Vienna walk up to where Karen is and stood beside him nervously.
“first of all, Alan is not blind, not permanently nor temporarily. He has regain his sight and he is not here because he is busy and also, no new chairman has been appointed not until I or grandfather say so” she said feeling very nervous. Karen spring up from his seat and move closer to her then held her hand.
“what do you think you are doing right now?” he said in between his teeth so the reporters doesn't hear him and face them again
“no need to mind whatever she has said, she is just shock that is why” he said and smile at them to hide his anger then signal for someone to come get her out.
“am not saying nonsense and am not shocked about anything, also if my husband to be is not here then I will take over the affairs of the company. Although you are part of the family but you are still but an adopted son and the position is only pass down to those who are real family. Unless you are trying to steal the company” Vienna said gaining some confidence and yank his hand away. Karen felt nervous and furious when he saw the doubt in the face of everyone especially the directors but then Benita came forward and step in. She smiled sweetly at Vienna and link hands with her to Vienna’s surprise
“am sure miss Vienna doesn't mean to say it that way, she is just nervous because she doesn't understand what is going on here and thought maybe Karen is trying to steal the company away for himself, after all she is not educated and things like these are quite complicated for her” she said to hint everyone about the fact that she cant run the company with her little knowledge about things at the company and everyone start to murmur after hearing her then the doubt on the directors faces disappeared.
“that’s true, she doesn't even understand anything about the affairs of the company then how is she going to help? She is just trying to disturb this meeting” they said and both Benita and Karen were happy. Vienna become more nervous after hearing them and felt sick in her tummy
“Vienna am sure you must be stressed, why don't I take you to have a rest” Benita said and pull her along with her to get her away. Vienna refuse but didn’t want to constitute a nuisance in front of everyone and turn to Sasha for help but she is not at the place she left her anymore. She cried in her heart for Alan to please appear and do something and just as Benita could pull away from the room finally, Alan entered with Kellie and Joel following him and some bodyguards like he was listening to Vienna's thought Everyone was surprised and shocked to see him there and also not blind like they say including Benita who release Vienna unaware and quickly ran out, Vienna wanted to chase her but more than that she is more concerned about Alan and where he has been. She walk over to him and stood in front of him, Alan walked pass her and went to sit where Karen was. The reporters after getting over their shock rush towards him and start to question him nonstop. Alan keep quiet not saying anything or giving any reply to their questions then someone shouted amidst them.
“everyone check the news” he shouted and there is everything Karen and his partners with some people in the company including Sanchez and Alan’s sister Harley. How they misused the company fund and took a lot of money for themselves and also their involvement in the incident three years ago also about the coal they wanted to claim for themselves. After everyone read it they start to look at Karen in another light then the police also entered to arrest those involved. Karen was still confused about what was happening until he was handcuffed by the police also with Martin.Karen stare at Alan angrily for a while before the police took them away with his men but Benita already ran away. After that, Alan ask everyone out with the promise to release news to the press soon and ask everyone in for another meeting having only Kellie to follow him in leaving the rest outside. Vienna stood on a spot and only took in a deep breath after the door was closed. Thankfully Alan came on time and turn the situation around. Joel came over to her side with Sasha and they pull her to a seat, Sasha place a hand on her shoulder to make her calm down.
“what happened? Why couldn’t I reach any of you?”Sasha snap at Joel bringing Vienna back to her senses.
“Am asking you what happened and what was the nonsense about he been blind permanently? How come in walk in himself? Since when can he see without informing anyone even me his mother?” Sasha showered him with lot of questions.
“ma’am I think it will be better for you to ask him all these directly, I just followed the instructions he gave me” he answered and face Vienna.
“are you okay? Will you like some water?” he asked
“no no need, am just nervous and a little sick in the stomach” she answered and close her eyes briefly but the arrival of Vanessa and her mother with Nisan interrupt them.
“Vienna! Thank goodness you are fine. We heard about what just happened now?” her mother said and rush to hug her while Vanessa and Nisan stand at a distance away from them.
“mom it was nothing, am good” she said and pull away from her mother. Victoria sigh in relieve after hearing her reply.
“I told you she will be fine and there is nothing to worry about” Vanessa said nonchalantly.
“that was not what I heard from you just some minutes ago, you even wanted to drive here to help your sister so she wouldn't be bullied by anyone” Nisan said remembering how worried and restless Vanessa was before they arrived there.
“what rubbish are you saying? Am not naive to think that she will get into problem here” she denied and turn away to sit else where
