Chapter 83: Chapter 83
After Vanessa left Vienna’s school, she board a cab and went straight to the place for her intern. She is in her final year now and luckily she is able to get a very good job in a nice company. She already took a leave to hang out with her new found boyfriend but Vienna spoiled all her plans and now she has nothing to do so she decide to go back to work and probably get busy with something.
She entered and greet the receptionist then went in to her office and drop her bag. Her friend, Carolina quickly went over to her side and tap her gently
“I thought you said you wont be coming to work today because you have class? So why are you here now when its almost time to leave?” she asked in a whisper
“my plan got spoiled so I have nothing doing and decide to wait for you to finish so we can leave together” she answered
“really? Are you sure you are my friend? Why do I feel strange hearing that word from you?” she said and laughed
“since you are here to escort me then lets leave now before the supervisor sees you am done with my work for today” she said again and pack her bag then they left.
Ever since Nisan left about three years ago now, Vanessa tried contacting him again after the first time but all to no avail so she took a step to see his brother or any of his family members but she was thrown out like a dog still she continue going and that's when she find out that he already has a fiancee which his parent arranged for him and his father warned her not to ever come to look for him and even offered her money so she will keep shut about their relationship.
She decide not to inform Vienna or Alan anything about it and kept it to herself then took in another housemate who has really helped her, They both decide to work at the same place and possibly get married the same day but after Nisan’s disappearance, she has changed and had a lot of unstable boyfriends and the longest boyfriend she had, their relationship lasted for two months but she keep trying till she finds someone who will take her mind away from him.
They arrive at the front of their house and both entered and change out of their clothes, then Carolina offered to go out and get them something to eat while Vanessa turn on the television to pass away the time but couldn’t focus on it, Her mind went back to Vienna and how she will explain things to her later. She heard the doorbell ring and ignored it wondering why Carolina will ring the bell when she knows the pass code.
After a little while the bell wont stop ringing so she stood up in annoyance and went to open it.
“hey Carolina, why are you….” she was saying but stopped abruptly when she saw that its not her friend but Nisan standing at the door.
Vanessa held the door with one hand and stare at him in awe, just then Carolina came back and walk pass him wondering why they are staring at each other.
“what is going on here?” she asked and made to touch her but she withdraw her hand instantly when she saw her expression and move back from her then turned to face Nisan.
“you are…” she started but stopped when she recognized him.
Although she hasn’t seen him before except on the television and from the pictures Vanessa kept with her secretly, whenever news about him is shown Vanessa will change the channel or turn off the screen it was not until a lot of pressure from her before she reveal to her what relationship they used to have and how they broke up
“you are that guy! That.. guy that..” she stuttered shocked and stopped then turn back to Vanessa and move closer to her.
Vanessa pull her in suddenly and slam the door in Nisan’s face. After getting inside, Vanessa went straight to her room without bothering to eat anything locking the door while Carolina wait to see if Nisan will still ring the door but he did not and also left soon after they close the door
Vienna finished her class and decide to stay at school to read for few more hours before heading back to her apartment. She finished around ten in the evening and decide to walk since its not too far from her house, after walking for few minutes she felt someone was following her but wasn’t sure so she decided to walk fast taking out her phone from her bag then pretending to be on phone with someone but the person kept following her and she became afraid, She wanted to run but before she could, a guy came in front of her blocking her from leaving. She screamed in fear and look up to see who it was but the guy has a mask on so she couldn’t see his face. He held her tightly then draw her to himself all of a sudden but before he could do any other thing, Alan appeared and screamed her name from a distance, The stalker look up and saw him then ran away pushing her to the ground. Alan ran to her and made to chase after him but Vienna held him back and he bend down to her and help her up.
“are you okay? Did he hurt you? What happened?…” he asked one question after another worriedly and check her body all over
“am fine, he wasn’t able to do anything to me am good” she answered still frightened and hugged him tightly
“am so sacred” she whispered and Alan hugged her to assure her then he lift her off the ground and carried her in his arms to her apartment. He dropped her at the entrance so he could open the door just then Sam also came and draw Vienna away from him thinking he is a stranger. The both of them were alerted and Alan held him and twisted his hands backward holding him down. Sam screamed out in pain begging for him to release him but Alan still pull him down and punch his face before Vienna was able to recognize him and stop Alan.
“Alan he is a friend” she yelled and held him back from hitting him again but Alan only stopped after a few more hit
“he is a friend, a very good friend” she said again and place herself in between the both of them.
