Chapter 79 Welcome to adulthood

MAIA'S POV

After my talk with Pamela, Lucius insisted that I stay in bed for the rest of the day. He was being paranoid after what Pamela did with the tea.

Ever since that day, he got one of the Omegas to always taste my food in front of me before I could consume it. No matter how I would tell him that it was not needed, he would not change his mind.

"What would you like for dinner?" He asked.

I lifted my head from the book that I was reading and looked at him.

"Hmmm... Chicken curry with rice sounds nice," I replied after giving it a little thought.

"Okay. Let me just finish this and I will start the preparation," he said.

"You are going to cook?" I asked, closing the book.

"Yes. Why? Don't you want me to cook?" He asked.

"Of course, I want to," I replied.

He simply smiled at me before going back to his work. I went back to reading the book while waiting for him to finish.

Half an hour later, he stood from his chair and headed towards me.

"Would you like to be my assistant Chef?" He asked, wrapping his arms around my shoulders.

"I would love to," I replied.

I put the book away and stood up from the couch. We headed to his private kitchen and cooked.

We spent the next hour cutting vegetables and cooking. I have tasted Lucius' cooking before, but I had never seen him cook. It was such a wonderful sight to watch.

After having dinner in the garden, we walked around the castle grounds while talking about Pamela.

"Why are you being so kind to her? She almost killed you and she has been hating you since day one," he asked.

"I understand the reason behind her actions. She loves you, Lucius. She is doing all of this because she is scared of losing you. The moment she met me, she felt threatened. All she has been trying to do is protect what she thinks is hers," I explained.

"But that does not give her the right to do what she did. She was out of line. Even Lucian wanted to snap her neck multiple times already," he said.

"She is not thinking straight. She is being clouded by her emotions and her desires. Try to be in her position, Lucius. When you find out that the person you care about and love is not yours to keep, of course, you'll not just let them go away. You'll fight for that person until the end even though you know that you will not win either way," I explained.

He suddenly stopped walking and pulled me into a hug.

"Don't ever leave me. Ever," he said.

At first, I was taken aback by his action, but then soon relaxed to it. I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him back.

"Don't you worry, I am here to stay. It's time to fight for what is mine and you are mine," I said.

He tightened his hold on me and buried his face in my neck.

We stayed like that for a couple of minutes. No words or anything, just us under the starry night.

After we had enough of an evening stroll, we went back to the castle. It was one of the special nights I would always remember. My heart was overflowing with so much happiness that night just from the simple hand- holding. It was that night when I was so sure that things would be better for us.

When we stopped by my bedroom door, he gave me a kiss that was supposed to be a quick goodnight kiss that turned into a much longer one.

"Would you like to come in?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper from the effect of the breathtaking kiss he just gave me.

His forehead was still on mine as we evened our breaths.

"If I come inside, I can't promise that I can control myself or Lucian," he replied.

His voice alone sent chills through my spine.

"Then, don't control yourself," I said.

It was all that he needed before his lips were on mine again. Everything happened so quickly that I had no idea how we got to the bed.

The simple goodnight kiss turned into a make-out session.

His hands roamed under my dress from my thighs up to my ass. Soon enough, my mind was clouded with lust. I let out a moan as he trailed kisses down my jaw all the way to my mark. Thousands of sparks and tingles shot through my body as he nibbled on my mark. I felt like I was about to explode from that simple nibbling. My body was burning with so much desire and it was begging with need.

I realized that all I had on was my underwear when he took one of my nipples in his mouth. I couldn't hold back the moan anymore that was begging to escape from my lips. There was so much going on that my brain could barely focus. I was losing it all and fast.

My body loved how he was giving each and every part of it the attention it needed. I was amazed at how his hands could do such wonder.

After giving my nipples enough love, he trailed kisses back to my lips.

"Are you sure you don't want me to stop?" He asked in such a sexy voice.

I could barely say a word with all the need that my body was screaming for. I quickly nodded and it was all the permission he needed before he dived back to showering my body with kisses and pleasure.

I had a slight panic when his kisses were heading south. He was the one who took away my virginity when we first met months ago. No one had ever seen me naked except him, let alone someone going down there.

All my worries and panicking suddenly disappeared and was replaced with overwhelming pleasure as he placed kisses on my delicate spot which later turned into licking.

I lost count of how many times I cummed that night. All I could remember was waking up the next morning with his arms wrapped around my waist and our naked bodies entangled with each other. Memories of the night before crept up my mind and I couldn't help but blush to the thoughts of how loud I moaned for his name and begged for him to go faster.
