Chapter 119: Chapter 119
Amelia's POV
It was late when we reached home. Tristan just pulled me into his arms to sleep, cuddling me, spooning me from the back. "Let's call it a night. We could catch up tomorrow, right?" he said, planting a soft kiss below my ears.
"Hmm," I said but the soft peck turned into a wild exploration as we both couldn't keep our hands off one another. So all our resolutions to sleep turned to dust as we hungrily devoured one another. I realized one thing. I couldn't stay away from Tristan and I didn't want to. My body revolted when he was around, dancing to his tunes. Tristan had a satisfied grin on his face afterward.
"Good night, love," he said softly. I noted that he had recently started using this new endearment a lot. Did that mean that he loved me? Well! I was confused but nevertheless hopeful.
"Good night, Jay," I whispered back.
The next few days were too hectic for me, completing all the dresses for Anna's wedding was my top priority. Cassandra and mom came over to my boutique to check on the dresses and were glad about the final output. I was satisfied that they loved it so much. After dispatching all the dresses to the Hendersons, I completed all my pending work to make myself free for the other forthcoming wedding. I wanted to enjoy Anna's wedding with Tristan instead of worrying about work.
Living with Tristan was indeed a dream come true for me. He had a way of making every minute I spent with him feel like heaven. I had comfortably settled in and l released the apartment I was renting. Tristan insisted that I share his bedroom, although his apartment had four. I didn't mind, as his bedroom was huge, as big as my entire studio apartment! We made out passionately whenever we got time to ourselves, on the kitchen counter, in the bathroom, on the terraces, in the swimming pool, on the living room couch. Every night we cuddled to sleep. He didn't force himself on me, but I felt bad because of the number of cold showers that he needed to take.
A few days before the wedding, we had a family dinner at Stefan's house. It was very enjoyable, with the same joking, teasing, drama, non-stop banter, easy discussions, and a little rehearsal of speeches for Jason who was the best man, and Claire who was the maid of honor.
Gran kissed my cheek in appreciation," I love the dresses, sweetie," she said after dinner. It made my heart swell with happiness. She tried them on for me to see and I loved the look.
"Come at least an hour early, you two. We will leave for the venue tomorrow after lunch at 1 o'clock. It's a 3-hour drive, so come prepared, " said mom. I nodded at her.
"Yes, mom," Tristan and I chorused as we took leave to go home. The wedding was taking place at the Hendersons extravagant wedding resort in Callicoon, New York, The Springwell Golf Club, and Resorts, overlooking their 18-hole golf course and Callicoon's rolling hills. We were to stay there for.4 days and return home, while Anna and Stefan would leave for their 10-day honeymoon to Hawaii.
As we rounded off the corner towards our car, near the rose bushes, we saw Adrian and Azura in a heated conversation, which stopped abruptly with Adrian smashing his lips to hers. Tristan rolled his eyes and we left them in peace and drove off.
We returned to our apartment and packed our necessities for the four-day wedding weekend.
"Are you excited? It's our first holiday as a couple," said Tristan. I nodded, my eyes widening hearing his words. Right, we are a couple now! The thought brought a smile to my face.
"Yes, very excited. I had never dreamed that we would be going on a holiday as a couple," I admitted and he smiled, his eyes holding promises of more to come.
"This is just the beginning, love. I'll make all our dreams come true," I gazed into his beautiful eyes as my heart swelled with contentment.
"Thank you, Jay. I couldn't have asked for more," I whispered, my eyes drooping with exhaustion.
"But I can and will. Not now, tomorrow. Good night, baby doll." Cuddling together we went to sleep.
We reached the resort the next day and as Tristan parked his car, I gasped around with wonder. The sprawling resort was breathtaking with vast expanses of golf turf, and lush green lawns that rolled down to the edge of the huge private lake. Paddleboats floated near the edge and beautiful swans, and geese waddled about and swam serenely. The area gave a fresh, natural vibe and I was happy to inhale the fresh air. Hand in hand, Tristan and I strolled along exploring the entire resort.
The wedding would be held in the beautiful sprawling garden area at the backside of the resort overlooking the golf course, with a gazebo built in the center of the garden. White tulle drapes and flowers in different shades of pink decorated the archway giving the whole area a romantic, classic vibe.
The workers were busy decorating and fixing the gazebo, lighting was being installed in every nook and corner. Floral decorations were being made and fixed. I couldn't help the ache in my heart. I wished this would be our wedding instead of Anna and Stefan's.
