I tried to maintain my anger and gave him a tight smile. "I don't know what kind of girl you think I am or what your girlfriend, Sierra told you, but I'm not like that. Besides, my boyfriend is inside and he wouldn't like me taking too long to go back to him."

Henry's face fell and he looked apologetic, "I'm sorry for coming on too strong and Sierra isn't my girlfriend, she's just someone that I'm seeing."

Did Cameron know that she was cheating on him by sleeping with another guy or were they in some kind of open relationship? I had no idea and I didn't care, but I hoped that she was cheating on him since he cheated on me with her. That was some great karma.

"Okay, I'll let it slide. Anyway, I need to go back inside." I replied to him, maintaining my tight smile.

"Oh, okay, but I would really like to stay friends with you." He said with a smile, looking like he was really being sincere now.

My smile relaxed and I nodded, "Sure, I'll see you around."

His smile widened and he looked relieved that I agreed, "Nice, see you around, Kat."

He turned around and I closed the door then made my way back to my mate. Sebastian was staring at me as I walked back to him and he had an angry look on his face with his jaw clenched while his brows furrowed. Seeing him that way made know that he had used his werewolf hearing to hear my conversation with Henry. I felt nervous and worried, especially since I have never seen him angry before except for when Cameron came to the cafeteria.

I sat down beside him and tried to be bold by taking his hand, "Sebastian, I know that you heard our conversation and that's why you're angry, but you really don't need to be."

His face immediately softened at seeing my efforts to comfort him and his alluring dark eyes captured mine. He moved his other hand to my dark hair and brushed his fingers through it as he let out a sigh, "Don't worry too much about my anger, cupcake. It's just the way that Henry talked to you that made me want to run over there and rip his throat out."

"I know, my wolf and I felt the same way, but he's only a human. We also can't risk doing that just for a nasty comment." I replied as he moved his hand away from my hair.

His lips twitched up into a smile as he nodded, "Yeah, I know that and that's why I didn't do it. But I still can't help, but be angry that he talked to my mate like that."

I gave him a reassuring smile and have his hand a comforting squeeze, "I know, my mate and I'm so glad that you're protective of me."

He nodded and closer to brush his perfect lips against my forehead. I felt my heart beat faster and a delightful shiver run through me at the feel of his lips. This little kiss also made me think of making out and what would happen if we did again. Would we end up mating and marking each other since we were the only two in my apartment? I knew that I couldn't let that happen and probably wouldn't because he didn't want to disrespect my decision.

Sebastian leaned back and his smile widened, "Let's get back to the movie, cupcake."

"Okay." I replied as I felt my lips stretch into a grin while watching this charming smile.

As I turned back to the laptop, I realized that it was on pause. He must have paused it after I got up to answer the door. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders again and pulled me closer to cuddle with him. I leaned into him as his entrancing scent hit me. It was his perfume mixed with his natural masculine scent and it smelt amazing. He leaned over and tapped play on the laptop and I grabbed another slice of pizza to nibble on.

An hour later, Sebastian and I were done with eating and watching the movie, so we were now walking into my bedroom to sleep. I glanced at him as I said, gesturing to the bed, "Why don't you take the bed and I'll sleep on the blanket on the floor."

He looked at me like I have just said the most impossible thing and shook his head. "Kat, why would you even think that I'll ever agree to that? I'm a gentleman even though an Alpha and I care about you. There's no way that I'm letting you sleep on the floor."

My lips stretched into a smile, "My wolf said the same thing. You're really a good mate, Sebastian and I'm so happy that it's you, not Cameron or someone else."

His lips tugged up into a smile as he stepped closer to me and his captivating dark eyes met mine. "I'm so happy that you're my mate too, Kat. You're the best woman that I've ever met even though you're so shy and innocent."

His compliment made my face heat up in a blush and he moved his hand to my face to pinch it as a deep chuckle left his lips, making a delightful shiver run through my body at the sound of his velvety voice. "You're also so cute and beautiful, my blushing cupcake."

He took his hand away and replaced it with his lips. His lips brushed my cheek lightly and he leaned back as he murmured, "Good night, my one."

I wasn't satisfied with his light kiss and wanted more, so I braved up and moved in to crash my lips against his. His eyes widened in surprise at first before they closed and I closed mine. Sebastian kissed me deeper as he cupped my face with one hand and the other caressed my hips. I was kissing him back just as fiercely and my hands moved to his shirt covered and to feel them.

A moan left my lips at how hot our make out was and I pulled back, knowing that I had to stop it now before it got out of hand. We were both breathing heavily as we stared at each other. Sebastian's eyes were now reddish dark, showing that his wolf was on the surface and I could see the want and desire in them. I was sure that mine reflected his and my hazel eyes were now a darker shade. It seemed that he has more control than I did.

"I'll, uh, I'll go change in the bathroom and be back. You can use the blanket on the bed and the other pillow." I rushed, feeling nervous, excited and shy as my face reddened again.

"Okay." He replied as he glanced at the said blanket and I turned to my drawer to grab my PJs.

I turned around and rushed to the bathroom. After I was done, I walked out dressed in my PJs which were an orange crop top and grey shorts that reach mid thigh. Sebastian's head turned to me from his place on the blanket that was facing the bed. His gaze darkened with want as it trailer down my body, pausing at my exposed belly button and then my exposed thighs. My face flushed again and I walked over to my bed and laid down, facing him.

"I didn't know that you like wearing so little to bed." Sebastian said as his alluring dark eyes met mine.

I let out a small chuckle, "So you expected me to wear more probably because I don't dress this way in public?"

"Yeah, and I'm glad that you don't dress this way in public because I don't want any guy to look at your body since you are mine." He said and I saw his eyes flash red, showing that his wolf also didn't like the idea.

I smiled at him and felt my heart squeeze with love, "I don't want any guy to see me this way either except for you, my mate."

"I'm glad that we're on the same page." He replied as a smile also tugged at his lips.

"Me too, Sebastian. Good night."

"Good night, cupcake." He murmured as he watched me close my eyes as sleep started to take me.

The next morning, my eyes fluttered open as soon as I heard my phone's alarm clock blaring. I sat up and searched for it then realized that it was inside my jeans at the foot of the bed. I grabbed the jeans and pulled out my phone to turn off the alarm. I turned my head sideways to look at my mate when I saw that he wasn't there. The blanket that he has slept on was neatly folded there while the pillow was at the foot of the bed.

I felt confused and a bit down that he had left so early before I woke up. That was when my eyes zeroed in on the note on top of the folded blanket. So I placed my phone on the bed and stood up to grab the paper. I unfolded it to see that it was a letter from Sebastian. My lips stretched into a smile immediately at seeing his name at the top.

I started reading the letter aloud, "From Sebastian. I need to go back to my house very early so that I can get ready for the office. Meet me when you come into work, I have something important that I need to talk to you about. Can't wait to see you again, cupcake."

I felt curious at what the important thing that he needed to talk to me about and couldn't wait to meet him to find out and to see him again. I folded the paper and placed it back on the bed then stood up to make my way to the bathroom to get ready for work before Manager Heather got my case again.

When I arrived at our floor at Wolfe Corp, I went straight to Tess's cubicle where she was sitting as she typed on her computer.
