“DADDY!” Zack exclaimed and that was Claire’s cue to get back on her senses.

Blaire walked towards his son and kissed him in the forehead. “Hello Kiddo.” He said.

And then he turned to her. “What is this?” He asked with furrowed brows.

“Sir Blaire, your wife baked cinnamon bread for the first time and it really tastes perfect.” Maria answered.

“Baked? Since when did you learn how to bake?” He asked curiously.

“I don’t know, everything is on the internet nowadays anyway.” Claire said, shrugging her shoulders. She started cleaning the things they used in baking.

“Miss Claire, Maria and I will take care of that.” Rose said and continued what she started.

“No, it’s okay. I am not doing anything anyway.” She said. But the truth was, she just wanted to avoid having a conversation with Blaire.

“No Miss, it’s our job.” Maria insisted.

She sighed. She does not have any choice now but to face Blaire. His brows were still furrowed when she looked at him.

“Daddy! You have to try mommy’s cinnamon bread. They are so perfect!” Zack proudly announced to his father.

She smiled at the little boy. He is really sweet.

“Really?” Blaire asked Zack but his eyes were on her.

“Yes daddy! Say aaaahhhh.” Zack instructed him to open his mouth which he followed immediately and the little boy put the spoon with a bite size cinnamon bread into Blaire’s mouth.

Blaire chewed the bread and slowly nodded his head with every bite. For a moment, she held her breath and hoped that he would like it. Oh! And she’d never been this nervous!

“It’s perfect, right daddy?” Zack was fishing for a compliment for her.

And Claire was eager to know how her cinnamon bread tasted for the handsome CEO of The JBC Corporation.

“Hmmm…” He just said and nodded. So, that was it. Just a ‘hmmm…’ and a nod. She was about to say something when she saw him take another big portion of the cinnamon bread and took it in his mouth.

Claire’s eyes widened. “Y-You like it?” She asked him.

He chewed it before he answered her. “I don’t have any idea that you can bake.”

“Well, I can and now you know.” Claire smiled while saying that.

Blaire looked at her as if saying ‘Be careful lady.’ She glared at him. But she smirked when she saw him taking another bite of the cinnamon bread.

“Oh! I think you really like it huh.” She said.

“Maybe, I’m just starving.” He said and it was his time to smirked at her.

She grimaced and the next thing that Blaire did shocked her.

Blaire chuckled. “That was cute.” He said and moved closer to her.

She froze and just stared at him. “Y-You chuckled.” She said absentmindedly.

“Yeah.” Blaire whispered while looking so intently at her.

He raised his one hand and he was about to touch her face!

“W-What are you doing?” She hated herself for stammering.

“Stay still.” Blaire said.

And once again, she was hypnotized by his gaze and voice. She just stayed there waiting for his next move.

There was a tingling sensation that flowed out through her veins when she felt Blaire’s hand on her face.

“You have some flour in your face.” He said while using his hand to wipe out the flour that he was talking about in her face.

Oh! Gracious heaven! How come Zack, Rose and Maria did not tell her about it? That was so embarrassing!

BLAIRE WAS once again fell into this enchantress’ spell. He was just looking intently on her brown eyes while caressing Claire’s face.

The moment that Claire grimaced, he found it cute and something inside him that tells him to caress her face. And he does not even have the strength to control himself. It seems that there was a powerful spell that forced him to do that.

And he found himself caressing Claire’s soft face. The truth was, she does not have any flour on her face. He just made that story up because he will never let her know that these past few days he was affected by her presence. Never.

“Daddy is so sweet!”

Blaire got back to his senses when he heard Zack. He immediately removed his hand from Claire’s face, like he got burned. He saw her blushed. And that makes her more cute in his eyes.

He shook his head. He should stop thinking about this nonsense. He stopped being affected like this by Claire a long time ago. But now he can’t even explain what’s happening to him. Yeah, there was a time in his life that he was smitten by the angelic face of this enchantress but he swore that he will not commit that mistake again. He will not!

“Come on kiddo. Tell daddy what happened in your whole day.” He said while taking Zack’s hand and walked near the pool area. He really needs fresh air.

Before they walked away, he saw Claire happily talking and helping Maria and Rose. His brows furrowed. Since when did these girls get close? And since when did Claire help with any household chores?

“Daddy, are you listening?”

He smiled at the little boy as they continued walking. The next thing he heard was an animated story by Zack on how he spent his whole day with his mother.

He can see how happy he is and to be honest he had never seen his son this happy because he was with his mother.

And come to think of it, he had never seen Claire like being a hands on mom on Zack either. However, admit it or not, he likes this new Claire better. Way better. He just hopes that this is not one of her wicked schemes.

“Give her a chance.” He said into his mind while seeing Claire’s sweet smile as well into his mind.
