Chapter 89: Chapter 89

Vanessa walk up to Josephine and handed a file to pass across to Nisan when she goes in to meet him then return to her seat to continue with other things. Despite Josephine wanting to be Jennie's assistant, she chose Vanessa instead who couldn’t be more happy because she wont have to interact directly with him but despite that, he still gives her some work to do ignoring his own assistant but Vanessa always hand it over to Josephine who doesn't suspect a thing

Josephine stood up to go in and came out few minutes later with the file Vanessa gave to her

“the boss wants you to bring this yourself” she informed her and returned to her seat. Vanessa hesitated for a few seconds before standing up and walking inside to meet him, she knock slightly on the door and heard his voice gently asking her to come in

“you wanted me to bring this” she said standing in front of him and placed the file on the table

Nisan raised his head up and stare at her not responding which made Vanessa feel a little bit uncomfortable

“if there is nothing you will…” she wanted to say something but he stopped her

“can we talk?” he asked calmly

“sorry sir, I don’t understand what you mean?” she answered back.

He stood up from his seat and walk slowly to her then made to hold her hands but Vanessa moved away from him avoiding his touch

“what do you think you are doing sir?” she asked irritated and also move away from him

“can you calm down and let me explain myself?” he snapped getting impatient

“will you start with you having a fiancee then” she replied back in the same manner

“listen, I’ll been allowing you to act the way you want but I also have a limit okay? I have an explanation for everything if you will just listen”

“i don’t want to, I don’t want to listen to any excuse you have to give about getting married soon its none of my business” she yelled and turned to leave but she came face to face with Jennie who was surprised to see the both of them arguing

“what on earth is going on here?” she queried directing the question to Vanessa

“she has a different idea about the proposal so we were arguing about that” Nisan quickly responded

“but that doesn't seems to be the case, Vanessa?” she called out to her, seeing that she is still shocked to see her there

“I will leave now to continue with some other works, please excuse me” she said and leave the room quickly.

Nisan walk over to Jennie and pull her into an hug something he has never done willingly before, Jennie hugged him back surprised and more sure that there is something more to their argument. Nisan never tolerate anyone yelling at him not even her except his father but Vanessa just yelled some words at him and he didn’t react at all not even a bit of anger is shown in his face

She clearly heard her last words about not hearing any excuse for him getting married

“were they talking about her and Nisan's relationship? She thought. But what is it to her even they are getting married? She always make sure to avoid him whenever she is around but she is trying to seduce him in her absence? Is it what its about?

“no, Nisan is not like that, he will never like any girl apart from the girl who he broke up with years…” she was thinking and Nisan pull away from their hug. She smiled at him then told him she wants to get a coffee and left his office then walk over to Josephine while noticing that Vanessa is not on her seat

“is there something you need ma’am?” Josephine stood up and asked seeing her looking disturbed

“what can you say about my fiance and Vanessa's relationship for the past few weeks?” she asked hoping her fears are not true

“not really good, she just doesn't like him” Josephine answered based on her observation and Jennie sighed in relieve

“but, boss never get angry or scold her for her behaviour and just let her be” she added and Jennie felt weak in her leg

“could she be…” she thought but quickly discard the thinking

“that’s definitely not possible,its impossible” she repeat to herself and Josephine looked at her confused at what she meant. Jennie thanked her and walk away instead

Nisan went back to his seat while praying silently in his heart that Jennie wont figure out anything about his and Vanessa's relationship, she has always been a very smart person and seeing her expression earlier he was sure she heard some of their discussion and that will give her a clue.

He sigh in relieve when he saw her walk back in with two coffees in her hand for the both of them and took the drink gratefully
