Chapter 50: Chapter 50
“Do you really have to go?”
“Yes and hopefully, we can find a way to help Estella out. Besides we have spent too much time from home.” My sister answers when it’s time for her to leave.
Finn stands behind her, waiting for us to be done talking.
“When will you come to visit.”
“I should be asking you instead. I am going to give birth in a few months. It is as close as I say.”
I nod at her words. “I know and I will try to portal your way when the time comes.”
“Makes me wonder why we can’t just portal out of here.” She increases her voice as she emphasizes and turns to Finn with a glare before she turns back to me.
I laugh when he raises an eyebrow at this.
“Who knows what could happen if you step in there. I have never heard of a pregnant fey step into a portal. I am not going to take that risk.”
“I believe that I have heard something like that before.” I think aloud and my sister rolls her eyes.
“Finn is just being paranoid.” She marches up to the car and opens the door. “Let’s go Finn.”
“I’m gonna take that as goodbye.” I shout back as the car zooms back to life.
“Sure.”
I chuckle and watch them drive out of the premises, till they are out of sight.
“Why am I not surprised to see you out here.” I turn to see Sebastian beside me and I find myself blushing in seconds.
Ever since everything went down, I can’t look at him without a blush on my cheeks. Maybe it’s because I am now the one writing my book or because he told me that he loves me. It’s probably the first one.
Who am I kidding! It’s the second and I continue to smile at him.
His eyes moves away from me with nervousness in the air. I can almost taste it and it’s coming from him.
“I was wondering if-”
“So you’re the female my ears keeps hearing about.” A feminine voice cuts him off and he breathes out as if knowing who it is .
I look over his shoulders and see his parents staring at me with what I recognize as rage… oh, sorry, that’s not rage. My bad.
“The female that won’t leave Sebastian’s lips.”
It’s his father’s turn to talk and my eyes move to Sebastian for a brief second.
“What exactly does he say about me now?” I whisper under my breath but I am sure everyone hears me.
Silence surrounds the place for a second before his mother speak. “I’m joking. I just always wanted to do that to my children’s mates…” Her excitement dwindles. “I wanted to do that to Gwen’s mate too but…”
I nod in understanding. “It’s a pleasure to meet you both again… in your right minds.” I smile, trying all I can to not take a glance at Sebastian who for some unknown reason can’t keep his eyes off me.
“Yes, we clearly weren’t in our right minds before and we apologize for any inconvenience we might have caused at that time.” It’s his father that speaks next and I nod again.
No matter, the smile they put on their faces, I can still see the sorrow hidden under it. They just lost their daughter and that’s the only real thing on their mind right now.
“It’s okay. I understand the situation. Thank you for having the time to apologize.”
With a small smile gracing my lips, I begin to walk away. I am not far off when I hear his mother sold him in a hush whisper. “She seems like a great girl. You better not ruin this!”
An amused smile forms on my lips and I shake my head as I walk inside, to my room.
Nothing is out of place, not even the bags containing my clothes. Yesterday, when Gwen died, I decided to leave so I packed my new founded belongings into the nearest suitcase I could find, but now I stand in the room, staring at the case with mixed feelings.
Why do I want to leave in the first place. I could have a home here, a child and to think of it, I can’t leave Gwen’s daughter behind. I can’t run away with the child I am carrying either.
Sebastian deserves the chance to raise his kid, something that my parent’s didn’t get and I am not going to throw it all in his face, like everything he did was his fault because it wasn’t.
I’ve already gotten the satisfaction of killing who master planned everything.
So it’s settled. I am staying.
My next move is to unpack my things and as my hands touch the suitcase, I hear a knock and the door opens afterwards.
Sebastian walks in with a nervous smile but when his eyes shifts to my suitcase, it disappears, replaced with shock and sadness swirling in his eyes.
“You’re leaving?”
“No, I was but I thought it over. I’ll stay.” As I say this, his tense body relaxes but his eyes remains cautious. “Besides, I can’t raise a kid alone.”
“Technically, it’s two children.” He says, shifting on his feet.
“Yeah, two.”
We fall into an awkward silence and I cough nervously.
“When you told m-”
“Can we go o-”
We talk at the same time and when we realize this, we end up laughing at each other.
“Sorry. You go first.” He gives me the room and I gulp.
Just say it, say it.
“When you told me that you loved me. D-Did you mean it?”
Silence.
It greets me and my anxiety spikes up as several thoughts takes the chance to invade my head. Maybe he didn’t really mean it. He could have been caught in the moment. It was clear that his emotions were in a frenzy that day. I mean, his sister was kidnapped.
“Yes.”
I look up at him, without a blink. “Yes?”
“I meant what I said, Minerva and I will mean it every second of my life. I do love you.”
I shake my head as my insecurities slip in. “You can’t love me. You can’t love the female who caused people she loves to die. You can’t love the female that is weak and hides under the strong facade she builds up. You can’t possibly love someone like that.”
He looms over me and I pull my head back to stare at him. He reaches out to my face, trailing his fingers down slowly as he leaves a fiery feeling following it.
“But that’s the thing. I do love that female.” His blue eyes watches me and he grabs my face with both his palms. “I love that female because she is strong. She can go through anything that comes her way and she will always win and I am telling this female that she has nothing to do with anyone’s death.”
I cover his huge hands with mine. “How can you be so sure.”
A smile forms on his lips, gracing me with the greatest view of my life.
“Because I love, trust and adore you and you are the woman I love so much more than she can ever imagine.”
Laughter leaves my lips as I force out a cry the same time, tears flowing down my cheeks and he repeats.
“I love you, Minerva and I hope that you will grow to love me someday too.”
Slowly, he leans forward and my heart jumps out of my chest when I figure out what’s he’s about to do.
Our lips touch in the next second and flames ignite in me. A hot sensation flowing down my body as his lips begin to move on mine and soon I follow, matching his own pace and pattern.
His lips are quick and experienced while I try to follow up.
He takes my lower lip into his teeth and bites on it, making me hiss out and I open my mouth, letting his tongue sooth the pain away. I don’t realize when we lay on the bed but I find myself under him with one of his hands off my face. He places it on the bed, on the side of my head, making sure that the top of his body is not pressing on me.
The flames continue to increase and before I know it, I am running into a need that I can barely keep in.
My fingers finds their way to his hair as he sucks on my lower lip and I groan out in pleasure, into his mouth. He pulls back when I become out of breath and I breathe out heavily.
Our chest continue to rise simultaneously as he stares at me with dark eyes and a calculative look.
“Why did you do that?” I sound breathless when I ask.
His eyes narrows and he roughly grabs my hips, making me gasp out.
“Don’t tell me that you didn’t like it.” His voice sounds edgy.
“I never said that.” I smirk and drag him closer to me.
We end up kissing again.
