She opened her eyes after the door had closed behind Ivan; he was the last to leave, adjusting the bandage he had wrapped around her head. Thank God for the first aid kits and home service medical kits that Danielle's family had in the house, with it he was able to stop the blood before she lost too much, they couldn't bear the risk of losing one of their friends.

Ruth was still in pain, for every bad thing that had happened in her life, as she thought life would be so sweet but as she grew up and started to know more about life, she realized life was full of ups and downs, life wasn't going to be fair every time. Her wish was her best friend would not die, perhaps life would be easier, not the opposite or whatever, and then she drew in long breaths.

Ever since she became friends with the girls and the rest of the guys, she had tried to stay on her own and kept more to herself, but Jasper had told her to pitch in more and Danielle and Stacie acted like friends. And she gave herself out to them in return, but after what Danielle had spurted out last night, she didn't know what to do after. Against her thought she couldn’t let herself be used twice or lied to again.

She would try to stay away for a while after all is over, when they return back to Michigan. First thing she would call her mother and her brother and explain things to them but right now, this cabin had no service, the outside world had disconnected it. It was hard to get a signal through, you had to move the phone around and stand on a spot so the signal wouldn't disappear. She smiled scornfully, since the time Danielle had contacted her brother and parents, there was no network on her phone. When she looked around the room, there was something spooky in the room, but she wasn't scare. After her experience she couldn't care less.

She banished the thought of ghosts from her mind, but then, why was her wish one of the girls be dealt with by the ghosts? The evil thought she took no notice of, laying on her side and folding her arms. Her better thoughts had evaporated, instead she prayed to the gods to protect her friends and her from every evil. Then she drifted off to sleep.
