River's POV

"I'm on my way," I coldly said to my secretary. I don't even know why do I need to watch this fucking awarding.

I was so annoyed because Grandpa had no other thing to say but to marry someone. I still have a pile of documents in my office but I need to congratulate people who got their awards.

The party is already starting when I got there. I was just about to enter when a woman rushed out, which is why she bumped into me.

"I'm sorry," she weakly said. I had no intention of talking to her but I just frowned when I saw how she suddenly vomited. And fucking worst, she pukes on my hands.

“Holy cow! I'm sorry!” There was a look of confusion on her face. She didn’t even know how to wipe my hand. I couldn’t help but wince before irritably removing her hands and wiping mine. She looked so scared while doing it.

“Damn it. I'm already late!” I was annoyed and would have gone straight to leave but I could see that she look so pale while in her place. I was even more irritated. I feel like it's my fault that she puked into me, huh?

I just closed my eyes before I turned to her. She looks like she's in the verge of crying. I don’t know if it's because of drunkenness or what. She couldn't drink but she still drank huh.

“It’s fine. I'll just wash my hands,” I said because her crying face pop into my mind. She looked at me before slowly nodding. She was pursing her lips while looking at me too. It still seems to be holding back the tears.

I went straight to the comfort room. I passed by her too. She's familiar. I think she's a celebrity in my company. I just shrugged my shoulders there. After I clean my hands, I went straight inside. The awarding already ended and now my job is to talk with some of those awardees. I just smiled and greeted them. I also received only gratitude. I've been busy all night.

I plan to just stop by here because there is a lot more papers to finish in the office. It was late at night when I decided to go out and continue working. I was already out when my forehead furrowed looking at the dark part of the garden. Someone is sitting there. And it looks very cold. I just stopped when I saw her face. It's the girl earlier. That's why I never saw her at the party inside, looks like she's been sitting there.

"What are you doing here? The party is not over yet,” I said before handing her my coat. She just looked at it for a long time before taking it in my hand. She's wearing a backless dress revealing her sexy back.

"Thank you…" she said, smiling at me. I can't help but look at her there.

“It’s just that… People keep on asking me to drink… I can’t take the liquor anymore. It tastes so bitter. It's not delicious at all… ” she said so I couldn't stop staring at him. She was just pouting.

“Why? Can’t you say no?” I ask. She shook her head.

“I can't… I'm just an unknown celebrity… Who I am to say no?” she said, now looking up at the sky.

"What?" I couldn’t help but frown there. Why can't she?

"I needed project and money… If I would need to talk with them just to gain one… I'll do it… But it's just really tiring… I want to go home now…" she whispered softly so I just stared at him.

"I'll drop you home then…" I said. I don't even know why I'm wasting my time with someone I don't really know at all but I just can't help it. I should be in the office now and working but I am still able to ask questions to her now.

She was able to really fall asleep. She seems to be very tired of talking to other people. Only then did she stand up when she heard someone calling to her.

"Thanks for lending your shoulder for a while, Mister," she said, smiling at me before running back inside. I even heard the woman scold her. Her manager I think.

She was so innocent… Looks like it's really new in the industry. I expected to see her again because the industry we belong to is not that vast but the second time I saw her, she was slowly changing.

She was more confident talking with people now. She looks like she's more comfortable. She was even able to drink now.

“River! Grandpa's been waiting for you at the table for a while,” Lake complained when he approached me. His forehead immediately frowned when he looked at the side where I was looking. The smirk immediately curved on his lips.

"Who's that? One of your playmates again?” he asked me.

"Shut up, Lake, don't make me line up without someone like you," I said so his grin widened even more as he looked at me.

The jerk even told some of our friends about it. I didn't even try to give them attention.

Aviena forget that she met me or I don't even know if she acted like she doesn't know me. The fourth time I saw her, her sister introduced her to us. She was smiling at us seductively. It was so different from the smile I got from her the first time we saw each other. Not that it matters to me. I don't really like her at all. I was just interested in her.

"I'm Aviena, Known ask Vena," she introduced herself before extending her hand to some businessmen. I just looked at her. I was annoyed because I saw her introducing herself to a lot of businessmen here. Those idiots look like a dog who is drooling over a portion of food. They held her hand tightly. When she held out her hand to me, I looked her in the eyes. I don't even know why I feel like her eyes were already telling me that she was tired. Why do I even care about this girl? I just shook my head before turning around.

I didn't even hold her hand. I can't help but be annoyed thinking that those businessmen are thinking things about her. Just based on those creepy smile of them, it seems like they want to indicate something. I was irritated. I don't even know why.

“The new sexy star was really beautiful. Is her name Vena? Maybe it would be nice to taste that one in bed. She probably has a tasty body. ” My jaw tightened when I heard some celebrities talking about Aviena's body. I thought only landfills had garbage, so we also have some here at the party, huh?

When I approached them they were immediately taken aback by what they were talking about. Others even stood while looking at me.

“Good evening, Mr. Savellano,” they greeted me. I just gave them a cold look.

“I don’t want asshole in my company. If you can't respect your co-artist. Expect that you will be forever on vacation,” I told them coldly so they immediately went straight to us and looked at each other. He also realized what was being said earlier so he immediately apologized.

“I don’t need your apology. Speak thing like that to your co-artist or even to someone else, you won't know where to pick your name,” I said before irritably leaving their table.

When I got to the bachelors room, I could see Black's eyes narrowing at me.

“I saw you getting mad at some celebrity earlier? What did those assholes do?” he asked. That one is always upset with models and actors so I won't be surprised if he's provoking. I didn't speak before sitting on the sofa.

"I guess they say something to the love of your life?" Pride asked me before sipping the wine he was drinking. He still had a wide grin as he looked at me so I just gave him a glare. I don't know why this one is gossipy. His older brother is not like that. He saw me liking Aviena's picture on Instagram days ago so he won't forget about it again.

I was just annoyed the whole time at the party. That’s just how often it happens when I see Aviena. She gradually became known because of her movies that seemed far from Aviena’s when I first met her.

“What are you watching, River? I didn't know you were addicted to telenovela now, huh? ” Marissa even looked at my television before she sat down next to me.

"Or should I say you're interested in the antagonist?" Marissa's grin was still wide as her eyes narrowed at me as well. I just shake my head there and ignored her. She always knew things about me. She's been my best friend since we were children.

“Shut up, Marissa. Stop pestering me. ” I know she won't stop until she gets an answer to her question.

“Do you really like her? Omg! This is big news! I'll tell Ocean about it. ” She grinned broadly there.

“I don’t like her. I'm just interested in her,” I ended up saying it so the smirk on her lips widened even more.

“So the great River Savellano is now interested in someone, huh? This is big news! I will spread it!” she was still happy so I glared at her. She just laughed and kept her mouth shut because of the way I looked at her. She just ends up zippering her mouth. I just ignore her too. I just kept my eyes on the television especially when I saw that it was Aviena's scene now.

Aviena always has a villain role but her roles in those are also often sexy. Those types who attract the main lead. She's always a mistress in those films. She's good at acting I know but that's just different behind the camera. She looks like she is always tired of interacting with people. Like now…

I was a little surprised when she was next to me here on the balcony. She seem too drunk again. She just stared at the sky and slowly burst into tears. I just kept quiet there. It seems like she doesn't want to talk and interact with people anymore so I just left her side but I didn't really go far. I just stay somewhere close while trying to let those people who wanted to talk to her move away, as if I imperial guard who was a good servant of an empress. I can't help but smirk at that thought.
