happy.

Tristan pulled me to his side as we geared up for our photography session. "Say cheese, my lovely wife!" said Tristan, pulling me towards him as the photographers got busy. Tristan wanted a natural photoshoot and therefore we have been at it since the moment we arrived at the beautiful backdrop at the resort. We had chosen the colorful rose garden as our backdrop. With a picturesque little waterfall in one corner, the place was perfect for a natural photoshoot.

The whole family joined in and for the next few minutes, we were extremely busy with the photography session. Finally, Anna and Caleb led us towards the reception party, followed by the other bridesmaids and groomsmen. The whole banquet hall was decorated in white with expensive chandeliers and glass vases containing beautiful white blooms. White tulle tied together with white floral garlands created an ethereal look all around. The whole place was alive with music and drinks and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves when we entered.

"Amy, you're looking so lovely. I knew that you'd be the next to get married," said aunt Emily as I walked up to mom who sat with them. I smiled at her warmly while Cassandra had behind me knowing that she would be the next target. But thankfully she didn't say anything and started discussing her daughter's wedding instead. Julian whisked Cassandra away and Tristan pulled me away too.

"I'm sure you're as hungry as I am, baby doll. The appetizers are delicious. Let's eat before they disappear," said Tristan.

"Thanks for reminding me, Jay. I'm really famished," I admitted.

"I'll always take care of you for life, Amy," he said, pulling me along with him. I was overwhelmed by his words.

"I'll also take care of you for life," I swore. He grinned at me and gave me a quick peck on my temple.

"By the way have I told you how s*xy you're looking in this wedding dress?" he asked, leaning a little towards me. I shook my head with a grin on my face.

"You are looking so delicious that I feel like whisking you away from here," he whispered, winking at me. I blushed and then leaned toward him.

"The same goes for you," I added cheekily, making his eyes widen with surprise. He raised an eyebrow at me with disbelief.

"I really can't wait now," he said excitedly, making me grin. We helped ourselves to the delicious appetizers and I selected a fruity punch for myself while Tristan sipped our signature wedding drink. "You can try a sip of this," he offered, making me take a sip of his drink.

"Mm, it's good. I'll also have it," I said. Afterward, we chatted and mingled with everyone till it was time for the wedding lunch. The huge white tables with glass centerpieces and silver table runners filled up quickly. Tristan and I took our seats and soon the toasts started. Caleb as best man and Anna, my matron of honor gave their speeches. The food was heavenly and Tristan held my hand under the table. I knew how excited he was. Although we had made love many times before, today would be our special night as we would make love for the first time as a married couple. We couldn't contain our excitement as time went by. After dinner, everyone geared up for the first dance.

"Let's set the dance floor on fire," said Tristan as he held out his hand to me. I placed my hand in his and he led me to the dance floor. The music had started and since we both shared this common love for dancing, we weren't at all nervous. The romantic dance lights were on and we started our dancing to Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do'. We gave our heart and soul to our performance and everyone sat watching us, enraptured by our amazing chemistry together. Afterward, we didn't stop. The music went on and everyone joined us in the dancing.

Later the wedding cake was set up and we cut the cake amidst cheers and champagne. I glanced at Tristan and knew that it was time to leave the rest to continue with their celebrations. He walked towards me with purpose, his eyes already dark with determination. He picked me up gently in his arms and I already surrendered. Laying my head on his shoulder, I allowed him to take me away from here to our bedroom, our haven.

He strode out with me as if I didn't weigh anything. It was nearly 10 o'clock at night and I knew that this was it. Our wedding night had started and my heart was thundering in my chest.

"I've been waiting for this moment the whole day," he said, his eyes glittering with excitement. "I've missed you so much," he admitted.

"Me too. I've missed you too, Jay. We should have gotten ready together as well," I said. His eyes widened with surprise.

"Absolutely my thoughts. I was just telling Caleb that earlier. He too agrees," said Tristan as we went into our room. My eyes popped out hearing that about my brother. I had no idea that he had any romantic side to him. Tristan placed me down gently and then turned to lock the door after him while my heart seemed to jump with excitement as I looked forward to my wedding night.
