Chapter 58: Chapter 58
It took Alan and Joel more than four hours to get to the city where Alan live. Alan put a call to Kellie to ask where exactly they are and instruct Joel to drive straight to the hospital. He continue fuming with anger in the car at the fact that Benita really has the gut to try to harm Vienna right under his nose. He hit the car in anger and urge Joel to go faster, after about five hours of driving, the car pull up at the entrance of the hospital and Alan rush out. Although his sight is not yet okay but due to the panic he forgot all about it and rush in leaving Joel behind who rush to park the car and follow him. They both got to where Kellie is and Alan asked where Vienna is
“sir you..you..can..you can see now?” Kellie asked bewildered but Alan ignore her and turn to the nanny who was equally surprised to see him
“where is she? What’s the situation? I don’t want to repeat myself again” he snap at them and they both came back to their senses
“the doctors are running some test on her but she is still unconscious and they cant seem to find out what the problem is so it will take a while” Kellie answered while Joel walk up to them
“calm down, whatever it is am sure the doctor will find a cure and take care of it” Joel said to assure him and they all continue to wait for the results of the test.
After a little while more, the doctor called then to his office to see them and relay the result to them while Kellie and the nanny stay behind with Vienna in the ward she is being admitted to still unconscious
“this is quite strange and we haven't gotten a case like this for a long time now. Despite every test we’ve done we still cant figure out what is wrong and why she fell unconscious nor the reason why she is still not waking up but her blood and water is drying up” the doctor break the news to them looking helpless
“so you are saying as a doctor you cant even wake up someone who just collapsed? Where is the best doctor here?” Alan asked angrily
“calm down Alan” Joel said and face the doctor
“so doctor what do you think we can do now?” Joel asked politely
“according to my experience, I think it must be that she was injected with a kind of drug that existed a long time ago. Thinking back on what I heard about the drug, it was created by a scientist a very long time ago and it was tested a quite a few number of people. Its doesn't have a name but some people call it SV, its a kind of poison that kills slowly once it comes in contact with someone and its takes forty two hours before it takes effect or gets noticed in the body system and if my guess is right, miss Vienna has probably come in contract with this poison which is impossible because it was destroyed a long time ago and sadly no one knows the cure for it. I will continue checking up on her to see if there is any effect or change in her before confirming” the doctor explained while Alan look on confused
“there is no need for that doctor we will like to take her home right now” Joel said and pull Alan along with him outside
“what are you doing?” Alan asked
“according to what the doctor said if she really is poisoned with that then we have very little time to safe her. The reason why the doctors cant see anything in the test is because it hasn’t been up to forty two hours since she came in contact with the poison and the reason why she is showing effect to it must be because she ate or took in something that speed up the effect of the poison in her body so we cant detect anything and that is even more dangerous. I think I might have a solution” Joel explained as they walk to the ward where she is
“we are leaving now” Alan said immediately they enter the room and remove the plaster on her hand then carried her in a bridal way out of the ward while Kellie and the nanny followed after him protesting but he didn’t even look back at them. Joel rush over to the car and open the door for him then he place Vienna in the back seat and enter the car with her while Joel climb the driver seat and drove off. Kellie and the nanny followed them in Kellie’s car and they arrive at Alan’s house in no time. Alan got off the car and carried Vienna upstairs to their room with Kellie’s help and place her on the bed then cover her. He sat down beside her and felt her temperature, if not for the fact that she is unconscious he will think there is nothing wrong with her, she looks so normal even with her eyes closed then the realization draw on Alan, he is seeing her face for the first time after a long time now although not very clearly but still alright. He place his hand on her cheek and rub them gently with a smile on her face. He wanted to come back after regaining his sight and let them sort out the issues they have then make her his whether she loves him for real or not but he has to come and see her in this condition and flare up at the thought of Benita, how dare she use such vicious way on her? He thought angrily
“Alan I need to contact master but I cant through to him right now, he knows the antidote for this” Joel said with a worried look after trying his master’s number without getting through
‘so you are saying there is no way we can do anything to take care of the poison right now? Why on earth isn't he picking up his damn phone” Alan yelled even more angry
“you don’t have to get mad I will keep trying and see what I can do but till then do something to make a change in her temperature or something” he said and went away again. Alan called the nanny and instruct her to get some cold water for him and when she bought it he use it to wipe her body to change her temperature but after sometime there is no change at all so he went out to meet Joel to see if there is any progress with the call
“he is still not picking but… yeah right Alan I need to use your computer” Joel said realizing something and Alan lead him to his study room after instructing Kellie to stay on guard with Vienna and told nanny not to inform anyone about anything
