Chapter 79: Chapter 79
After few days, Alan and Vienna decide to get married at the marriage bureau on Friday before going to visit grandfather and his parent on Saturday and also took some gift along. When they arrive, Vienna was surprised to see that Harley is also there with her husband and they seems to be discussing something serious with grandfather because he seems angry with the both of them.
Alan and Vienna stop about three step away from them and Alan called out to his grandfather, he turned back and when he saw them, the frown on his face turned to a smile and he left Harley and her husband to attend to them
“I thought you wont be coming again, Vienna how have you been?” he asked smiling at her and took her by the hand to sit then ask one of the maid to call out Sasha and her husband
“ever since you became pregnant your husband has been hiding you from us and you also decide not to let me know about it?” Vienna turned to look at Alan surprised. They had plan to keep it a secret but it happens they cant do that with this man, How did he even know they are already married. Alan wasn’t really surprised but still amazed to see how active his grandfather is
“Vienna you are pregnant! Wow, amazing both of you” Harley exclaimed greatly surprised and move over to Alan’s side to congratulate him but Alan avoid her and smile politely instead making her feel awkward so she went over to Vienna’s side instead.
Since his mother got married to Harley’s father years back and also bought a three years old Harley with him, shortly after he was born but the two of them never had a good relationship and when he was taken away by his grandfather, Harley get to stay with their parents and whenever they meet till now they just greet each other and there has been no other interaction between them except when Harley wants to look for his trouble or annoy him.
“did I hear you say pregnant, who is pregnant? Harley are you?” Sasha asked as she entered the room and sat down beside her husband.
“no mum not me but Vienna” Harley answered with a low tone.
Both Sasha and Williams were surprised but Williams quickly congratulate them while Sasha feels reluctant to. Although she has always long to have a grandchild but she dislike Vienna
“you were really serious with what you said months ago, I thought you didn’t mean it then” Sasha said instead
“we also got married, yesterday” Alan informed them and Sasha flare up
“hoe can you decide to get married without letting your own mother know about it? You get married, you are having a baby, do you plan to keep things from me now” she yelled looking at Vienna instead of her son
“I don’t tell you this things before and you are informed now so there’s no need to get emotional also I told the last time didn’t I?” he said to remind her about the last time she asked Vienna out.
“what do you mean? I didn’t say anything am just concerned as your mother, You need my blessing to get married”
“whether I get your blessings before or now it makes no different and also Vienna has something to tell you”
“why don’t I and Harley take our leave now, we still have things to do so we wont disturb you” Harley’s husband Edward said and pull Harley up.
“what things do you have to do that is so urgent? grandfather called us here remember” Harley said and remove his hand from hers.
“if you two has something urgent then its okay, you can leave” grandfather replied and dismissed them.
Harley walk out of the building with her husband and was about to enter the car when her husband pull her back roughly making her to hit her head on the back of the car. Harley wriggle in pain and tears start to form in her eyes.
“you idiot, you said that fool was capable enough now look where your stupidity has landed me, now that old grandfather of yours has the reason to doubt and throw insult words at me all because of you” he yelled at her and hit her in the face hardly. Harley held her face and tears start to fall from them, she sob quietly and stare at him in anger
“why are you looking at me like that? What do you want to do? hit me back then you will really get it from me. You think because people call you a daughter of the Clinton family you are something” he said and push her again.
“your brother’s wife is pregnant and you are happy when you’ve been married to me for a while now without nothing to show for it, but then why would I except someone like you to be able to give me a child but at least don’t spoil things for me and just do the right thing” he yelled at her again and enter the car then zoom off leaving her stranded.
Harley wipe her tears acting like nothing just happened and start to walk away to get a cab for herself, If it wasn’t for Alan spoiling everything then that useless husband of hers won't be able to raise his fingers at her and now even Sasha seems to want to accept Vienna because she is pregnant while she will be the one to suffer from an arranged marriage and her own son gets all the happiness, never she vow and soon get a cab.
