Chapter 110: Chapter 110
Amelia's POV
I hurriedly got ready for Anna's final fitting today. Yesterday, Tristan received a call from his dad and he rushed out, telling me that he would be sleeping at the hotel where one of the computers connected to the LAN setup had been virus-infected and it was spreading out into the network. It was a serious emergency situation and he was overseeing the problem. I nodded in understanding. After he left, I went to my shop and prepared for today's final fitting. I didn't expect Tristan to come to the shop today as he had mentioned that he would be busy today.
By 11 o'clock in the morning, I was very nervous. I was just hoping that Tristan somehow could make out time and come. Or would Anna come just with Claire, Cassandra, and Audrey? Looking at myself in the mirror for the hundredth time, I breathed a sigh of relief when a blue Mercedes pulled up in front of my shop, and Anna, Audrey, and Claire bundled out giggling. My heart started beating faster and faster as I waited to see who was driving them around. Was it Stefan or was it someone else? My eyes widened with disbelief when Tristan came out and glanced up at my office with a cheeky grin on his face. He knew that I was watching him. How did he know, the glass was tinted after all!
A white BMW pulled up and Julian came out with Cassandra, hand in hand, while she tried to pull free, walking up to my shop. Both were busy arguing about something.
Tristan walked inside first as if he had raced inside way ahead of the others. I turned towards him, my heartbeats accelerating at the sight of him. I was so glad that he could make it. The whole time I had been waiting so eagerly for him, thinking of things that I would say to him but now, after one look at him, I was tongue-tied and shy.
"I thought you wouldn't come," I finally told him when I found my voice. He smiled warmly and opened his arms out for me and I ran into them. He wrapped his arms around my body engulfing me in a warm hug. It was the most overwhelming moment for me. I felt like I had found my home, my solace! I could stay in his arms forever! He kissed my forehead tenderly, making the warmth flow all over me. We were so engrossed in our own little bubble, that we didn't notice the others come inside.
Anna and Claire giggled seeing us. Tristan released me while they giggled, teasing us and making him glare back at them. Audrey smiled at me indulgently and turned towards Tristan. "Tris, invite Amelia as your date tonight," she suggested. My eyes widened. Date? I looked up at Tristan to see him smiling down at me, his eyes flashing with excitement.
"Yes, mom, I will," Tristan said with the same smile on his face. My face flushed with excitement as the whole family showered their attention upon me.
"Now, Trissy, now. Ask her now," said Anna, wiggling her eyes at Tristan but he shook his head vehemently.
"No, I will only ask when you leave us alone. I might need to persuade her if you know what I mean," Tristan said shamelessly, leaning towards her to whisper the last part into her ears.
I blushed crimson as I covered my virgin ears. The guy had no shame. How could he just hint at such things in front of everyone?
Anna, Claire, and Cassandra giggled melodramatically as Anna slapped his arm, "Look what you're doing to poor Amy," said Anna with a mischievous grin on her face. By now I knew their equation. Tristan always teased Anna and Stefan to the heights and this was all karma.
"Children, let's get going with the fittings, shall we?" Audrey asked with a grin. She was used to their ways.
Julian also laughed at all the drama as he stared at Cassandra without batting an eyelid, while she pointedly ignored him. What was going on with them? I could swear that Tristan and his brothers were all weird!
"Yes, this way please," I said leading them towards the fitting room, as Tristan and Julian stayed back at the waiting lounge talking amongst themselves.
The fitting went well, the dresses were ready to be shipped to them. Everyone was happy with their dresses and it meant a lot to me. I let out a breath of relief, I was glad that they loved my hard work. Audrey smiled at me, "Well done, Amy sweetie, you've done a wonderful job," said Audrey, and I was on cloud nine.
"Thank you, Mrs. Henderson, I'm glad that you all liked them," I told her sincerely. She shook her head.
"Call me mom, Amy," she said gently making my heart fill up with joy. She was Tristan's mom and I was glad that she accepted me as part of them.
"Yes, mom," I said with a smile playing on my lips. I had always wanted to feel wanted the moment I had been introduced to Tristan's wonderful family and now it seemed as if that dream was about to be fulfilled.
"That's better," she said giving me a hug. I hugged her back, feeling complete now. I was Tristan's girlfriend after all!
"The wedding's next week, on the 5th. Is your own dress ready? You're my bridesmaid," said Anna, handing her dress to Cadence, to be folded and packed.
"Yeah, it's done," I assured her. I didn't tell her how over-eager I was to attend the event as part of the family.
Claire was in a hurry, her baby boy Alexander was cranky after his vaccination yesterday, so she had to leave early. Cassandra had to rush to her job, as she slipped out only for an hour. So Julian volunteered to drop both of them off and then rush back to work. They all left and I turned towards my boyfriend to see what he was up to.
