Chapter 118: Chapter 118

Amelia's POV

The next morning, when I woke up, Tristan was in his gym working out. I freshened up and went to the kitchen to make breakfast when he walked in, his bare body glistening with sweat, making my mouth go dry as a fresh bout of desire engulfed me. It was a sin to look so good this early in the morning. How can anyone get any work done under the circumstances?

"Hey! Good morning, love," he said in a husky whisper. I smiled and kissed his cheek, although I wanted to grab him and kiss him all over. 'Control, Amy. He will surely think you're crazy!' thought my inner mind.

"Good morning, Jay," I greeted him shyly, in case he read my mind. I had no idea what had come over me last night making me such a needy woman. Now in broad daylight, I just couldn't meet his eyes. I was suddenly shy.

"Hey! You're looking so delicious, I could eat you for breakfast," teased Tristan, pulling me closer and planting a peck on my lips. All my inhibitions were gone at his playfulness.

"You look no less," I threw over my shoulder and started the coffee maker. Tristan was stunned and speechless for a moment and then he grinned boyishly, loving my retort.

"So let's go?" he asked with the same grin pasted on his lips. I looked at him with confusion.

"Where?" I asked. His grin widened further.

"To the bedroom to devour each other. Where else do you think?" he asked with a chuckle.

I smiled and placed a pan on the flame to cook the eggs. Tristan brought out the bacon and bread. We made breakfast together and I smiled inwardly. I already loved living with Tristan. Life seemed rosier, beautiful, fun, and joyful when he was around. I would love it with him and live with him just as he wanted me to. We enjoyed breakfast together and then stood on one of his terraces to watch the picturesque sunrise.

Later, I called one of my salesgirls to get me a dress and a fresh set of underwear from the shop. I took a shower and dressed in the clothes she bought. I left with Tristan and he dropped me off at my shop. I kissed his cheek to thank him but he wanted more. The moment he stretched to grab me, I ducked and escaped. "You can't run forever, love. I'll get you in the evening, " he warned, his eyes glittering with more promise. I laughed and entered my shop, a permanent, happy smile pasted on my lips.

I sent a sales girl with some dresses for gran at mom and dad's house. The whole day went by, with loads of work, it was nearly 8 o'clock at night when Tristan came into my office.

"Are you done, love?" he asked. "Let's eat, then we can go to your apartment to pack, and then go home," he suggested.

"Yeah, I'm nearly done," I said as I saved the design that I was working on. I shut down my laptop and collected all my belongings and left with Tristan.

We went to an Italian restaurant a block away from my office. Tristan said the food was awesome, and he always ended up there whenever he craved Italian food. We ordered Lamb Ragù served over Pappardelle, bruschetta chicken, panna cotta and a slice of tiramisu for dessert. Tristan sipped a glass of Negroni while waiting for our food and I just stuck to water, having zero tolerance towards alcohol and cocktails.

Noticing me sipping water, Tristan said, "So, you didn't touch alcohol after Brittany's 21st birthday party?" My jaw dropped, and I simply stared at him, unable to form a word.

"H-how did you know?" I stammered. He was here while I attended the party at Brittany's home in Boston, Lincolnshire, UK. How could he know what I did there, that too two years back? It was so weird that I just couldn't let it go this time. Surely he was hiding something from me.

He looked uncomfortable, not meeting my eyes. "I know everything, love," he said with a shrug.

"But, how?" I asked. I wanted to know how he knew so much about me. The waiter appeared with our food, and the divine taste and smell made us ravenous. I was so hungry that I forgot to bring up the question and Tristan shrewdly changed the topic, telling me tales of the mischief he and his brothers were always up to since childhood just to get a taste of mom's delicious food. We were laughing at the end of dinner. My whole body was alive just by being with him. His smile, his words, his jokes, everything made me feel like I was living in another world altogether. A world which I loved, A world where I knew that I was special. His eyes held a lot of promise and my whole body trembled with anticipation with every passing second. I didn't know what living with Tristan would involve but I found myself looking forward to it. It was like a dream come true for me.

Later, we went to my apartment and packed the things I immediately needed, and left for home. Home? Yes, Tristan's apartment felt more like my home that any other place in the whole world.
