Chapter 77: Chapter 77
Alan wait outside restlessly with Vanessa as the doctor examine her and Alan question Vanessa severally about what happened which she explained it to him in details. Alan call for more security and some bodyguards from the Clinton family arrive shortly and stand at the entrance of the private ward Vienna is and also some were stationed at where Benita is being operated on. After about one hour, the doctor came out and told them they could go in and see Vienna now and the both of them rush in.
She was laying down in the hospital gown and looks clean now and the smell of blood on her body was gone, her face was turned to the other side and they heard her sobbing and thought they heard wrong. Alan move over to the other side and touch her face to see that she was really crying and was startled wondering what the problem could be. When she felt someone touch her, Vienna open her eyes and raise her head to see Alan then stare at him for a few second before bursting into tears and crying out loudly. The two of them were taken aback and Alan try to console her all to no avail
“hey, why are you crying did something happened or did the doctor say anything? Stop crying and talk to me” Alan and Vanessa said worried and Alan tried to hug her to persuade her but she hit him instead to Alan’s surprise. She continue hitting him and also continue crying profusely.
After trying for a few more minutes without getting any answer out of her, he asked Vanessa to excuse them guessing that it must be something she doesn't want her sister to hear.
“Vanessa can you excuse us for sometime?” he asked.
“sure, I will be outside waiting for you two” she answered and left quietly then Alan turn back to Vienna waiting for her to talk.
“your sister has left now you can tell me whatever it is” he said and try to coax her to talk. Vienna calm down and stop crying a little then he use his hand to clean her tears.
“The..doctor..told..me..that..am..pregnant” she finally said stuttering and burst into another round of tears. Alan look confused and was speechless to hear the reason why she is crying so much.
He doesn't even know to be happy or console her now but still he smiled broadly and quickly stop himself before she sees him.
“so…why exactly are you crying?” he asked again slowly. Vienna raise her head to him surprised at his question
“I just told you that the doctor said am pregnant and you are asking me again for the reason why am crying?” she said annoyed
“yeah I know but isn't pregnancy a good thing? You are excepting our child and you should be happy about it”
“happy? How can you say it like that, now I cant go to school till I give birth and also I will have to get married fast so I don’t give birth out of wedlock and also what about my body shape I will lose all of that and then after giving birth I have to be a mother and take care of him and also be responsible for you and him and our whole family” she emphasized.
Alan laugh out loud after listening to her but Vienna frown still keeping a serious face which made Alan laugh more.
“so you are worried about all these and that’s why you are crying? But then you already thought so much, You already give a thought to having the baby and a wedding and also taking care of our family even the baby’s gender” he replied and stare at her eyes with smiles.
“that is not the main issue here, the main point is that this is definitely bad and not good at this time and also, you gave me the contraceptive right? Then how come am pregnant?” she asked getting more irritated. Alan sigh and stop smiling then draw her closer and hugged her
“those are not hundred percent sure and also we can wait till you give birth then you go back to school and I will take care of our baby. You know I love you and our baby wouldn't be very happy to see you saying that about him, its not good for the child in you” he said and Vienna finally calm down after hearing about her baby and hugged him back and they remain like that in each others arm for a while.
“but then we cant have a big wedding, we’ll just have a court wedding and then wait till I finish school before really having a wedding. How about that?’ she asked disengaging from him. Although the idea doesn't settle well with Alan but he still agrees and kiss her lightly.
After Vanessa left, she waited at the door for them and after waiting for a while she decide to leave and walk around then she went to where Benita is to check on her and her surgery was done and successful. She went back from there to the ward Benita is in now and the police allowed her in after verifying her identity. She entered and saw that she is awake so she ask to speak with her privately and they all excuse her and stood by the door. She move over to her and sat down on the chair next to her with an hostile look.
